Pros

Speed of connection , ease of use, ease of setup. Plus I like the fact we can set it to where the user allow us connection and they know we aren't just watching them

Cons

Wish I could customize connection type more. to where I can select a certain connection type at all times

Saving time and energy allowing me more time to address other issues. Working on a college campus can be time consuming travelling around from office to office in different buildings, etc.

Pros

Easy to log in and use as I learn it more. The documentation has been useful in helping me begin using this software on the computers as needed. As the semester goes on I hope to have this tool help in saving a great amount of time especially in winter across the campus.

Cons

Kind of learning as I go. It can be tricky logging into different machines and dealing with different user accounts depending on what computer, desktop or laptop. However time will likely assist in learning the software and gaining more knowledge as we continue to use it.

Pros

The ability to screen-share is obviously what I use it for. There seems to be a lot of different features that I do not know about that I would like to learn eventually.

Cons

I do not like all the calls and emails I get from downloading this. It is slightly annoying, but I don't mind it that much.

Pros

Security features which allow you setup up with a proxy. A lot of great features to come with, plus unlimited license of agent to install.

Cons

Could be confuse to setup, modify settings / configurations for beginning users, but once you use it for a few times, you will fall in love with all the features.

Easy remote tool and full abilities when remoting in to a client machine. The file transfer while connected is easy to use.

Pros

Easy remote tool. Full control of remote device. Able to lock mouse/keyboard. File Transfer is quick and easy.

Cons

the video driver that loads can cause issues on the remote device. The holding of the list of remote devices is not helpful.

Regained time lost from traveling to sites.

Pros

Ease of Use. Pleasing design. The ability for me to troubleshoot easy issues remotely. Saving both time and money.

Cons

Must be connected to a VPN if offsite. Doesn't have the capability to use like some other remote login software (I could be wrong)

Pros

I like knowing what devices are using the most traffic on the LAN. We use ipMonitor extensively. Alerts are a great feature.

Cons

I hate all HTML browser based apps. They are all in some way clunky. Device Tracker could use some work for ease of use and functionality for discovering new rogue devices.

Pros

I use the product to connect to kiosk computers that are used by vendors. The software enables me to connect without permission, so I can resolve the issue remotely. The software helps me to save time by not having to go to the kiosk.

Cons

I do not know or use all the features. My one con would be I have an issue moving the screen when I have connected to a computer to another monitor.

Remote administration from a central location. Ease of managing workstations and supporting end users.

Pros

It just works, has all the features that I need and doesn't cost my IT budget an arm and a leg every year. Seemless for end users and saves me a lot of walking.

Cons

It was a little tricky to setup with multiple VLANs/subnets but I got it working without much hassle.

Seems that it could be extremely easy to use once configured. The configuration process was easy to setup and pretty straight forward

Cons

Cost could be a deterrent. Based on the costs of similar software, it seemed that the dollar for dollar estimate could make it a pricey option. Depends on the final costs based on user.

Very useful product. I have used this in AD environments and single use, you can uninstall the agent when you log off so essentially no trace left behind.

Pros

Easy to use, very user friendly, i don't see anything wrong with the software, very pleased overall, I would recommend.

Cons

More features would help, but I believe that there wasn't that many cons to this program that I could point out.

I use this software to remotely support over 200 users and connect to 30+ servers. It doesn't crash and is reliable. The AD integration is a plus but it can seem messy at times. Wish there was a better way to organize everything. Don't need things gone but I certainly need things out of the way.

I'm sure it works well when it works, I've seen other technicians use this software and it seems to serve its purpose at a value.

Cons

Could you POSSIBLY make the installing of this software anymore complicated? I've installed software for 15 years, this is the absolute worst.

It is integrated with our Solar Winds Helpdesk, which allows Dameware to be run from within a ticket.

Cons

I have not had the time I would like to work with Dameware, however I noticed that there is no portal based access.

Pros

I like integration Dameware with Active Directory, functionality and simplicity. Buld in RDP works fine.

Cons

Interface needs to be improved. Also, it seems like design might be done in mo modern way. Dameware has some slowness in syncing with Active Directory.
