Pros

Great list of LAN support features such as file transfer, mapped drives, services list, and event logs.

Cons

The drivers don't work well with my MS Surface Book. Despite multiple hours with Solarwinds Support, the issue still isn't resolved and the program is extremely difficult to use on my laptop; I avoid doing so whenever I can use a desktop instead.

Pros

I like the MSI builder portion which makes client deployments easy to configure and push. I also like the fact that it offers multiple credential options from encrypted windows logon to Smart card logon

Cons

Computer name lookup. Wish it had last login information which would allow for easier lookups. Sometimes the license portion is hard to activate. Also, the support for the softer seems to be general ) no software specialist available in helpdesk that can help with technical questions and concerns.

Pros

Remote support feature was a big plus. Able to remote into a system and presence not aware. Ability to see background information regarding the system when doing support. A lot of newer features.

Cons

Not much of a change. Had version 6.8 and now version 12. No visible change for remote and still acts a bit buggy.

Its easy to use, easy to install and gets us into PCs Laptops and Virtual images quickly and efficiently.

Pros

All you need is a machine name and BAM your set to go. Also it remembers your creds which helps speed things up a whole lot.

Cons

Configuring monitor settings between users is awkward ie going from 1 to 2 monitor users. It'd be nice if this was automated to save time.

Ease of Use, Features for getting around on remote computer, easy to see everything on remote computer and transfer files to and from remote machine

Cons

Hard to move the screen around when connected to a computer. Would be nice if there was an easy way to drag the connection to a different monitor

Pros

The interface is very easy to navigate and quick to respond. Remote install of the mirror driver is also quick.

Cons

In our environment we have about 40% of our machines that are Mac. The remote ability allows you to remotely control a MAC, but not share the users current session. This really defeats the purpose of troubleshooting remotely.

It seems there are 98% of the features I could wish for in a support tool. No complaints on functionality here. Worth the investment for LAN based support needs.

Cons

Has a little bit of an older style interface. It could be more finger friendly for tablets. More powershell features could be useful.

Pros

This software made it so much more convenient for me to provide helpdesk support to my clients. They just provided me their IP address and I signed into their system for troubleshooting. It had a very easy to use GUI and rarely gave me issue.

Cons

If the customer had a custom display scaling, it would throw off the entire remote session and make it hard to accurately click anything remotely. It was also irritating to switch screens remotely if the customer was using more than one screen.

Pros

Easy to setup and use. We use Dameware Remote Support to connect with technical support to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.

Cons

I would like to be able to set up users to be able to remotely connect and remain connected...even if the connection temporarily fails.

We have loved using this application package for over 10 years now. Not simply remote desktop mirroring for support, but many more features.

Cons

Saving credentials for quicker access could be better. Browsing large directories for small subset of OU's could be improved.

IT has been reliable and easy to use within our environment. Very easy especially in a Help Desk situation. I am able to easily take care of problems and educate end users at the same time. There is a wealth of information that can be obtained in the background without disturbing users.

Cons

At times there are connection problems with older operating systems. At times there are issues when installing the client for the end user when connecting for the first time.

Dameware is a simplistic cost effective piece of software the allows me to remote into computers and fix problems from afar.

Cons

Sometimes when it scans the network for available machines, it wigs out a little bit, but those are very few and far between.

Pros

Easy to view\\scan your domain computers. Quickly bring up a users PC for support issues. We have been using Dameware remote support for years without issue. : )

Cons

Remote and Internet users support can be a bit of a challenge sometimes when troubleshooting VPN issues.

Remotely support my mobile users.

Pros

The tools set is so very intuitive and easy to use. I really appreciate the ability to be able to send the agent install from my desktop. We have several tricky connections, and with DameWare, it puts the BS to bed!

Cons

The only downfall I have ever ran into with DameWare. My employee upgraded his version without checking with the team lead. Next thing lead to all users having to upgrade to the current version. i would love to see backwards compatibility.

Much cheaper than LogMeIn Rescue and the connection never leaves our network.

Pros

Quick and easy to connect to client's computers. Has all of the features that I need in a remote assistance software.

Cons

Wish it was easier to save credentials safely. FIPS mode could be a bit easier but overall it's fine the way it is.

That it wont let you set one type of logon as a default this would be helpful since we are getting on one pc after another.

Pros

The ability to connect without the need for a user to be present on the client side. The ability to easily transfer files to and from the client. The fact that the viewing control is not a fixed resolution.

Cons

When adding or editing new client connections, the user interface is not always clear as to what the data being entered means in the context and how it will be used.
