The courses are very informational and practical. Cons Although I think the courses are great, employees typically only use the software when they are onboarded. I cancelled my account, however, they did not close the account when requested, instead kept it open, then sent to collections. Selfish, unethical jerks. Pros I do not have any pros to speak of about Relias, not a good company. Cons Very expensive, unethical company. They will not cancel your account when requested, they will keep you account active after requested cancellation and send you to collections. Customer service is poor, takes time for the account rep to get back with you. Outdated software, need to click through multiple screens to get where you want to go, confusing. It's does a great job doing exactly what it's intended to do. My dad use to say "if you aren't learning, you're loitering. Learn something every single day." Relias actually helped me learn a "lot of something's" countless times. So my dad would likely approve too if her were still here!! Pros While working as a direct support professional in a men's group home, one of the benefits our company offered was an abundance of continued education in our ever-changing field. Relias Learning uses a straight forward approach in teaching & doesn't flood your mind with unnecessary knowledge that is most likely instilled in us from birth. I loved being able to renew required certificates, while on the couch with my family in the evenings. The Oregon Adminstrative Rules are constantly updating & making changes to their regulations & requirements. When you work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, or anyone part of a vulnerable community .. It's crucial that we are in compliance at all times. Relias Learning is a program that allows you to work at your own pace. Your employer sets the deadlines for completing whatever courses you've been assigned. The website is simple to navigate & does all the communicating with the employee, in terms of whether or not you met the learning deadlines. Hopefully you are informed in advance about the amount of time you have to meet the requirements. A few of my coworkers over the past few years were temporarily suspended until they completed the modules, re-certified or whatever the case happened to be!! Cons Its required to watch videos on some of the modules. You aren't allowed to skip any of them without 100% completion of the video. At the end of some lesson you will answer several multiple-choice questions. If you have not paid attention to the video, then you will have no idea how to answer these questions. Some of the instructors speak ridiculously slow & don't seem to be enjoying the process. There's often no inflection in their voice which can be somewhat annoying & I have been know to lose interest faster then I should. Review Source SG Stephen G. Pros The database has incredible resources for all relevant behavioral health subjects, as well as regulatory requirements. Relias is easy to use, and most importantly enables agency specific content to be uploaded to the platform. Cons The cost per user, as we have grows this becomes more problematic. " August 11, 2021 5.0 Pros I like the reporting, certificates, and approved pre-built trainings that can be used as CE credits for a multiple of licensures. Our customer service rep has been fantastic when it comes to being responsive to our company needs and problems we encounter in the system. Cons Some of the pre-built trainings are very poorly built. Many of our staff find themselves "completed" with the learning portion, but unable to enter the final exam (which is required for every Relias course). Pros Relias has so many classes to choose from and is a great fit for our organization where we have healthcare providers as well as staff who do not interact with patients. We can offer classes that are more in-depth for our staff who interface with clients and still meet governmental requirements by offering less detailed to training to administrative staff. Pros I like the content offered and the features they stated they had available. It is easy for the learner to use as long as there are no glitches. Support is terrible once there are glitches. Cons This software is easy to work with from a learner perspective, but then if there is a problem it is so convoluted on how to get support. It is terrible!! Learner's emails for support go to the corporate person's inbox. They have deleted their support email and now you have to fill out a 15 part form in order to submit a request. It's terrible support. It's hard to get the specific reports you want and you can't filter someone's transcript by the training plan you are looking for. I hate this product. Review Source ML Matt L. Pros Terrible product save your money and time and go with HCP Training or care academy. Cons No support after signing a long term contract. Will not work on cell phones or tablets, this was discovered after being sold the product believing it was supported for our mobile workers. Pros I have taken over 60 courses through relias and have been very pleased with the content. The courses are easy to navigate, and take approximately the scheduled amount of time to complete or less. There is a broad range of courses available from software (ms office), and HR/management/ leadership to health related topics and direct client service. I was easily able to get professional development credit for the courses, even if they were not preapproved by my accrediting association as the course outline and instructor qualifications were readily available to submit. Cons I have no significant cons to report. When launched the course always opens in another window, and a pop up will tell you this, so be aware of your settings. Review Source AB Amber B. Pros The benefits of building an in-house Learning Management System tailored to your organization's specificity has much to be desired. Customization, Improved Functionality, Brand Integration and Targeted Expenses. Cons There are risks of technical challenges as with any in-house system, there's always a chance that you will have to deal with tech glitches, even if you purchased the pre-built LMS. As a company, we use RELIAS to track our online and in person training. I am in charge of uploading everyone's certificates into RELIAS and at first it was a little confusing but after doing it so many times it is super easy to do. I like that there is the option for employees to register for a training and send an email to their manager for approval- before RELIAS, tracking who wanted to go to what training was a mess. RELIAS has helped our company so much in the little time we have used it. Cons Not that I liked it least, but there are so many options to explore, it took a little longer to get used to it and learn it. Review Source MW Matt W. Many of my colleagues report that the modules do not always work as they should. Pros The courses are easy enough to navigate and are presented clearly and effectively. Courses are easy to start and save your place if you need to take a break. Cons Some of the modules apparently have to be completed from a PC. Sometimes the audio will stop working mid-course. Some courses are set up to where the user must listen to the audio for every slide before one can go to the next slide and this can get very annoying and feels unnecessarily time confusing. Director of Education Used the software for: ### "Continues to dazzle" July 31, 2014 4.0 We've been on Relias for approximatley 7 months now and are moving through the process of rolling it out to over 7000 staff in over 50 locations, as well as in community healthcare. This is not a smal project , but throughout the process so far I've found the support to be exemplary. Calls are returned and answered quickly and their "CHAT" help desk is a god-send. With regard to the product itself, the number of options in reporting makes it far more versatile than the previous LMS we had and the feature that allows us to create a report, save it, and have it automatically generated and emailed to the Manager who developed it is a real selling point. " April 7, 2026 1.0 Extremely negative. When approaching our Account Manager, it was another new account manager, who indicated that it was our fault, that they were reaching out to two former \[sensitive content hidden\], over a 5 month period, when I (still employed) at the organization had negotiated the recent contract renewal with our "then" account manager and renewal specialist. Pros It's nice that the catalog has content for our ABA employees as well as the DD/ID employees. I'm not fond of the rotating door of Account Managers. Cons I'm a 20 year veteran in the L&D space and have worked with countless LMS in that time. Relias' contract renewal practices are the worst in the business. 60 day cancellation notifications seems acceptable, but if you miss it, you're locked in for the term of your contract. 3 year contract? then you're renewed for 3 years, automatically. Secondly, make sure you update your contact names officially with the account. Whether or not you're in communication with them (even as far as renewing a contract with them), because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Unfortunately, their mismanagement of our account and their business practices, negatively impacted our users. Not an "We apologize", but a "you should have formally notified us" If you can find another software to meet your needs, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. Relias has outdated and predatory practices that are not user friendly, and always end up serving Relias, rather than the customer. Review Source KJ Katie J.
