Excellent team, great support and very proactive. Setup was easy and painless.

Pros

Ease of use, fantastic list building tools, easy to send campaigns, setup workflows and love the legal coverage to keep us up to date on any legislative or legal changes.

Cons

The tools available for customer service are somewhat lacking. I know this is something that's being addressed in their product roadmap, but in the mean time we do need to use an external service for CS/CX.

Reason for choosing Attentive

For marketing, Attentive just has a much better feature set for list building. As we're just entering the SMS space, this is one of the main hurdles for us to deal with. Hopefully, as our SMS list grows and expands, we'll be able to consolidate our tools over to Attentive so our CS/CX team can work out of the same system.

### "A great platform for SMS"

Happy with all the features they offer, the price point is competitive, and the support is top-notch.

Pros

It was really easy to learn, and the layout was very intuitive. Support was amazing, and if we ever had a question or a glitch, we could get it handled almost immediately through live chat. We also never had issues with segmentation and delivery. And when building campaigns, you have an AI block that helps you come up with more creative language.

Cons

We used it as a standalone sms program, so integrating with our email platform and trying to navigate who does what where added some time and difficulty.

Overall they were helpful but i had so many technical issues that i ended up not being able to properly use the service to it's fullest potential

Pros

I enjoyed the automated cart reminders and text alerts and text blasts

Cons

I didnt like the pricing, and their landing page to sign up for texts was awful It wouldnt finalize the sign up for text alerts if the customer clicked the landing page from facebook

Excellent! It is great for a small business like ours and the scheduling and analytics are extremely helpful. The app itself doesn't require consistent attention outside of that as long as you have your flows set up correctly.

Pros

I love the ease of use, the extremely quick and efficient customer service, and how often they launch new products.

Cons

Integration of some of their new features was not possible without hiring a developer on our end. Since we don't have a developer in-house this was an additional cost to us that we didn't forsee. I was not impressed with the email platform in comparison to Klaviyo which we've used for 10+ years.

Attentive offered the best free trial when we reviews our sms marketing options. They offer great hands-on onboarding, their implementation is very helpful. They actually create the pop up forms and walked us through the entire process. The user interface is very easy to use on desktop.

Pros

We have been using Gorgias to centralize all our social media, customer service and email communications and the fact that Attentive offers a full integrations with Gorgias was the deciding factor for us when we reviews SMS marketing options.

Cons

The user interface in the mobile version could be improved.

### "Love Attentive!"

Pros

It's so easy to split test messages, unlike our previous provider. They also have a weekly call with us where we discuss best practices, improvements we can make, or integrations we may want to use. They care a lot about our success and keeping us as customers.

Cons

Currently, a lot of their features are available for shopify, but not our current shopping cart (salesforce). There's a salesforce email integration, but not a cart integration yet — hopefully this is on the horizon so we can unlock more features.

I really love this product but as a one person marketing operation for a whole company I am struggling to use this product everyday after holiday season.

Pros

I love the format for sending text messages with the Link shortening and the layout they provide that looks like an actual message helps me visualize

Cons

Setting up the campaigns when I was getting started was a bit confusing for the sign up marketing box on the website.

Pros

Easy to use and gave our team all of the data to be able to send SMS marketing messages and successfully segment to the right audience and track KPIs that were important to us.

No real downside to Attentive other than it being more expensive compared to some of their competitors.

We are an agency with several clients who have either never used SMS or are using a different SMS platform. Many have switched over or started with Attentive and have been blown away by the results from SMS. So thank you Attentive for making our jobs easier!

Pros

Attentive lives up to its name by providing outstanding service & support for every type of user - novice to expert. We love all the new features that keep coming out. We love the peace of mind that we get knowing that all our clients are fully compliant from the start. Attentive is very customer-centric and will go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied.

Cons

If you are on Shopify, the integration is super simple and easy... like they were made for each other. If you are on Magento or WooCommerce, you will need a few extra steps on the Magento and WooCommerce side. This isn't always simple if you are not well-versed with those platforms.

Overall, Attentive is an A+ company. They have, and continuously release, great features, have amazing customer service, and offer a premium product product with a friendly UI.

Pros

Attentive has a user-friendly interface that allows a user to get familiar with the application quickly to deploy SMS marketing campaigns. I also appreciate Attentive's steadfast dedication to deploying advanced new features, as well as their welcoming approach to addressing customer feedback.

Cons

I believe Attentive is weakest is their reporting - I would like to be able to slice-and-dice data more thoroughly to really be able to get granular insights. I would also appreciate if they would fix a bug with their message notifications - it constantly shows more notifications than you have.

I can trust that we are using the platform that ensures the best deliverability and focus my time on SMS strategy and execution.

Pros

The SMS industry is nascent so it is important to find a partner that helps navigate regulatory challenges to a successful SMS strategy. Attentive makes it so I don't even have to question whether or not we are using best practices.

Cons

It gets expensive fast at 1 cent per message, but so far it has always been worth it to send out a campaign.

Pros

We have tailored our customer journey to our needs and have been able to build segments for more effective targeted marketing.

Cons

I would prefer a bit more hands-on help with implementation of new ideas, rather than a how-to from the white glove team on how to make something a reality. Even just an upsell option like "we can go ahead and implement this for $x more"

Pros

We have been using Attentive for over a year and could not be happier with the results. The team made the set up incredibly easy and have been with us each step of the way with best practices and helping us with new campaigns / auto capture and we have seen substantial growth in our marketing lists. In addition, their University series are incredible and we have learned so much from amazing influencers in the industry. I truly do not have enough great things to say about Attentive and I have recommended it to many of my colleagues in Marketing.

Cons

The only thing that is a bit difficult is making edits to your main campaigns. It's super easy to set up new campaigns but our standard capture campaigns must have assistance to make changes.

Overall, our experience with Attentive has been excellent. Our success manager has been very helpful and as I mentioned before, their features are very useful.

Pros

This software is extremely intuitive and easy to use. We use it on a daily basis as we work on the Journeys and one time messages very often. The response we have had from our customers has been great, and we are working to make our program more robust.

Cons

I don't feel there are any features missing. Everything we need, Attentive has available and they keep adding more features often.

The biggest reason we chose Attentive was because they have MMS and Klaviyo does not.

Pros

Without a doubt, one of the best parts about Attentive is its customer service. They are they for you in every way possible. Additionally, the platform itself is SO easy to use! Anyone can jump right in and start creating SMS deployments with ease.

Cons

While very feature-rich, there are still things missing. For example, the platform needs more flexibility in its ability to create automations. It could also use more personalization features. The good thing is all of this is on their roadmap for the future.

As a marketer I've worked with many platforms, agencies, and reps. I can hands down say my experience with Attentive has been the best exchange. Their team is on it. The tool is the best SMS service out there. And they are genuinely enjoyable + quick to work with.

Pros

Easy to use on the back end, appreciate the legal support & features for added security, and the team is just SO on it. One might say they are... attentive.

Cons

Would love integration with Klayvio for better segmentation across these two platforms w/ journeys & workflows.

Reason for choosing Attentive

Other products were not user friends that I've used in the past. Have crazy limitations with segmentation, legalities, creative, and the backend was a disaster.
