No hardware or networking needed and therefore no expensive assets to maintain. Over the last 3 years we have been able to grow when needed and finance appreciates a monthly fee. Leaping into new software features for us has given us a competitive advantage over much larger companies. Pros Fast development, great built-in features, not a lot of coding needed, supports all of our ERP needs. Easy report generation. Knowledgeable support resources. Allowances for larger applications. Quick publishing, can be done while users are on the system - thus no down time. User security roles down to the field/column level. Group security available. Living in Google land allows our users to adapt to in-house applications quickly as the look and feel is very familiar. No hardware, networking needed. Pay for what you need, grow when you need it. APi integration. Cons At this time we do not have any - with all the new features and functions released every few months so far we are able to do what we need - and more! ParaSQL allowed us to move our MS Access vehicle maintenance app from one desktop in the office to the cloud so that every mechanics has access to all our information from their mobile device and in shop. We are planning to expand our usage of the platform to include driver scheduling and integration with out telematics solution via RESTful API calls. Pros This has been a perfect MS Access replacement that allows for desktop and mobile access to our data from the cloud. The interface is clean an efficient. In addition to the WYSIWYG design interface, it is extremely helpful to have Javascript and MySQL DB triggers/stored procedures available for some of the heavier lifting. Cons When we first started using the product in late 2016 there were some features not yet available (button event handlers, report double click handlers). Nothing off-the-shelf met our exact needs. We considered building a traditional system ourselves from the ground up, but were happy to find ParaSQL to build / maintain the systems instead. (We actually tried one other similar tool first but it was too limiting in its functionality). It's allowed us to create a more robust system considerably faster. I highly recommend the offering for anyone who understands relational databases and is looking for an alternative to traditional development. Pros ParaSQL makes a lot of the more labor-intensive aspects of developing a relational database-driven application considerably easier. Cons Creating a nice-looking UI isn't as easy as it could be. For example, if you want to line up input fields on the screen, you need to "eye-ball" it. There's no alignment feature. (at least not that I've found). Response from Vendor November 22, 2018 Thank you for the review. ParaSQL has an alignment grid to align objects and snaps the objects to the grid. The grid size is specified under File > App Settings (default is 5px which is too small for many). Also, in the next version of our software, due out Dec 2018, we will be adding menu options Arrange > Align > Top / Bottom / Left / Right to make alignment of multiple selected objects easier. Parasql is a remarkable solution for a multitude of business problems and challenges. In 15 years of business i have never found a solution as complete as adaptable as this. I cannot speak highly enough about Customer support and his team. I would highly recommend ParaSQL Pros Parasql is amazing. We have built multiple cloud based applications that integrate with our ecommerce platform API. These include our WMS / Pick and ship app which handles over 100,000 orders per year, purchase order app that maintains stock levels and assess demand on over 20,000 SKUs across 50+ vendors, bill of materials app for our manufacturing division, front end catalog merchandising app for our sites to market the right products to the right customers, and many others. The thing makes ParaSQL special is that you can build solutions that are tailored to your specific business needs, for a fraction of the cost of paying licencing and implementation on out of the box solutions. ParaSQL applications have automated processes that were handled in spreadsheets, saved me a ton on payroll, and eliminated human error in business critical processes. It is an affordable, powerful application platform. It is a game changer for anyone that applies it to their business. Cons I have had no issues with the platform, or the applications that we have built. The level of support has been outstanding.
