Pros Their platform is SUPER easy to use. Pretty easy to set up and keep things going. Randomly you'll have issues getting stars to show on your ads and such, that part gets a bit vague with them. Cons Their platform was much more limited than Yotpo or Trustpilot...they pretty much ghosted me and were gonna charge me the annual couple thousand bucks when we wanted to make a switch too. President Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great Tool For Boosting Ecommerce Websites" June 28, 2020 4.0 At our marketing agency we recommend ShopperApproved merchant reviews to all our clients. While there are some other options on the market that have pros and cons, we like the inexpensive and well thought out merchant review system from ShopperApproved. We do not typically recommend product reviews, as we prefer to retain those in whatever ecommerce CMS we're using, and we do not have an opinion about their local reviews offering (none of our clients are local businesses). We find that the ShopperApproved rating badges and javascript snippets showing recent reviews are very beneficial to conversions. We also find that when ShopperApproved merchant reviews are syndicated to Google Ads, they have a positive effect on ad performance. We like the way the survey content and timing can be customized, and we love the ease of install too - just one JS snippet on the order confirmation page is enough to start collecting merchant reviews. If we have any complaints, it's that pricing is not consistent. Many of our clients have reached out to ShopperApproved and received vastly different price quotes. Also, the user interface for the service is dated and clunky. It's not at all unusable, however, just a little confusing. Still, these are minor issues. While each of these services has positives over ShopperApproved, we find that they're all either a) much more expensive or b) not syndicating reviews to Google Ads, at least at the lower pricing levels. For many of our clients, we provide a reviews system as part of our package. In that situation, we always provide ShopperApproved, as it is the best value. We have also trialed Google Merchant Reviews. While you can't beat the price, the marketing benefits are limited. What's more, it can take a very long time to obtain a rating. The video testimonials are easy, customization of messaging, ease of use in contact a customer should their review warrant it. Shopper Approved support is also fantastic. My contact, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], answers my questions/helps me with issues at lightning fast speed! Pros Shopper Approved is easy to use and makes sorting through lots of reviews that come in throughout a day a breeze. The customer resolution feature is also very nice in that one does not have to contact the customer outside of SA, all the information needed is right there. Cons The dashboard is a bit old feeling and could be updated/modernized to make for even easier UX. I've been told this is on the to do list for Shopper Approved so I am not worried about the timing. Looking forward to the new interface! Customers can see we are here and engaged either way. Cons Sometimes I don't hear back from customer service when I send a email. So I'm not sure if they worked on a particular issue. And the survey questions themselves prompt high quality responses that are very useful for business insights. In addition, the Survey Destinations feature has been really successful at getting our reviews spread around most of the other major review sites. Cons The product reviews feature is average, as far the number of reviews it generates. We are also able to have past reviews on full display on our site as well, which can help to generate new sales. Cons We have experienced some technical glitches in the past, but customer support has always been able to resolve these issues for us. It was a bit of a growing pain going from our reviews to a third-party site, but it's working splendidly and gaining reviews everyday. A fair price for a high value product. Pros The reviews are important, as it's organic content from our customers. It helps for others interested in the product to be able to read that. It engages others in the process on their path to purchase. It's critical for us, as it can increase the likelihood of a sale. The ease of use is one of my favorite features and the support is good once you pin point what the issue you may be experiencing are. The entire team will step-up to fix whatever your working through. Cons Implementation was initially good and then it wasn't working. The time to fix it was less than desirable. However, they fixed it as soon as we found out what the root cause of the issue was. So not much of a con, but worth noting. Reason for choosing Shopper Approved It was recommended by our SI. We collected the 55k+ reviews and it's really valuable for our business. We can track and improve our customers' experience and find suggestions of how to develop our software or change our communication. This great amount of feedback also helps us to build trust to our brand as we put widgets on our site and ads pages. Pros I like the easiness of this tool. It's pretty simple for both customer and company. And I really enjoy the option to solve the issue with the customer privately so they can share their contact information without worrying. Quick way to build up a rating on Google. Cons Content, content, content. Again - ShopperApproved is great at collecting star ratings. But as Google moves to giving more weight to "testimonial" reviews over a 3 word response - we've noticed ShopperApproved reviews not being displayed on our Google Merchant Profile. We got assigned one customer service rep who stayed with us through the end of the process and responded quickly to each question along the way with excellent to the point answers that were easy to understand. Pros Getting started with Shopper Approved completely revitalized our review platform at a critical time for our e-commerce business. The amount of reviews we received increased significantly and this has made a big difference in our organic traffic as well as helped with acquiring new customers.
