It’s simple to add to websites and works smoothly to get customer feedback at different times. The dashboard is easy to use and provides helpful data to see how things are going. Plus, it helps get your reviews seen on search engines, bringing in more visitors and boosting sales. Cons So far I have not had any negative things regarding the software. The Q&A service provides a great tool for our customers to ask questions and our responses stay on the page (helping future customers) and building valuable SEO keywords. Pros The integration was very easy although we our website is somewhat custom built, Shopper Approved's implementation team took care of everything from coding to styling. We had multiple styling change request and they had no problem working with us until we made it perfect. They did such a great job with the review management (seller rating and product reviews) service that we expanded and subscribed to the Q&A feature as well and could not be happier with the results. Cons It would be nice if customers could filter reviews on a product page. Director of ECommerce Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "All Around Satisfaction" June 29, 2023 5.0 Shopper Approved has really expanded their offerings and ability to use the review information they collect from consumers to help link this to other review sites so that the consumer gets the full picture of a company and doesn't just see the people that wanted to take the time to leave bad reviews. Pros The features that are most beneficial to us are the review syndication, product reviews and SEO optimization of product Q&A. As an online retailer we know that the only people that take the time to leave a review about your company on a site that they're not asked to do so are the customers that are angry or had a bad experience. SA allows us to us our great reviews in their system on other systems as well to be able to give an overall customer experience. Product reviews are great for ECommerce so customers know about the product itself and see it first on Google which brings them to us instead of another supplier. Q&A being SEO optimized is very important because it helps us to bring in the free traffic on search engines that may be looking for something we sell just because they asked Google a question in general. Cons One thing that I would really like to adjust in SA is the cart integration and review request timeline after they place their order. You are forced to choose from a day time range after the order is placed and I would really like to be able to select for the full review request to be sent within a certain number of days after the order is moved to shipped status instead. Pros Easy to implement with Shopify. Most customers are happy to provide feedback and we are able to use that feedback to make improvements in customer services, processes, website in near realtime. Cons I don't like adding extra steps for customers at checkout, but the feedback is so critical and valuable that the benefits way outweigh the exceptional few (customers who really don't like that you asked them for feedback). 99.9% do not react negatively to being asked for feedback and we take the feedback gathered very seriously and it is a huge net benefit to both our customers and our organization. Customers have even mentioned that they purchased from us because of the positive reviews. Pros Shopper Approved helps us collect reviews directly on our site. We are also able to have past reviews on full display on our site as well, which can help to generate new sales. Cons We have experienced some technical glitches in the past, but customer support has always been able to resolve these issues for us. Reason for choosing Shopper Approved We like the ability to be able to closely manage and monitor our reviews, plus Shopper Approved is a Google partner, meaning our reviews carry weight in Google searches. Pros Shoppers expect to see both company and product reviews. We get plenty of initial company reviews. After 2 months, our customers are asked to review the product. Some of them do and this is quite helpful. Cons I wish the request to review the product would make it to an inbox in the primary folders, but I suspect they go into a less visible area such as updates. This is unavoidable. What I do not like is the ability to veto 5 reviews per year. We only have received 1-star reviews from people who have not actually purchased the product and have an ax to grind or who didn't understand something about a discount. Just recently happened with a customer who thought she should get $5 off her order, but it was PayPal who gave her that reward for using PayPal. We had to contact our agent, who did manage to remove the review at the request of the customer. Other reviews - like "this is a scam" were from non-customers - possibly competitors but more likely just generally troublesome complainers who have no idea what they are talking about. So - I would like the 5 vetoes to get rid of those bogus reviews. It doesn't happen often, but it's awful to have these on our site. Review Source CH Christian H. Customer Care & Corporate Sales Mgr. It was a bit of a growing pain going from our reviews to a third-party site, but it's working splendidly and gaining reviews everyday. A fair price for a high value product. Pros The reviews are important, as it's organic content from our customers. It helps for others interested in the product to be able to read that. It engages others in the process on their path to purchase. It's critical for us, as it can increase the likelihood of a sale. The ease of use is one of my favorite features and the support is good once you pin point what the issue you may be experiencing are. The entire team will step-up to fix whatever your working through. Cons Implementation was initially good and then it wasn't working. The time to fix it was less than desirable. However, they fixed it as soon as we found out what the root cause of the issue was. So not much of a con, but worth noting. Reason for choosing Shopper Approved It was recommended by our SI. I am also able to find patterns to try to avoid any future issues with customer interactions Pros It gives us the opportunity to track and filter the reviews based on the customer needs. Their star rating and filters allow us to take action and see if we need to make any adjustment to our company, website and customer service interaction. Cons A lot of our negative reviews are given by user (Customer) error and we are negatively reviewed from their mistakes. I would also say that when it comes to the service, their is little communication to let us know what actions are taken from the Shopper Approved customer service after we request to have a review taken down. We collected the 55k+ reviews and it's really valuable for our business. We can track and improve our customers' experience and find suggestions of how to develop our software or change our communication. This great amount of feedback also helps us to build trust to our brand as we put widgets on our site and ads pages. Pros I like the easiness of this tool. It's pretty simple for both customer and company. And I really enjoy the option to solve the issue with the customer privately so they can share their contact information without worrying. We also like that their code makes it easy to display reviews on our site. Customers use it and it gives us great feedback and social proof to help conversion rates. Pros Shopper Approved has been integral in helping us gain more reviews from our customers. Our customers love to share their experience and this platform makes it super easy for them to do this. We also love how the reviews are sent to us several times per day and it give us timely feedback to see if our website is having issues, or other things that may need to be addressed. Bottom line, it give our customers a voice and we listen which means we all win! Cons The video reviews seems like they don't function as well as desired. Very few people complete. Shopper Approved gave us all the features we needed, with integrity and great service. There isn't a better online review system on the internet. Pros What we like most about Shopper Approved, is their consistency. Too many review services up their prices once you're hooked in, then hold those reviews over your head in a old school mafia protection play. Shopper Approved has had the same pricing since we started. Their integrity is what we like most. It doesn't hurt that it works great and is easy to use. And the survey questions themselves prompt high quality responses that are very useful for business insights. In addition, the Survey Destinations feature has been really successful at getting our reviews spread around most of the other major review sites. Cons The product reviews feature is average, as far the number of reviews it generates. It's also a well known review software so many customers have heard of the company which helps validate the reviews. Cons I didn't like the full year having to be paid upfront. Currently they made an exception and allowed a quarterly plan for me. Starting out, it was a bit of a turn off to have to pay the full year up front. Reason for choosing Shopper Approved Trust Pilot was much pricier. Since choosing shopperapproved I have been turned off by their aggressive strategy to try and get retailers to register on their platform as well as utilizing our business name to benefit their search standings. We recommend Shopper Approved to our clients, and work directly with SA on integration and directly with clients on using the service. Our clients have witnessed tangible results and experienced very positive outcomes. Pros The product support is very good - speak to a live person who speaks clearly. The setup, website integration and training are very good. The dashboard is very user friendly. The platform is feature rich with the ability to engage customers, obtain more reviews and better testimonial content. Additionally, you have the ability to share reviews via social and video platforms. An added benefit, through some technical enhancements, is that these reviews can boost website optimization and get star ratings to show on Google. Ads Cons We have not encountered any particular negatives. If anything, which is also common to most any competing service, is being able to share reviews across citation sites to boost local SEO.
