Pros

  • Tons of great features that just make sense for a workplace app, and the best of all is that the app keeps improving month after month in our use - the team is working hard on bringing new features.

  • Probably, the most intuitive and easy to use chat for teams, valuing collaboration and effective communication. I am huge fan of tasks features - it really helps to organize workflow and save time.

  • We use it for internal communication. Love how easy it is and feel very comfortable chatting there.

  • I love that they've added tasks and the ability to manage a team space. Btw, the Facebook community is so much fun.

Cons

  • Lack of features, integrations, terrible company behind it.

  • Lack of Status Messages: "AFK" "On Lunch" "In a Meeting" "QA Testing Project 1.

  • I completely stopped using all other messaging tools since picking up Chanty.

  • Lack of custom emojis and advanced customization.

"Simple Team Chat Product"

Overall: If what you're looking for is an easy-to-use communication tool that your team can adapt to quickly, Chanty is a pretty good choice. It really helps you save time. We also love the content that Chanty offers for its users. It's pretty easy to communicate with the Chanty team.

Pros: It's really easy to set up Chanty and the interface is really simple and easy to use. Especially the feature of the message search is incredible. Also, it is much cheaper than other team communication tools. It was very significant for us that our team could adapt quickly to this communication tool. We used Slack before Chanty and we didn't want our communication processes to be interrupted when we switched to a new tool. The easy-to-use interface is the biggest pros for us.

Cons: Not much cons. Actually, since it is a team communication tool, it is not sufficient for project management.

"A simple and efficient tool for team communication"

Overall: Overall, Chanty has been a great addition to our team’s toolkit. It’s made our internal comms and collaboration much more efficient, and the benefits far outweigh the few minor drawbacks. I like my experience so far and look forward to seeing how the platform continues to grow.

Pros: Chanty was easy for our team to adopt thanks to its user-friendly interface and available integrations, allowing our workflows to remain the same. It offers high-quality group or 1-on-1 video calls and voice messages, making communication much more efficient. The task manager within the app allows us to turn messages into tasks and assign them to multiple employees, which is really helpful. One feature we particularly appreciate is the unlimited message history, even on the free plan, so we never have to worry about losing track of important conversations as we did with our previous messenger. Being able to customize channels to suit our specific needs has also helped us stay focused and productive. Also, the pricing is quite affordable.

Cons: Chanty offers integrations with various popular tools, the number is still growing, and I'd like to see more options in the future. Also, it lacks a built-in calendar, which would be quite helpful

"Use something else, anything else"

Overall: These folks seem very shady. They have a horrible 14-day return policy, which they enforce even on an annual subscription, meaning I can't get a partial refund even though we won't be using their software at all for the remaining 6 months of the subscription. Hundreds of dollars wasted. There's no way to cancel my account, the support phone number that appears on my invoice is disconnected, and I'm really concerned they're just going to automatically charge my card again in 6 more months. This company

Pros: It's cheaper than Slack. That's about it.

Cons: Lack of features, integrations, terrible company behind it.

Reasons for Choosing Chanty: Price. Should've just paid a little more, maybe I would've gotten a decent chat system.

Reasons for Switching to Chanty: Slack wanted too much ransom money just to let us see our chat history. Chanty seemed like a better idea at the time. I wish we had chosen some other option now.

Hi Troy, Thank you for the feedback. Like we mentioned, Chanty offers the 14-day return policy after every billing transaction to make sure our services work for your use case. As also mentioned in private communication before, your subscription for Chanty Business plan has been canceled. Your card will not be charged for the Chanty Services at the end of your billing cycle. You can continue using Chanty or request deleting your team space any time and erase all your data from Chanty. Finally, the contact phone is fully operational, you can schedule a call to make sure yourself. Thanks, Chanty Team

"Love Chanty"

Pros: We use chanty for work purposes and it suits most of our needs perfectly. It is simple to use and was easy to set up.

Cons: I would like videos to be shared more easily :)

Alternatives Considered: Slack
Reasons for Choosing Chanty: Chanty seemed a lot simpler and straight to the point, which it is and great for being that. Less is more.

"Best option for team communication"

Overall: We needed an advanced tool that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and offers good chat and call functionality, so Chanty was a perfect choice for us. We save approximately 30-40% of our software budget with it, and since our team is growing, this savings will grow too.

Pros: Chanty offers excellent features for team communication and collaboration. It has made sharing documents, making calls, and managing tasks much easier for us. Implementing and integrating Chanty required minimal effort, and it has now become an essential part of our tech ecosystem.

Cons: Not that much. I would prefer to have more advanced customization, but customer support told me they're working on that.
