May 14, 2019 5.0 Pros Double Time Docs has enabled me to complete thorough assessment reports in half the time I used to spend. I love being able to check boxes for skills and have Double Time turn it into a well-written narrative. Downloading into a word document allows for quick touch-ups for the final draft. Cons Although Double Time Docs has a comprehensive section for sensory processing reporting, I don't always use a standardized sensory tool and would like more general observation based checklist items. It still takes me forever. Pros I like that it has a school-based evaluation formatted around function/participation. Cons I've been doing this for awhile and it is a learning curve when you first start using it. I don't necessarily think the first few evaluations are quicker. Also, I have to proofread and there are some mistakes in grammar and sentence structure. No big deal but again takes awhile. Maybe I'm just not entering it in the boxes correctly. When you use the EASY-OT the fine motor section formats odd in the table for the end product as well (quick fix but for sure a glitch)... maybe that's just an old one many OTs do not use anymore. \*Idk Review Source SE Selin E. It has made writing an eval very quick and efficient. I feel like the end result is very professionally written and it is easy to read. It has also triggers me to evaluate areas I might have missed. Pros That it is so easy to use and it addresses a lot of areas. Sometimes it remind me to check something that I have not addressed when evaluating a child. Cons Occasionally there are errors so I have to double check/proofread at the end. For example the BOT interpretations were incorrect for some areas. Review Source CB Carolyn B. Pros This software is clear and easy to use. It has relevant sections that address all aspects of therapy. You can pick ad choose items relating to each individual evaluation you write making it not a " cookie cutter" report but individualized. It also has well written explanations of eduactional OT services and determination of services. Cons It would be great if the software had short explanations of subtests within testing info. Separation of OT and PT reports may cut down on the amount of scrolling you have to do when constructing reports. Review Source April G. October 2, 2019 5.0 Coming from an outpatient background, this program has significantly improved my school evaluations! I feel much more confident in my evaluations and their thourougheness! Pros Super easy to utilize and edit! I also love that it saves to a word document so you can further customize anything you want! I am able to write a comprehensive report in less time and my reports appear more uniform. Love, love, love Double TIme Docs. Thank you!! Pros Wow-I used this software to write an evaluation on a current student. It took 15 minutes to go through the checklists and answer questions. I was able to save and preview a full report in 15 minutes! I cannot believe the time I saved writing a comprehensive evaluation report. I was able to edit a couple of items once I downloaded the document to Word. Cons I have not experienced something I do not like about this software yet. It has been a time saver for me. It will save time writing reports when I become more familiar with the questions on the document. Pros I liked the option of using some of the information. I also like the statement about services being decided at the CSE meeting. The format was easy to understand and easy to scroll through items in didn't need. I liked how I could save in my documents and then edit as needed. Cons I need to add a letter head to the final report and I am not sure how or if I can do this. Pros The software does offer some nice features and haas the potential to decrease the amount of time you spend composing an evaluation. Cons The software is missing a few crucial areas that need to be addressed in an evaluation such as ROM, strength, in-hand manipulation skills,and bilateral hand use. This will alleviate significant amount of stress for me and likely produce more grammatically correct and better worded reports in a much shorter period of time.r Pros The thoroughness of the content. The ability to add comments and tables once the document is downloaded and saved makes for a very individualized report. The fact that is a web-based program makes it even easier to use anywhere. It also will help me to write reports in more a more efficient manner. Pros It is very thorough in that it covers a wide range of areas that are addressed in school-based services. November 12, 2019 5.0 So far, using Double Time Docs has made writing evaluation reports much more enjoyable. Pros The software made it very easy to complete a difficult eval for a student. I appreciated the layout of the forms and the amount of information the forms prompted me to enter. It was nice to have the prompts to remind me of things that could be included in the evaluation. Cons It would be really nice if there was an option to generate a yearly IEP report that wasn't an eval. I did use this to generate an IEP report, and just edited the downloaded document to make it fit more with with an IEP report as opposed to an Eval report. Cons You have to read through the evaluation with a fine tooth comb to make sure that everything flows correctly. Two assessments that I use and I did not see listed are the DAYC-2 and The REAL. Pros Easy fill in sections to create a informative report for IEP. Cons Many questions and parts that had to be filled in that was not necessarily applicable for every student's report. They extended my time to trial the software which was very useful. Pros Simple and smart! Checking off boxes is super simple and the work saves immediately into the document. It allowed me to plan my eval very quickly and double check areas I may have missed. It also helped me to navigate wording I would have otherwise spent far too much time on. Cons The end result evaluation was not what I needed or my style of writing. I would like more fonts available and templates for set-up so it mirrors slightly more to what I would typically use..
