Pros The product was easy to use and I was easily able to fine 95% of the forms I was searching for. Cons Too many questions at the end, once you have filed with CRA. Hard to get quickly back to what you are doing with another return. I will keep telling others about it because for me it just want I need each year to make sure that I get my taxes done right. I have tried a few other software but not may can do better than turbo Tax business. Cons I thing that it should run free for the first 2 weeks of the tax season. I always was afraid I would get audited because I made a mistake. Low and behold my accountant made mistakes and I still got audited. After trying my hand at TurboTax I cut expenses massively by dumping the accountant and doing TurboTax. Pros I love that TurboTax helps me easily categorize all my business expenses so that I can itemize them and maximize my deductions. Cons Less a complaint with TurboTax and more with taxes in general, it is extremely tedious and time-consuming, but at least with TurboTax they help make sure I don't miss anything! Pros Very user friendly and intuitive to use, it makes filing your taxes easy and even a child can use their software. Tons of features available for different tax situations. Cons Expect to pay up. TurboTax is more expensive than all its competitors. Sometimes there are inaccuracies with taxes and if you file early, you will have to file an amended return. More guided options should be available (I.E. do you want to look at all or some options) when entering the information. The way it can automatically import tax forms and w2s is also wonderful. Our house hold has a w2 employee and two self-employed people and it handles all of our revenue, expenses, schedule Ks, schedule 1099s, and more with ease Cons If you want to stop and come back it makes you go back over SSOOOOO many things again and again. To ensure an easy filing, have everything ready to go. Sometimes we like to enter in as much as we can and then finish up a few weeks later when all the forms come in (schedule Ks can take a while). To go back in to enter new information, it forces us to answer the same questions again that we've already answered. Annoying, but not a deal-breaker. Review Source Anne M. I didn't know how to do taxes nor did I have the time to go and get it done from a professional. Having said that, I was also avoiding to pay the large fee the professionals charge and decided to try TurboTax business. Wouldn't lie it was confusing at first but the portal is so easy to use and self explantory that I was able to do my taxes on my own. The constant hints, suggestions on the site really help and guide you to state your business expense clearly and save on taxes. I love the live chat feature which I used to talk to a professional without having to get out of my house. The professional was so helpful and helped me save on taxes and get a good refund!!! Honestly, love it so much and will continue using Turbo Tax for my personal as well as business tax filing. Love that they provide you a tax return copy in the end for your reference and the payment method and payment process is super easy. 10/10 recommend Cons Dislike nothing! Everything is explained step by step. Honestly feel like an accountant after doing my own taxes. Couldn't be an easier. I would say though- There should be a turbo tax phone app- not sure if they already have one. Pros I used TurboTax for small biz for my 2021 taxes and was really happy with the improvements they made from 2020. It was always a pretty easy software to use, but this year's version made the process of filing more clear and easier to understand - especially when it came to claims I could make and explanations about special situations. The step-by-step process is also laid out more clearly and is more enjoyable to use. I felt A LOT more confident about filing my taxes this year. Cons There are times when they push various add-ons that you don't need and try to upsell you on different services or products. It's a little hard to tell if you really need to purchase some of it or not, and I didn't appreciate the ambiguity. A bit more honesty or clarity to guide my decisions would have been helpful. Cons I always hate putting in my essential info like social security number but it is a necessary thing. It has all of the forms for every kind of employee and business tax situation including obscure ones like business tangible and Meals Tax in Arlington county. The Audit defense is very helpful if you are worried you made an error while filing (Peace of mind!) Cons There have never been any issues using this software for us, the customer service is top notch and always able to help when we don't understand a feature or have a question. Cons The problem comes if you stray beyond the standard return. In my last tax year, I got married to someone who does not have a social security number ... immediately, e-filing goes out the window.
