Our overall experience has been very positive. Service requests and follow-up calls have dropped, Tarion claim forms are down by nearly 50% in communities using the portal, and homeowners are more satisfied thanks to faster and clearer communication. We are now able to consistently respond to homeowners in under two business days, which has been a noticeable improvement for both our team and our buyers. The system has given us transparency, saved significant staff time, and strengthened trust with our homeowners. CustomerInsight adds another layer by surfacing feedback that we can act on right away, which has made us more responsive and proactive. Overall, Constellation has helped us deliver a better homeowner experience while improving our internal efficiency.

Pros

Homeowner Central has completely streamlined how we manage service requests, documents, and homeowner communication. Everything is now in one place, which has reduced duplicated work and cut down on service calls. Our coordinators save over 100 hours each month thanks to the automated data flow into NEWSTAR (Constellation construction management solution), and response times are consistently under two business days. CustomerInsight survey tool has also been valuable for capturing feedback at critical stages like the 30-day mark, helping us spot issues early and make improvements that directly benefit homeowners.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve at the start for both staff and homeowners when adopting the portal. It requires some upfront training and support, but once people get used to it, adoption is strong, and the benefits outweigh the initial effort.

My overall experience with Constellation Homebuilder Systems has been great. We've been with them for many years and they've been awesome to work with.

Pros

1\. The system is easy to navigate. 2. The company does a great job with collaboration when I've had ideas for enhancements. 3. From an accounting perspective, the functionality within the system is very thorough and efficient.

Cons

There really isn't anything too note worthy, I would say the user experience can sometimes be a challenge. Some screens we work within don't allow for full screen display which would make things easier for us.

Pros

Colen Built has utilized NEWSTAR’s suite of software implementations to streamline processes, better understand and respond to their customers, and modernize operations. Constellation offers a wide-range of products that helps manage the end-to-end operations of a homebuilder. The implementation of NEWSTAR is well organized, and other integrations can be setup with ease.

Cons

Some user interfaces are dated, although the functionality is more important to us than the UI. The expansive NEWSTAR system can take time to learn for new employees.

Good overall but needed software that would work with other accounting software like quickbooks online.

Pros

Purchase orders and the ability to build mateials list specific to vendors. Each Vendor had a pricing file and you could bring up a mateial list and change the vendor to see what their overall pricing would be.

Cons

Not very flexible. Especially with accounting.
