The training was very informative and I am excited to use it for the next tax year. Pros Best Feature is that it is a cloud based software at a very reasonable price compared to my previous software that was not cloud based. Cons No cons yet. Still getting used to using it. February 21, 2023 1.0 I'm so frustrated that I'm considering switching back to Drake mid year this year! Pros The instant form view is wonderful. I will miss it! Cons Having come from Drake Software, this has been a horrible experience! I have to manually check every return for accuracy because the software can't be trusted to be accurate. I spent several hours yesterday on the phone with customer support because of issues with the software not working accurately. Today I am spending hours entering Form 8949 details into an 1120S return because they have not and are not willing to fix the software so that a pdf attachment can be sent. I bought 3 years of this software, this is my second year and I'm probably not going to use the 3rd year that I paid for! I'll bet this review doesn't make it onto their web site! August 11, 2021 1.0 We had problems with the Kentucky returns in 2019 and were told everything was resolved and those problems would not reoccur in 2020. Total lie. This program is a complete HEADACHE for Kentucky tax preparers. Pros We had no problems when it came to preparing the federal programs. Cons NO SUPPORT!!! TOTALLY IGNORE PROBLEMS WITH KENTUCKY RETURNS Here is verbiage from latest email that was sent this morning: Robert Jones You totally ignored all the problems that were relayed to you last season regarding the Kentucky tax returns. You would not answer my calls, emails, chats, or let voice messages. Today is the time that broke the camel's back!!!! I will be contacting the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet and the Kentucky Attorney General's Office today to file an official complaint against mytaxprepoffice in hopes of them NOT approving your program for 2021 tax preparation. Those Kentucky returns that we had problems with, and you were notified about time and time again, are now coming back with errors because once originally transmitted all information listed on Schedule M failed to go through. This is causing clients to get letters from Kentucky that they owe taxes. We now have to amend those screwed up transmitted return to show what was actually prepared corrected. Spent a little over 2 hours going over in detail the functions of the tax software and administrative features. Made sure my company information was set up properly. Very friendly and professional. As all the employees I have interacted with so far. Very impressed with the initial contacts with the company and the thoroughness of the training and other subjects after puchase.
