It's all I use for my content creation at the moment. Pros I was looking for an editor for TikTok videos and Kapwing was the only one that felt like a plug and play tool. Sure, you have to now how to use it, but it's really simple! I don't care to use anything else especially for subtitles. They friggin' auto-generate them! You can adjust it and all. Especially on TikTok with motivational content, that makes a huge difference instead of looking sloppy like everyone else. Get Kapwing and make it happen! I am not one to write bad reviews, but their disregard for customer service just left a bad impression. Pros They have a few cool features for creating social media content. I Enjoyed there smart cut feature. Cons Very glitchy. Oftentimes, when you export the elements, will move around the screen. Even after reviewing and editing. It's not good for videos over 5 minutes; anything longer, moves too slowly. Also, I was a few hours late before the cancellation. They would not provide a refund or take responsibility for their glitchy software. This is even after I have donated 1 hour of a live video interview to give their company feedback on their software. Pros As a user, I'd like to thank Kapwing for providing many of their tools free of charge. In the past I needed to pay to get watermark-free downloads. It has become free recently. The tools are classified into tasks that people commonly need to fix their videos, e.g, video crop, resize, looping and so on. The tools are very easy to use and intuitive. I searched around online and came across it, and it was a life saver. Pros Being able to simply sign in with your Google account (not necessary but essential if you want access to your work/drafts later in one place), the UI being simple and clear to understand: making it easy to trim videos, and create quick and simple instructional videos for social media, and best of all, being able to paste a Youtube video link and work on it within Kapwing is what I love most. Cons Since I use the software to make quick video edits on my phone/tablet-on-the-go. Thank you so much!! Pros Unlike other free online video software that I've used, I was able to cut material in the middle of the video and not just at either end. I also love the up and down arrow function to indicate the exact moment in the video to make an edit. It allows me to be very accurate. Cons Once I clicked "done" after editing and watched the video, I wanted to make a couple changes. But it took me a long time to figure out how to get back to the editing page. After trying several buttons, I realized I needed to go to "trimmed" under the "video" title. It also might be helpful to put a title over a button when your mouse hovers over it. I'm not sure what "expand padding" means or what some of the picture icons do. If there's a one or two word explanation that pops up, that would be helpful. Also, the YouTube to Mp3 converter that your website links to sometimes opens up a pornography webpage. Review Source Amy M. Without this softwear, I would have really struggled to provide subtitles on lectures I'd recorded without a fully pre-written script. Pros I only used to subtitling functions. The auto generation of subtitles was excellent. While it did need correcting (although it got mendelian randomization right first try), having each phrase already set up with timestamps and just having to adjust the exact words saved me so much time. It took me minutes to sort my subtitles for a 20 minute lecture, rather than hours. Cons It would have been useful to be able to download the subtitles in more formats - moodle only accepts vtt, and this only exports srt so I had to transform all the files. The functionality of this product is the absolute worst..." May 25, 2020 1.0 You might get the job done eventually, but it will be like pulling teeth 10x. Honestly the people who designed the piece of junk should be ashamed that they charge for it. I'm not making this up. Do not pay these people any money! There are so many other video apps out there. Please do yourself a favor and stay clear. Pros It's pretty simple to figure out how to use. After a few minutes of tinkering around with it you can pretty much figure out all that you need to know about how to make a video. Cons The functionality of the product is downright shameful. I've never used anything before so riddled with bugs and malfunctions. It's freezes every time. If you try to refresh the screen it makes you wait 10 min for it to reload. If you upload a new video it actually corrupts some of the other videos that have already been uploaded. It actually gets more buggy the more you use it. If you upload audio in it it never plays correctly and constantly plays scratched videos out of sync. Due to the horrible functionality of the product it took me most of Saturday and ALL DAY Sunday to finish a project that really shouldn't have taken longer then 30 min. This is the most frustrating piece of junk I've ever used. They should give me my money back. I tried using their product, it would not load my videos, when it finally did the caption service did not work. I canceled within 2 hours and asked for a refund. I was denied one (this is illegal). i did not care about the 27 dollars, as a matter of fact I even offered to donate $100 toa. charity of their choice and send a receipt, but they never answered. I am writing this review not because of the $27 but because their product failed and they refused to take ownership and give me a refund. This is terrible CS and user experience.
