Cons After working all night on a video, it disappeared. I contacted support and have not received a response (48 hrs later). All the work you do through this app is dependent on your internet connection and THEIR internet connection. I tested mine, and it was perfect. Their connection often cuts out, and all YOUR work disappears. You'd think after saving each individual cut before continuing would be enough for it to exist somewhere where it can be retrieved by their workers, but nope. You're just screwed. You just stay up till 6am finishing editing to lose it all and have nothing. Then they ignore you when you ask for help. Talk about adding insult to injury! And this is for the paid service!!! Although I couldn't find any transitions but I don't need them for my videos, animations are enough. All I can say is, the platform is easy to use and convenient. Cons The platform provides very limited animations and no transitions. I don't know if the premium version offers such but the free version doesn't. Although, it's not as pristine and fancy as theirs. It does get the job done. Cons As I hinted at in the pros, Kapwing is not as seamless and fancy as iMovie and its other competitors. Pros What’s not to like. An online browser editor with user friendly controls, fun templates, and auto subtitles. It’s a helpful tool for beginning and experienced content creators. Cons Perhaps the timeline on the editor itself. I’m used to a horizontal timeline on most editors. Using Scenes to edit videos took me awhile to adapt, but only because I’ve been editing on other programs for so long. Cutting and splitting clips is also super simple and customer support is very responsive and quick. Cons The processing time can be really slow if there are multiple elements that have been added, it also slows down the computer a lot if trying to work on various programs while editing a video. The pandemic has caused a lot of us to get creative, and learn new ways of doing things and Kapwing allowed me to do this easily. I love any program/software that is easy to use and makes me look like I know what I am doing (even when I don't really). Pros The program was simple to use to speed up a video (the initial reason I went looking for video editing software), but also seems to have a lot of features that will be helpful. I've never used video editing software before now with the exception of the most basic window video editor, so I barely know what I am doing. Kapwing allowed me to not only accomplish what I needed but with a few features I didn't know I needed, it allowed me to create a video that looks really professional. I will come back to Kapwing to for all my future video editing needs. Cons There is a file size limit and other restrictions with the free account, which is understandable. Very happy with the simple design that is competitive with other professional output I'm seeing. Pros This is by far the most user friendly captioning interface I've ever encountered. I do a wide variety of projects that I always struggle through by the skin of my teeth or have to hire out for, and Kapwing allows me to knock them out quickly and without stress. Cons My goal was simple, purchasing an account for my teammate for her to use that same morning. This was not possible since the "add licence" option didn't work. After trying all possible ways to provide my teammate with an account, I canceled the subscription and went to a similar product from a competitor. Although this was a bug on their hand and I haven't used the video features at all, customer support didn't provide a refund. According to them, my expectations for a $20 refund are too high. I also like that it has apps for making videos and is suitable for amateur content creators. Cons Pricing is a bit steep and you have to pay to remove the watermark. The video editor site has helped me and it wasn't hard to use. Anyone can use this site to work on the videos they need to work on. Pros This video editor saved the day for me! I love how this editor website is so smooth. This site isn't difficult. I can upload my own videos or my own images to this video creation website. I needed a site just like this, so it could help me fix my writing and ministry work videos. This video editor didn't take long to work with. I can also put subtitles into the video editor. This was something that I needed help with. I needed to add subtitles to my videos. The subtitles were simple to add in and I am so happy it wasn't confusing. I also love how I can add audio to my video slides. I love how I can do my writing projects with more flow now and ability. Cons I dislike the black screen to work on. I wish the dashboard area was a different color. The color is okay, but a more light color would be nice. There should be another option on the main dashboard screen. The dark color is not appealing.
