Pros

This is the best booking software on the market. I highly recommend this product for booking, accounting, and managing your business. They have great customer service and are always available to help. Not to mention there online classes are great for teaching how to use the platform. It’s the apple of booking software.

Cons

Currently their app version for iPhone and android are not as sophisticated as their online platform.

Overall the experience has been outstanding. The team is always attentive & responsive. They come up with alternatives & suggestions to help improve your experience! The software is great as it can be easily accessible on multiple devices & internet!

Pros

Boulevard software is very user friendly, easy to use & convenient! It has reduced the duration of front desk trainig. It has also made the managers that are behind the chair, have a very enjoyable experience. I

Cons

Some of the items that seem like they should be easy to customize, are in face a little more. It makes sense when you realize that the interface is for all users and not just your specific location (s).

Shortcuts was outdated, slow & problematic. On Saturdays (the busiest day of the week), the server computer that would host all data, could potentially go down. You would then be stuck performing offline transactions & having to complete transactions twice!

It’s a new software so it’s expected but I think a lot of things could of been better over the years. Lots of new updates to keep current and trendy but with that comes a roller coaster of trial and error. With that being said old tech should be easy but isn’t.

Pros

Seamless booking appointments online for clients and in person.

Cons

Glitches … a new one every week! As a business owner you don’t have the time to make customer support tickets and figure out how to do workarounds more often than not. But I guess that’s how it is with these softwares.

Great experience. Switched from A major competitor, and we have not looked back. Everything is easier and they are willing to work with us.

Pros

The ease of using for our team. The intuitiveness of it, which results in less time having to train new employees. Allows for a better operational flow within the business.

Cons

Waiver forms to be utilized to be tied into the system. Example, Joe comes in, fills out a waiver, and all his information auto populates into his profile. Also, if there was an app or something for easier signing up for appointments for clients.

Pros

The layout and easy side menu make it straightforward to see my own bookings or get an overall view of the day, week, or month at the spa. The newly added access to documents and forms and the ability to update SOAP notes on the app is incredibly helpful and time saving.

Cons

I can’t think of any shortcomings of this app! I love that I can text the spa via the designated number to communicate with front desk, that all the paperwork I need to view is handy from the app now, and that I get text alerts with new booking information. Best scheduling app I’ve used so far

### "Boulevard is expensive, but worth it"

Boulevard is super-stable, slick, and easy to use as a POS ANDscheduling system. It saved us tons of hassles with Booker and Zenoti in terms of confusing interfaces and over-built functionality (Zenoti), and system instability/glitches (Booker). Boulevard's POS system and iPad app is also very slick and integrates very well with the software, which is more than we could say for Zenoti and Booker as well. Boulevard is expensive, but as a small business owner, time is money, and it saved us from a lot of headaches we were having with other scheduling/POS solutions.

Pros

Excellent UI and ease of use. Thorough onboarding and customer support. Feature-rich and well thought-out functionality for salon owners operating at any scale. Hardware and software is stable and reliable.

Cons

Boulevard is an excellent product, but you gotta pay for it!

Pros

The custom reporting allowed me to effectively look at areas we needed to improve tailored to our salon’s needs!

Not a con but would love more options for text marketing through the software.

It’s been great! I recommend it to all my friends in the salon industry

Pros

I’ve been in business for 7+ years and I’ve gone through a few different systems. Blvd is by far the best system out there. The processes are easy to use and seamless. Our clients love the reminders, text message feature, and online booking. My team loves the reports they receive and how they are informed of new appointments and client arrivals. I will never look for another system.

Cons

I wish there were more options when setting up employee payroll

I’ve had a great experience using Blvd. Our company has tried many-a-salon softwares and Blvd has just stuck.

Pros

Blvd has quickly become essential for our business. It’s user-friendly, and the capabilities are endless. Easy appointment scheduling, inventory management and client list information. There is so much help and support if you’re unsure of how to do something, too which is much appreciated.

Cons

I would love a little more design-ability with email campaigns.

overall, I love the system. It has so many different features, and I see that it’s continuing to grow and expand.

Pros

The customer service is great. There are so many features and customizations that are available. I love having a lot of different features.

Cons

reporting is not the best. Really making sure that reports pull the right information. And are more user-friendly. It shouldn’t take so long to pull the right information for your KPI‘s. Also having a dashboard for your KPI‘s to be able to look at for a quick glance would be amazing and make things a lot easier to take care of. the customized emails are also a big deal

I'm still not convinced of the price, but as we grow and increase our number of service providers I may change my mind.

Pros

The client experience has been very positive. Online booking a breeze and the ability to customize individual client's booking requirements is a god send. I can truly maximize my books when I can reduce appointments down to 5 min increments with out having manually squeeze in appointments and have a mess of a calendar.

Cons

The marketing feature is still pretty basic. I wish there were some features more similar to flodesk and zapier with out having to add the extra software charge on top of an already pretty pricey scheduling software. Integrations with canva would be fantastic.

One of the best things about Boulevard is customer service. Any time we had questions or issues arise, our problem was dealt with swiftly and resolved. Whether we emailed the rep assigned to us or used the Help Chat or the Support Center, we always felt that our problem was addressed very quickly.

Pros

Boulevard is the 3rd scheduling software we have used in the salon, and is by far the best one. Boulevard is very user-friendly. We have had very few problems with it (business interruption or faulty software or the system going down) like we experienced with the other two programs we used in the past. We love the app the stylists/barbers can get on their phones to se e their schedules, be alerted when a client checks in and see client notes right on their phones.

Cons

The negative about Boulevard is that it doesn’t easily connect with any email marketing programs.

### "Love where this software is headed!"

Pros

extremely functional and user-friendly. It made for an easy transition at our salon for receptionist, stylists, and admins. The onboarding team and customer support are incredible, too! We have two locations and they are very easy to switch between and manage.

Cons

definitely a "young" product. There are some gaps in reporting and the lack of a client portal it a huge con for our clients, though, I believe one is in development for next year. We have two cash registers and we struggle to keep financial reporting clean due to a "floating drawer" concept. They support team was helpful with suggestions and we have a make-shift system but do hope that Blvd will invest in improving this feature.

The integration was amazing. It was a very smooth & easy transition for our team. Training was simple & effective. The support from the boulevard team is exceptional. They respond in a timely manner.

Cons

The only thing missing is a log of all items while inside the software. Other than that the software is the best out there.

Overall I have been happy with the service.

Pros

I like that it is a web browser so all of our providers have access to their schedule at home. I like that it seems to manage the overbooking of devices fairly well

Cons

I do not like:-that on the print out of our schedules there is nothing there to show the amount of treatments left in their package. -when going in to block multiple peoples schedules there is not a way to select multiple provider and do a bulk block. Instead I am going into each persons schedule and blocking.

I HEARD OF BLVD 8 MONTHS BEFORE WE DECIDED TO SWITCH OUR PLATFORMS. WE CHANGED IN THE BEGINNING OF 2020 WHILE OUR SALONS WERE FORCED TO CLOSE. IT WAS A SCARY TIME TO CHANGE WITH ALL THE CHANGES GOING ON IN THE WORLD BUT BLVD MADE THE TRANSITION SEAMLESS. IN THE PAST THE SELLING AGENT HAS BEEN GREAT AND THEN ONCE WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A ACCOUNT MANAGER EVERYTHING HAS FALLEN APART. THAT IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL WITH BLVD. I WAS SO SCARED OF THAT HAPPENING TO US AGAIN AND THIS PROCESS HAS BEEN THE BEST DECISION WE HAVE MADE FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR SALONS. ALL OUR DATA TRANSFERRED SEAMLESSLY. ALL OUR STYLISTS WERE ABLE TO PICK UP RIGHT WHERE THEY LEFT OFF AND NO CLIENTS WERE EFFECTED IN THE TRANSFER. WE GET GREAT FEEDBACK DAILY AND WE ARE SO EXCITED TO GET DEEPER INTO WHAT MAKES BLVD SPECIAL. WE JUST HAD A MEETING WITH OUR ACCOUNT REP DALY AND WITH EVERY STEP WE TAKE WITH BLVD WE GET STRONGER AS A TEAM AND AS A COMPANY.

Cons

I WISH THAT IT COULD HAVE TRANSFERRED OUR PAST RETAIL HISTORY. I USED THAT A LOT IN THE PAST AND WE HAD TO MANUALLY RETRIEVED THAT DATA BEFORE THE TRANSFER HAPPENED FROM OUR PREVIOUS PLATFORM. I WOULD HAVE JUMPED ON BLVD MUCH QUICKER IF WE WERE ABLE TO HAVE OUR RETAIL HISTORY TRANSFERRED.
