Pros

Twilio really knows how to deliver solutions that scale. Their APIs are extremely reliable and mature. We use Twilio in our product 24/7 and the experience so far has been fantastic.

Cons

Nothing to really complain about. They ship new capabilities every few days so can't wait what will be available soon!

Overall I believe their product to be of sufficient aid to my services and a product that my clients relay upon for reminders of appointments to keep working with the software.

Pros

I appreciate that the technology takes a lot off of my plate in terms of automating customer notifications

Cons

When there was a glitch in the system and I was grossly over charged it was very frustrating dealing with their customer support and I had to make a BBB complaint before the trouble ticket would be passed on to a supervisor, a process that took almost a month to resolve.

Pros

Twilio provides easy-to-use SDKs for it's product which makes creating SMS, "Answers" to calls, and other phone related tasks easy. Pricing makes this almost a no-brainer when deciding to use this product for your application.

Cons

At scale, Twilio could become expensive, but I'm sure you may be able to have some kind of enterprise plan when you reach that level. Other than that, the product is great. I hope this review "speaks for itself"

Now I've mastered it, I love it and it does exactly what my business needs with no errors or downtime.

Pros

Once you get it configured it manages SMS and automated calls with ease. It can be described as set and forget - but the set part is going to take you a while.

Cons

The dashboard is a mess with menus and sub-menus everywhere. When you first start using it, it's hard to know what and where you should be going to configure. It could do with some setup wizards.

We have been using Twilio for our Whatsapp integration, SMS, email (Sendgrid) and for creating phone numbers for our Customer support team.

Pros

The best thing about Twilio is that once you get used to their API you can solve all your communication problems using them. They have integrations and tools for everything that you could imagine.

Cons

I think that Twilio's API documentation could be improved. When you first start using them you can get lost in the documentation before understanding how it is setup.

Pros

We use this platform for it's cost and it's adaptability. Integrating SMS messaging into an existing application is particularly easy due to simple JSON API requests. If your development team is anything from individuals entering development to experienced developers who need a quick solution the thorough documentation and examples provides an easy route for either training and education or fast implementation.

Cons

All of the phone numbers that I have attempted to work with, roughly a dozen, could not receive SMS messages specifically from other automated services. This can prove to be particularly challenging when trying to receive automated messages on behalf of technicians.

Pros

Ability to acquire phone numbers quickly, set up with API access, and get up and running within a very short time frame. Pricing is very competitive in the market, and tracking is made easy within their platform.

Cons

Sending only one text per second on their base package is a bit limiting, but cost effective enough to make it worthwhile. They do allow businesses to be a "reseller" of their product, which allows companies to charge a client 4x what a twilio customer would pay.

It just works great and helps businesses communicate effectively and programmatically.

Pros

Twillio has easy integration with different programming languages like Ruby, C#, JS and etc .. All their API can be used worldwide which is a great plus against their competitors. Twillio has good technical support in case of debugging and being commonly used by lots of engineers, there are lots of resources around it that are very helpful and beyond that, the document is very thorough.

Cons

The price for international calls and SMS could be cheaper, and WhatsApp business can be a bit hectic to implement compared to other APIs

Once connected to other business software such as company CRMs or CMS it makes communication from this software to customers much more efficient and professional. I'd highly recommend it to all service or product providers.

Pros

Allows users to keep track of messages sent and this allows not only for detailed customer follow-ups but for proper accounting. The SMS notifications in particular make our customers feel more appreciated since the connection to our contact lists for example is easy and seamless. Doesn't require much technical expertise to setup and maintain.

Cons

The error feedback messages are not unique and this causes confusion to users as we cannot sometimes pin point the actual issue. I feel with the number of rich features that the User Interface might be a bit of overkill.

We have incredibly high SLAs and Twillio has contributed to us hitting them.

Pros

We make us of Twillio for sending sms messages escalating incidents based on Zendesk triggers. It's super easy to configure and connect to Zendesk. Pricing is also great.

Cons

The only con we have found is ideally we would want to have the sms come from a specific number every time but this is not possible. After speaking with Twillio support this has more to do with the country specific provider than Twillio.

Cons

I wish the cost was better at high volumes. Once you hit 100s of millions of messages there are cheaper solutions.

Pros

I cannot thank Twilio enough for coming out with their product called Studio. I'm a digital marketer with limited developing skills in coding but I love using their API. I have always struggles to make sms chat bots and programmable voice systems until they introduced Studio. Even better yet, they give amazing tutorials on how to use it step-by-step. I highly recommend Twilio.

Cons

Very much a UI for developers and for people that are familiar with coding.

For a global application that require sms, call, verification features etc that values speed and assurance of delivery and has active income or is funded, I would definitely recommend Twilio.

Pros

● Efficient in terms of SMS, Call verification, 2FA etc. ● Twilio is Integrated to mobile subscribers all over the world. ● Integration is very easy from different platforms and using different programming languages. ● Proper and Efficient documentations including tutorials. ● Easy to use interface for web application. ● Provides analytics of usage both through web application and pricing through API.

Cons

● Twilio is quite expensive. ● Different account types create confusion at times ie trial etc. This leads to quite a number of API keys at times that have different permissions.

I make use of Twilio to send OTP to my user's and so far it's been a good experience but sometimes I have to resend OTPs which translates into extra credit used

Pros

1\. They have libraries that make it easy to integrate their services into your software without having to handle hashing and http request yourself. 2. It takes less than 5 lines of code to send an SMS using their Python library 3. Their rates are quite affordable 4. They offer $15 free credit to new users

Cons

1\. Sometimes it takes a long time for a message to drop on the receiver's device or may not drop at all 2. Their charges are quite expensive compared to some of their competitors 3. The free credit they give cannot be used to send an SMS to just any number without pre-verifying these numbers

Cons

Su costo para nuestra empresa es demasiado alto. La configuraciones de los diferentes canales de comunicación es uno de los más tediosos con los que he trabajado.

Pros

It was easy to implement. They have a lot of solutions that fit a variety of needs.

Cons

I will preface this by saying I used this about 2 years ago, so their quality may have improved since then. But we dropped it because of the voice quality. The voice quality was challenging. There was frequently a delay in conversations, making it really frustrating for customers.

You can have one tracking number forwarded to various clients, saving you tons of money! Also, getting onboard and creating advanced solutions is very easy as they have fantastic devs explaining everything on their youtube videos. If you're a large lead gen business, it's a no-brainer!

Cons

Not a great option if you're just getting started or a small business. There are better alternatives for you.

generally speaking very happy we haven't had any significant issues with twilio and it's allowed us to accomplish our texting needs seamlessly in Salesforce.

Pros

Super easy for our team to use. We actually use a third party UI called Mogli. Twilio is the back end for our tool though.

Cons

It was a bit of a pain to set up a tool like this on an invoice basis instead of a charge as needed basis.

It's been good so far, it definitely helps us send out our messages in mass to reach all of our clients. It's fairly easy to use and navigate.

Pros

I love that this is easy to set up and to have a mass message sent out. This really saves time and is efficient

Cons

I wasn't able to integrate this with a few apps so that I could utilize it.

It has been amazing journey to use Twilio very few minor hurdles.

Pros

Twilio has almost all offerings towards communication platform. You could build your automation without writing a single line of code. i.e. Using their Studio product. Also, you they have small modular functions that you can write to add any other needs that you might want. This is solid cloud offering with most use cases covered in communication. They also have integration with Whatsapp and they have roadmap to add Wechat integration. 

Cons

There are very few cons with Twilio products. And they are very minor. For eg. They won't let you use pay through your companies standard pay process unless your volume exceeds certain threshold. Until then you will need to use your cards.

some more examples could help, as there were some parts of the XML that one needs to send to the calls API not so clear.
