### "Seriously powerful SMS text messaging features from your own web systems"

If you build custom web systems like we do, you need a good tool to interface with cellphones. Twilio gives you a system and API that can be configured to do just about anything you could need.

Pros

The API is really powerful and relatively easy (as far as APIs are concerned) to use. It's not too hard to use and can be configured to do just about anything you could want. It's cost effective. It's very reliable.

Cons

I seriously can't think of anything wrong with it.

### "My option to send SMS's in my application"

My software to send SMS's along my app.

Pros

Twilio has good callback system and retries associated with it, it was really easy to integrate with our application. Additionally, we can know do it internationally and help us expand our business.

Cons

The administration page could be improved. And it seems that it is not easy to understand which countries currently twilio support and if it's supported income and outcome messages or not.

In general terms, I think it is a more than sufficient tool, although I think it can be improved in certain aspects. It is true that at the end of the day, all existing tools can always be improved and I am sure that each and every one of them is in that process.

Pros

The Twilio dashboard is very easy to use thanks to its intuitive interface, and they also offer a wide variety of communication services that adapt to the needs of each user

Cons

Personally, I prefer to use automated responses and take advantage of the available artificial intelligence tools to improve service efficiency. In addition, I consider it important to track a more extensive set of key performance indicators in reports, in order to obtain a more comprehensive and detailed view of the company's performance.

### "An awesome programmable voice product"

I haven't had any problems using this product at all. I suggest it as a tool in your toolbelt for developers.

Pros

I love the ability to completely customize this product. If you know how to program, then this programmable voice is easy to use. The voice options are great, and the reliability is spot on. Very stable and reliable product. Thumbs up guys :)

Cons

Debugging the product is a bit time consuming, but it is getting better.

Pros

Global support and wide range of communication services make building bespoke platforms easy, whether a simple message confirmation or complex multi department platforms.

Cons

Although simpler than anything else on the market, is does require a tech team to properly integrate or reasonable tech knowledge to use the simple creator tools.

I have various configurations, but I use it for a digital coupon system. I send SMS and Whatsapp clients in a personalized and automated way. Its api is great and most computer scientists know it.

Pros

The company was never my first choice. There is cheaper IP telephony. What does not exist is any global operator with so many integrations and a good price. Whatsapp api offer. It's great. Because of these things, little by little I have moved for myself and my clients.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is that there are more manuals in Spanish missing or a channel in this language

Reason for choosing Twilio

If I need integrations, always with this company.

Pros

Twilio is by far the favorite SIP, programmable voice and text company I’ve used. And I have used quite a few. Their API is amazing and documentation is so user friendly. I use them for VOIP, automated SMS systems, automated ROBO calls and much much more. Will never move away from them!

Cons

Pricing, it could come down a hair, but still worth the price you pay

I've looked into a ton of different sms/calling API's, and Twilio's is the fairest price for the easiest to use API. It's just been a pleasure developing software around it.

Cons

I would say that the best Twilio features require a significant amount of technical experience. It's certainly great for developers though!

I manage a website which allows users to enable SMS based secure login. We use Twilio as our SMS service. I haven't had experience with their other services.

Pros

Easy to use libraries are provided for most languages so that integration is super easy - sending a text is pretty much a 'one-liner' if you use this method.

Cons

Can become expensive if you don't remember to program in some limits.

Pros

I use Twilio in my online marketplace to notify users via SMS about actions that happen in the marketplace and when they have a sale or a customer sends an inquiry about one of their products. This makes my company and its services more professional and eases the life of the sellers. Before I forget, customers also get SMS notifications when they buy and receive an answer from sellers. Twilio is cheap and its documentation is extensive and to the detail. One of my best choices, Twilio.

Cons

International (i live in usa) sms can be cheaper.

Pros

This product allows customer engagement to be simple. Right now Customer Satisfaction, Customer loyalty and Customer NPS are all buzz words in the consumer industry and this product solves them all. Just starting out and have some sort of tech background, get started fast with really great guided "Getting Started Guides" on Twilio's website.

Cons

Though this might not be a con, I believe you really have to receive some sort of consultative conversation regarding your business needs from a Twilio reps to make the best purchasing decisions. There are a lot of different price points, the good thing is you may start off small then scale from there.

It make client "pipelining" incredibly easy! Clients trying to reach various funnels almost alst end up in the right place

Pros

This product made client interactions simplistic and consistent . Saves a lot of time pre-screening callers

Cons

Sometimes transferring calls can be touchy. Once a client has made their programmed selections, the call sometimes wouldn't be able to be further transferred once answered

They pull a bait-and-switch on you and then hold your account hostage. They tell you to set up a free account and then tell you that you have to upgrade and fund the account before you can set anything up. So you do that believing you will be able to use the service, and then they immediately restrict your account pending management review that takes days. After a couple of days they send you an e-mail telling you they are suspending the account unless you give them details about the operations of your business that goes way beyond any legitimate interest in preventing spam. They should ask those questions BEFORE you set up an account so you can choose whether you want to give the information.

Pros

Full-featured platform, offers everything most people would ever need at a reasonable cost.

Cons

Support is by e-mail only and they take way too long to respond to tickets. They also don't read the tickets and just send you a canned response that has nothing to do with your issue. If you express any dissatisfaction, they send you an e-mail telling you how to close your account.

Pros

Twilio has been amazingly simple for our initial use of allowing our congregation to text their gifts. It is also a positive that it prompts the user after their gift that they can make the gift reoccur automatically. Haven't seen the numbers but I am expecting that this has upped the percent with auto gifts.

Cons

This could just be that I have not found it yet but we would love to be able to use twilio to text out from the church without needing the user integrated into our CHMS already. This past weekend for example we used a separate app to send text messages to new guests to the church a message from our senior pastor as we didn't want the guest in our database yet.

Anyone (with some engineering experience) can set up a SIP Client with Twilio. Easily the best & fastest way I have found to create one.

Pros

So easy to set up a new phone# that works almost 100% of the time

Cons

Costs can add up over time but that makes sense with the value we are getting

Overall, its a good system for academic projects or startups but might not be ready as of now for industrial deployments.

Pros

1\. It has an interface that a software engineer who loves his/her scripts as as well as an IDE person would find it easy to integrate. 2. It does have a learning curve but its worth it. 3. You can cross country call and message for free.

Cons

1\. They would work more on security aspects. You can basically use this to spam people all around the world. 2. If you have ever messaged on scale with twilio, you would find it slow as it scales but since it has been around from last 2-3 years only, I would give it a benefit of doubt to scale to their audience size.

It has been pretty bad. Medicore support and slow validation process. If you have months and months time to do your project then Twilio may work. very slow process to onboard and start using their products.

Pros

Ease of use of the platform and pricing.

Cons

Lack of customer service, setup is cumbersome and validations take forever for Twilio to complete. They can not open any pdf files you send them, yet they want proof. Frustrated that I could not even get to move forward initial step of getting a phone number assigned and restrictions imposed by twilio. Look else where if you have options.

Twilio was selected as a part of a larger pilot project for one of our clients that required messaging. -There are tons of different messaging options to choose from, including SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger. -We ended up going with SMS, but it was nice to have the flexibility to switch things up if we wanted to.-Being able to send messages to multiple recipients at once was a huge time-saver for us.- Great API documentation -The reporting and analytics features were pretty decent as well for tracking message delivery and engagement. I

Cons

The pricing can be a little confusing, and it's definitely not the cheapest SMS solution out there. so if you're on a tight budget, it might not be the best option for you.

I use Twilio as a SIP provider and I am very happy with it! I route lots of international calls through Twilio.

Pros

Totally reliable, just works. Using it with Freepbx/Asterisk, easy to implement. Lots of APIs or extra functionality.

Cons

No problems so far. Would love it if they would offer their own SMS client. Did not find any good one through third party vendors.
