Pros

What I like most about Twilio is that it solves a very important problem in my business. It helps my alert my clients when they receive a new lead in their business. This has been a game changer.

Cons

What I like least is that it was slightly difficult to set up. Luckily there are some helpful videos online that make the process a lot easier.

Nothing at all! All I received was nonstop calls and emails trying to push the product.

Cons

I made it clear what I was looking to do and the system I need to integrate it with. I was assured it could be done, after a week of back and forth, they admitted it may not be the best solution!

We use Twilio to integrate with our Church Management System to provide better communication with our members. The Twilio integration was built by the ChMS company using the SMS API and it works well. I've also used their voice API and their authentication app, which are very good. They have very competitive prices and solid service. They also offer discounts for qualified non-profits.

Twilio has expanded our ability to reach people by an order of magnitude. Couldn't be happier with it.

Pros

Twilio makes automated messaging almost laughably easy. We originally set up their programmable voice API to do community surveys in countries where we work but have since found a half dozen other uses across the organization, incorporating SMS messaging, WhatsApp, and potentially Facebook Messenger. The prices are super reasonable, and the tutorials are really helpful in getting things integrated into our existing systems (built with django).

Cons

We would really benefit from phone numbers being available in other countries where we work, such as Haiti, Mongolia, Ukraine, and Nepal.

Pros

Twilio is crazy cheap. I'm not sure how they make any money. They give you functionality you can't get anywhere else for a steal.

Cons

If I had to list something, it would be that I wish this was integrated into more software suites by default. I shouldn't have to use zapier and twilio to make average software amazing.

My overall experience has been really bad - primarily because there is no way to talk with a human. It should be known - the problem could actually be with facebook or whatsapp, since the twillio to whatsapp integration requires facebook too. But - Twillio is the primary contact, so they somewhat own any other weaknesses in the process flow, IMHO.

Pros

I'm at the end of my wits here - I've been trying to implement Twillio with Whatsapp for over two months. There's really no support, no way to talk to a human, and no way to bump up in the queue. Call me old school - but businesses that can't and won't offer human support make it difficult to give them my business.

Cons

Don't know - after two months, I haven't been able to implement it.

Adding text message notifications to a web app does a lot to make it seem more "modern", and Twilio is a powerful tool to do so. Highly recommend, and I haven't even scratched the surface very deep into the other services Twilio offers.

Pros

In literally half a day, I was able to bring text message notifications to my web app. Documentation was provided for my language of choice (php), so after prepaying and selecting a phone number, it was fairly easy to tie it all together.

Cons

Documentation for the api, examples, php, etc, seemed to be scattered around in different areas of the Twilio help/documentation website. I was able to dig into the info I needed, but it could definitely have been organized better.

Pros

It is so easy to use and retrieve anything you need. You don't have an excuse of forgetting something because it can be recorded to re listen too.

Cons

Not much to complain about. At first it was a little confusing to get going and make sure it was working.

It was relatively simple to integrate mobile verification of contractors attendance into our Brand Builder application. The cost per transaction is reasonable

Cons

The reject/failure level above 50% is unacceptable and makes it too expensive. Tech support could not help and blamed it on mobile providers.

The SMS delivery it's not great when you are outside US. They would charge us for SMS the got send but that actually never arrive, not even they knew what was happening.

Overall working and concept is good . It is secured and very high success rate as i have experienced.

Pros

I used this software for verification of my app user by sending otp to mobile and email address. We can send message or email through twilio and it is good to see real time experience. Other than this there support to developers is very good , If you send your problems to them they will try to do their best to get you out from the problem. They have very good success rate of successful sending of message.

Cons

Documentation is not well as when i integrate it i found so many issues than i drop a mail to support me then they guide me to the right path.

Lo mejor de esta plataforma es la diversidad funcional que tiene, y por ende, la cantidad de soluciones que ofrece para mi empresa.La lista es larga, desde gestion de contactos y de llamada, chat en vivo, permite la unificacion de los canales de comunicacion, grabacion de llamadas...Tode esto hace que el rendimiento de la empresa aumente debido a la agilizacion de la comunicacion entre los clientes y la empresa.

Cons

Por contra...tiene un par de cosas, que aunque puedan parecer obvias, parece que a los desarrolladores de la plataformas no les parecio importante, como que solo este disponible en ingles, y que carezca de una opcion descargarble para el movil.

Pros

I have use Twilio in API development and it is extremely easy to use. The API documentation is really well written and extremely small. I was able to make automated phone calls with a voice recording and real phone number within a few hours.

Cons

This can get fairly expensive if you have a lot of usage. The phone numbers are a little confusing.

The Twilio Service has such a large range of SMS and Messaging features, that it takes a bit to get 100% familiar with everything they can do. We have found the SMS feature integrates very quickly into your mobile app and the price point per SMS is great.

So many features makes the UI a little hard to navigate.

There is no real user interface. Pretty much the only way to use the software is to program it via the API.

I'm using Twilio to implement basic SMS-based notifications for web-app upkeep & maintenance purposes.

Pros

Once you've gotten used to Twilio's quirks and understood their pricing, it's an amazingly powerful tool for everything that can happen via a phone-line. From text to calls to automation: Twilio provides functionality for every conceivable use-case and exposes these features through a standardised API that is well supported by their many libraries & sample code-snippets.

Cons

Getting started with their API is a bit cumbersome. Authentication, API-endpoints and Twilio's code-level conventions take a good while to get used to. This is perhaps to be expected by such a feature-rich product but I was nevertheless hoping for an easier start for something as simple as just sending text. I'd also wish for Twilio to add some clarification to their pricing page in regards to international calls & pricing within the EU, as this was one of my sticking points when choosing Twilio for the job at hand.

Pros

The best part I like most about this platform is "Pay as you go". With the Twilio SMS API integration you can add SMS feature within your website or any other backed applications. We do suggest this platform to most of our clients.

Cons

We usually use this tool for integration and I believe it has all features which as required. So, I feel there is nothing which I like leas about this software.

We use it on our repair tracking and ticketing software to alert customers their devices are ready, we had to setup a number and so forth to get some API level info to enter into some PHP files and we were off and running! I was surprised by how fast this works, almost instant!!! I did have some trouble and continue to have trouble taking inbound texts and relaying those to our app / site but the outbound are more important to us anyway so it's ok.. still sorting that out.

Pros

Great API / info available for a quick dive into getting something up and running! Also a free trial / credits to test it out.. that's great. Very easy / slick menu system backend too / logs.

Cons

I liked the tech but the support could use some work, naturally you may not ever need them but I did as the text messages that were sent to the service from my website were NOT getting to my users on the application, we ended up in the finger pointing game.... was it the app , was it the host? Could it be them, who knows! The tech itself is solid though in all fairness.

Pros

We loved the fact that this was a plugin to our apps, but at the same time function was like a program in itself. Best of both worlds.

Cons

I like doing things myself and getting them done in my own timing, so I was a little bummed that this was not a straightforward plug and play, I actually had to get help with this since I am not very technical with coding/programming.
