### "Awesome tool for sending sms and voice calling"

Pros

Twilio enables the users on any platform to send sms and make voice calls internationally via its well documented APIs which can be integrated very quickly on the platform by the developers. The SMS can be sent reliably on any international or local phone number once the phone numbers are bought with the required services enabled on it. Twilio also provides phone number masking for making voice calls. All in all its really an awesome module to use in your product for availing all of the Twilio services.

Cons

Twilio should provide sms and voice calling as a testing feature on the trial account which can really help people to be more convinced about its awesome services.

### "Reliable text notifications for customers"

We've had great experience with Twilio. Our users sign up for text notification and we use Twilio to deliver them information. That experience has been well-received by customers. There's more to Twilio than that but texting is what we use it for. The system barely ever goes down and always shows us accurate information of our usage.

Pros

Barrier to entry is so low; it's so easy to get started with Twilio. It took us one afternoon to test it and we were running production-grade systems the same week using Twilio. It's documentation is so good that we don't need to call into support for anything. Billing is clear and analytics is clear as well. We have enjoyed Twilio.

Cons

There isn't anything I don't like about Twilio. I do feel that Twilio can create widgets for non-technical customers to sign up customers for text notification. We have development staff that understands Twilio well enough. I do see small mom-and-pop shop owners who'd love to keep customers informed of sales through text messaging. If Twilio advertised more or somehow helped such audience, that'll be really neat.

### "Amazing and the best at the services they provide"

Pros

We use a lot of channels for marketing and sms is one of the best with the response rate from platform users. Twilio makes it easier to send sms and manage. The features can be overwhelming at time but that's what makes the platform good.

Cons

Navigating the platform can be an hassle and this is a big setback. The customer service can be stressful at time, with the long waiting time to get a problem fixed.

It is a great way to manage the conversations between team members of our small team of software professional. It works well and we plan to continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

Pros

This product is used by my team of developers to communicate with each other and to keep records of our virtual meetings and conversations. It works great and we are happy with it.

Cons

The product is great but once in a while we need to restart the server portion because there are some minor issues. This is not bothersome as it performs what we expect.

The software was able to solve for a business requirement. Price point was reasonable. Performance is very good.

Pros

As a lead architect, I am always on the look out for stable, easy to integrate tools and services for our various Enterprise solutions. With Twilio, I was able to get a fully functioning Enterprise level SMS Notification Microservice up and running in under an hour. The ease of integration, it's simple API and documentation is what any developer would be happy with. The price point is also very reasonable and I would highly recommend this solution to anyone who is looking to evaluate or use this service.

It does the job and is able to send messages to our candidates now that we have this set up. However, communication from Twilio itself hasn't been very clear and we would have preferred more available support in the early stages. The fact that this is already linked with our ATS so we don't have to add additional API has been hugely beneficial and a bit time saver for us.

Pros

Ability to link this to our ATS, enabling us to set up automated messages via Twilio

Cons

When trying to set Twilio up and getting a better understanding of its features I submitted several support requests that were unanswered or support staff didn't get in touch at the agreed time for a call. In the end we worked this out by linking un with the partner agency that supply our ATS as they already had an understanding of Twilio

Pros

It's easy to set up with an API and you load money in the account and off you go! And it makes sure you are being compliant with regulations

Cons

It can be complicated to get setup and their website at the time wasn't intuitive to use.

Pros

Programable video, call recordings, creation of meeting recording compositions, everything works very well.

Cons

Some API callbacks are a bit unclear, but were clarified by their support team.

Our overall experience with Twilio has been great. The set up and implementation of Twilio in our office was extremely easy and we haven't experienced any issues using Twilio so far. I like that there's a specific phone # attached that looks like it's form our area code and office. Our patients can text us at any time and we have never had any missed texts or communication issues.

Pros

We currently use this software that is integrated with our ChiroHD Software system. Our team utilizes Twilio daily and appreciates the convenience to easily communicate with patients via text.

Cons

I don't think we are using the full functionality of the product due to it's integration inside ChiroHD.

horrible and frustrating. Do not use this service, they are the worst. Save yourself the money and time.

Pros

Nothing, the customer service is terrible. it is impossible to use the service and they are the worst

Cons

Their customer service is the absolute worst. You will never get a rep live. You will be charged for messages weather they go through or not. I was charged $250 for messages never sent. I cannot stress enough what a terrible company and product they have.

Pros

Cons

1\. SMS success rate and charges are better wrt to competitors. 2. Sender numbers tier is not in users' control 3. Sticky sender feature needs more clarity on usage

I have led teams that integrate Twilio as a text notification service for various events from medication adherence to support ticket alerts.

Pros

Twilio provides a very straightforward interface to programmatically integration calls and texts in to software applications. Configuration and set up is super easy, and Twilio provides a variety of options for regions and countries to set up your phone numbers for. They provide a number of SDKs in popular programming languages, making integration super easy.

Cons

The price point for calls and texts are a bit on the high side. Some of the more complex configurations might be a bit hard to set up, although their documentation IS quite thorough.

Overall a really great platform for building calling and texting with great api documentation and customer support. The merits of this platform are way huge then any defects

Pros

\- great api documentation and that too in multiple languages which helps a lot while developing - love the studio flow where we can design complicated flow very easily and use various integrations for each event - we build a virtual calling software using twilio and till date it’s working very nicely - can buy multiple numbers which help in setting the caller id or call masking

Cons

\- Had some issue with the calls sometimes, mainly call drops and poor voice quality but not regularly - Sometimes the sms delivery on indian numbers take a bit more time

Reason for choosing Twilio

I used Twilio in conjunction with Voip.ms, until recently I ported everything over to Voip.ms. Twilio was really cheap, had an intuitive interface, amazing customer support, and seemed to be really reliable.

Telnyx and Twilio were very similar, I went with Twilio because it seemed to be more of an established brand.

### "Plivo is GREAT BUT"

It was awesome. If you can live with the price and knowing that competitors are almost half it really could be worth it to pay extra since they have a proven and battle-tested platform. Denied SMS sends are a pretty big deal and it's really easy to get caught in spam filtering etc on other providers. However I think I would recommend checking there first to see if your group of users can use the less expensive option without getting any dropped/missed/filtered SMS sends.

Pros

I liked that it worked great for my needs (Api driven SMS) and that I hardly had to manage anything to get it working and it worked for nearly any phone number I or my customers wanted to text.

Cons

The price. Some competitors are half the price, however it's a tradeoff in that you will get more failed SMS sends.

Pros

Twilio is the kind of software I really don't know if I like or not.In its positive points, of course it is its features. Sending text messages, automating them with automation tools, getting a new phone number in a few clicks, all this is amazing.I didn't tried at much the VOIP features, but I'm sure they are great.It also looks like it allows thousand other advanced features, that I'm sure are super useful for a business.Support is nice and responsive.Good integration with HighLevel.

Cons

I never saw a more complicated software. UX / UI are terrible, and it looks really technical. For me, it was really hard to understand, and I hated to spend hours in the documentation or chatting with the support to understand it.I think a technician will love it, but if you're a business owner looking to implement it, get yourself prepared to take some time for it.Also, it's amazing if you use it on the American and Canadian markets, but for other markets, like the European one, there are tons of limitations due to countries and European policies.SMS are 10x more expensive on average, and you won't be able to do a lot of things, like for example doing 2 way messaging (depending on the country, some can, others can't). It loses a lot of interest. I personally had to rethink completely a project due to those limitations.

In combination with other software I have been able to setup relatively complex IVR and SMS phone systems with enterprise level features for a few dollars per month.

Pros

Twilio is my go-to internet telecoms provider because they combine every feature you could need with the ability to integrate their services with most VOIP and SMS capable software. Their phone number rental and call fees are very reasonable too making it affordable for anyone to create a telecoms presence in almost any country.

Cons

The downside of vast choice is complexity, and Twilio can be very technical to setup. I have always needed step-by-step instructions to achieve the results I needed.
