We have used it at our Company for close to 30 years. While we replaced the Accounting piece for a more enterprise capable system, we still use it for some of our smaller entities. We do still use it for Construction estimating and it has performed excellent.

Pros

It is a good product for small and medium businesses. It has been around for a long time (I think close to 30 years) and has excellent US based support. This is one of the few softare solutions left where you can actually speak to a real person when you need help. Everyone I have had contact with at Sage has been great.

Cons

There aren't too many things. The one thing is that there is not a good hosted (SAAS) solution for Accounting and Estimating. We use a ZTNA VPN and it works pretty well, but it is slower to open and perform some tasks.

Satisfied. We have used Sage 300 for quite some time, and we are pleased with the software, works great for what we need.

Pros

The software is easy to use and understand. The customer service has always been great once you are talking with someone.

Cons

Some Functions are Outdated, the chat system isn't as huge of a help. You can spend a while on Chat, and they will keep sending you knowledge base documents. If you can't get it resolved then they escalate the issue to a real person.

It's a reliable financial workhorse with amazing multi-entity tracking, but the UI is outdated and slow.

Pros

Sage 300 simplifies global multi-entity accounting with easy currency sync and reliable modular scaling.

Cons

The UI feels very dated, menus are clunky, and running large reports slows down the system significantly

As mentioned, it is helpful to my daily record in book keeping. It keep me secure for not easily reversed any transaction.

Pros

It makes my daily book keeping very easy and accurate. Quick get info and useful tools to present my finance reports.

Cons

Vendor number change looks simple. But no recommended as it's messed my book. Thinking it is easy to combine or name change. But not. Avoid this function.

Overall, my experience with Sage 300 has been very positive. The system is reliable, user-friendly, and well suited for managing day-to-day accounting and financial operations. It provides strong functionality for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting, helping improve efficiency and accuracy.

Pros

Clear Platform. Reliability. Easy to use. I particularly appreciate its ability to handle large transaction volumes, generate detailed reports, and integrate with other business processes. The interface is straightforward, making routine tasks such as invoice processing, payment management, and account reconciliation efficient. The reporting capabilities also provide valuable insights for financial analysis and decision-making.

Cons

I like most function. Hope there is an easy way to manage USD transaction. It is hard for bank reconciliation.

I have been working with Sage for a little while now overall it works great for General Contracting , wish it was some what easier to make changes to job costing and commitments.

Pros

The reporting is great for seeing bottom line on each individual project. Customer support is always great quick to respond and resolve any issues.

Cons

Being able to change items easily without having to call support. When entering job cost against an invoice and misread someone writing for coding and than its such process to change things.

Pros

There's certainly a lot to do in there - a lot of tools at our disoposal and lots of reporting types.

Cons

It's very clunky and the user interface needs to be updated badly. A lot of times, the report I need can not be easily found. I find myself Googling a lot of questions on how to use the platform.

Pros

It's easy to use, stays up to date (though it prompts for updates frequently) the support is great! Haven't had any issues with the product performing slowly or any troubles with getting support when needed. A breath of fresh air.

Cons

Prompts for updates frequently - this can be make it a nuisance to all our users of Sage in the environment who need to use it often, especially when it requires admin password to update sometimes.

Our company has used it for more than 10 years. I liked it, but we switched to Sage Intacct due to the growth of our company.

Pros

It is a simple system for a small company. I was able to produce the reports that I wanted. As our company is growing, we switched to Sage Intacct.

Cons

Not flexible and takes a long time to download a file if the file is big. Sometimes it crashed if the downloaded file was too big.
