Liscio has the ability to organize you so effectively, that you will feel like you have more time on your hands just with this organizational approach. I spend less time "figuring out what to do" and more time taking care of my clients "urgent" needs. Pros The process to move to Liscio was seamless, easy, and almost fun. It saves me time, it saves me having to use multiple products to organize the company, and I LOVE what is has done to assist my customers in receiving quicker feedback, organized discussions instead of emails that get lost or sent to spam. The highlight is ORGANIZATION and EASE PLUS PERFECT COMMUNICATION. Cons There is very little that this software is missing from the basics of organization. I look forward to when they can create a way to take a message and auto create a task from it, as well as take a completed assigned task and make it into a new to do task. I use it as my practice management tool as well as for client communication and document storage. Pros In my firm, it all comes down to securely moving documents and communication with my clients. Liscio does all of that and then some. I am able to share documents with my team. We can assign our clients tasks. I love how I can tag documents and find them quickly. My clients also find Liscio easy to use. I work with attorneys and law firms so data security is my #1 concern. This one app allowed me to remove 2 apps from my app stack. It is constantly evolving and getting better, Their support team is the best! Some of my clients like to use texting. Liscio supports messaging securely through texting too. Cons I did not like the emails that came when I email within the platform. But one phone call to support and they shut off that feature. Most of my clients get a text when I send them anything and it helps them to get back to me more quickly. The file size limit is also so large that I have not had an issue uploading training videos for clients as well as large data files. Pros Liscio has helped me communicate with my clients so much better. It was easy to implement and my clients didn't have any issues getting on board. Cons The only issue I have with it as a bookkeeper is that some of the fields on the client profile are more CPA-focused but it has not affected how I use it at all. They just don’t seem to be improving the software at the rate needed to fill the problems firms are facing with the software. Pros I did like that Liscio was easy to use and has an app for clients. The cost is pretty comparable to competitors, but I did like that if you had a contractor, Liscio did not charge you for an extra seat for seasonal or per job help (of paying annually). Cons I have been using Liscio since May 2021, and in that time they only “improved” about 3 features. The fact that Liscio doesn’t seamlessly communicate amount team members when something was handled is a huge pain point. We wasted so much time having EACH team member open messages to see if it was Hal fled because there was no way to know if someone else handled something. Also, there is no email integration to allow emails to be brought in that clients send that other team members may need to see. It honestly causes a huge bottleneck in our firm as I am trying to delegate work. People now, more than ever are thinking of security as a high priority. And so are we! Liscio gives me extra confidence when I am talking to prospective clients because I know that their information will be safe. Our accountants love it because it makes it easier to communicate between offices. Cons There's nothing I don't like about Liscio. However, it didn't work well for our business. Pros This app does a valiant attempt at trying to replace email with an all in one communication and coordination software between you and your clients. I like that it is trying to make thing simpler. Cons I much prefer email communication with clients. We are just starting to use more of the functions now that they integrate with Outlook and OneDrive Cons We struggle with the use of Tags for document strorage. Owner Accounting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great starter portal but data backup ended up being a deal breaker" November 20, 2023 3.0 It's a good software for someone starting out with a client portal product. It helps establish some templates and some good habits towards consistent client communication and keeping client data in one place. It served my needs well until I needed more robust data backups. Pros I loved that it helped me reduce the many different ways that clients contacted me and pulled all communications into one place. It took a little effort to train myself and my clients to switch over, but it helped me develop good habits and a strict communication policy. Cons Lack of organization in file storage and complete lack of ability to perform backups. They use a tagging system instead of folder and file structure and that's fine in the short term. Over time, it becomes completely unwieldy. They say that the lack of ability to perform a data backup is a security feature of the software, but over time I've discovered that's what they say anytime their software lacks a feature. They've also been slow to implement features that competing software has and I eventually switched to one of those competitors. It is a little bit of a nightmare moving my client files from their platform because no matter how meticulously I tagged files for proper sorting, the file download pulls everything into one bucket of everything and even just selecting all of the files to download takes way too much time. Now I have the fun task of viewing and sorting every single file ever. I could select tags and data dump more selectively, but that would take even more time and no way to know that every file was caught. Reason for choosing Liscio I originally chose Liscio over Tax Dome because I wasn't ready to make the large investment for the annual membership that Tax Dome requires. Review Source LI Leah I. We were able to streamline and organize our workflows better, save time and at the same to offer clients an easy-to-use platform. Pros Liscio is the best software for our client facing and team collaborating communications needs. It is easy to use, which is very important, because our clients would otherwise not accept and use the software. The fully searchable document storage is a time saver and keeps us organized. Tasks and e-docs help us to stay on track. Adobe sign is a built in feature for documents we need signed in real time. Email integration adds to speed up and streamline workflows and procedures. Liscio's customer service is outstading and extended to our clients. This was our best software implementation that we have made in a long time, and we are looking for new features to be added that will help our practice management. May 26, 2021 5.0 Liscio is so much easier for our clients to use than the previous product we utilized. As just an online platform for client communication and document sharing, we receive far less communication from clients regarding issues with accessing or navigating than we did before. The mobile app makes it even more appealing. Pros The messaging feature is what I like the most, hands down. The message threads are easy to follow and anyone on our team can access them, even if they are not a part of the thread. No more having emails stuck in someone's inbox or trying to follow an email chain that multiple people have responded to. Cons My least favorite thing about this software is that it doesn't work in our cloud environment so we are not able to fully use the software. I look forward to a long and lasting relationship with them. Pros This is a tremendous help onboarding new clients, and initiating responses from all of my clients. The security of working with it generates positive responses from my clients, too. They get my inquiries, etc. from their mobile app. Cons I would like to have the ability to keep my original onboarding documents intact, while being able to customize it to each individual client. Cons I wish I could apply tags to messages too instead of just files, because messages can sometimes be hard to find what you need. But they are going to improve some aspects of this soon. Email today is an environment that allows criminals to trick us into thinking we are getting an email from someone we know. With most of our communication with clients going through Liscio, I can see interactions my team has had with clients without endless email strings. Being able to share documents, get signatures, and collaborate with clients within the same platform has helped us tremendously. Clients being able to download the app to their smartphone and take pictures of their document and upload to Liscio which converts document to PDF has saved us a lot of time, and it is much more secure than email. Pros Very easy to get up and running with this platform. Lots of video tutorials. Support is very responsive to questions and provide documents that will assist in using Liscio better. Enhancements continue to be made just since we have been on board for just under a year ago. They really listen to feedback and seem to constantly work to make it better. It is not ok to simply email things, and even for non-sensitive information, having one location where all documents come in helps keep email from being overloaded, which helps tremendously in and of itself. Pros Ease of implementation for both my firm and my clients Cons I feel like for the basic document sharing, it is super easy and straightforward, but outside of that, it isn't as intuitive where we can on-the-fly implement the various features I'm sure we're not even using or getting value from yet. An example is how to share a document from a message with only an employee of the firm once it comes in. Is there an auto CC feature we can implement? I had a client actually say "Can’t thank you enough for getting this Liscio system Sam. You have just reduced my anxiety 100%. :) " , he has always had issues with any other file share system and with this one he loved it. Clients who have over 5+ business said Liscio is so nice and organized it will make it easy for them to keep their files on track! I still need some training which liscio is more than happy to do for me and others, just haven't had a chance yet, but once i do i know im going to love this even more. There is not a 'settings' option for contacts. Not all contacts need access to all the information and/or documents shared on the account. Review Source Response from Liscio January 9, 2019 HI there! About file sharing - we do have a few ways to share files in order to accommodate the many different ways our clients like to work. But, if you're looking for the quickest and easiest way to share files in Liscio, just send a message and attach the file with it. The file will be routed to the recipient's Contact File section. And unlike email where you get phished non-stop and have to stress over every click of an attachment, our file sharing happens on a secure network with just you and your invited clients. About contacts settings - only designated Account Owners can view or edit their company's Account Profile. By default (for security reasons), your clients can only see files associated with their own individual Contact Profile. So, unless you've designated a client as an Account Owner, they will only see files that are relevant to them. Hope that clarifies things.
