### "Safe + secure with WhatsApp"

March 26, 2026

5.0

WhatsApp remains the most secure messaging app I have ever used! I know without a shadow of a doubt, my messages and files are completely secure within the platform. I share updates, personal information and important files via WhatsApp and never worry about my information falling into the wrong hands!

Pros

I would be completely lost without WhatsApp! It is like a trusted friend at this point! I feel my most safe when sending messages through WhatsApp as I know they are fully encrypted so I'm never nervous about my data falling in the wrong hands!

Cons

ZERO cons! I use it for messaging for calling, for sharing and even friendly chats with friend all over the country! I've truly never had an issue with WhatsApp!

### "Essential everyday tool"

February 27, 2026

5.0

I use it everyday. I use it in-house and to talk to customers. I have also had. off site IT support call me through it and the video call makes life so much easier.

Pros

Firstly, WhatsApp is free to use and you can connect with anyone so long as they have the App and you have their phone number. I have used a teams WhatsApp in all of my past job roles. I use it to communicate with my own team as well as customers with messaging, sending pictures and even video calls. It is far quicker sometimes to send a quick Whatsapp than countless e-mails and I can also do this from the bakery floor. There are regular updates from the WhatsApp team and the only issue I have ever had is sometimes notifications don't come through straight away, however I believe that to more likely by my phone or the Wi-Fi than the app itself.

Cons

I have used Messenger (and still do for a few that don't have Whatsapp) I can honestly say, in my opinion, that it tops it in every way. The only minor issue is I don't always get notifications at work but because this is only at work I believe it to be the Wi-Fi as opposed to be App.

I used Facebook Messenger at an old job. I found WhatApp is more widely used. More people have a phone number than a Facebook page.

### "Useful App, but Trust and Pricing Decisions Are Hard to Ignore"

April 11, 2026

3.0

I have used WhatsApp for a long time and it remains a very practical messaging app with a simple interface and widespread adoption. It makes communication easy because almost everyone has it, which is the main reason it is still so convenient in daily use. At the same time, I am critical of the way the pricing strategy changed over time and of the privacy situation since it became part of Meta. These decisions have made it harder for me to fully trust the platform, even though the app itself is still very functional.

Pros

WhatsApp is easy to use, fast to set up, and ideal for staying in touch with friends, family, and colleagues. Messages, calls, and group chats work reliably, and the app is available on almost every device, which makes communication very straightforward. Its broad adoption is a major advantage because it reduces friction and makes it easy to reach people without needing to explain how the platform works.

Cons

My biggest concern is the business strategy behind the service, especially the fact that it was initially presented as free and later became tied to monetization decisions that felt misleading. I also do not agree with the privacy practices associated with Meta, and I am uncomfortable with how personal data is handled in that ecosystem. Even though WhatsApp is technically strong and convenient, these issues significantly reduce my confidence in the platform.

### "Easy and intuitive communications at face value, but with some privacy questions\*"

April 15, 2026

5.0

My overall experience is that whatsapp is an excellent tool for casual use outside of professional environments - although sometimes may have niche uses within a business context (providing a universal method of contact outside of formal channels, or for a quick 'ad-hoc' way to share sensitive information where impersonation or interception may be a concern). Sharing media between family and friends is simple, fast and independent of platform restrictions (eg. android/iphone emoji's not mapping across in SMS) thanks to it's universal interface. With all said however; If strong security and data anonymity is a priority then I would advise caution, given how tightly data and metadata seem to be embedded in Meta's infrastructure.

Pros

Whatsapp does a good job at getting the core functionality right without overcomplicating it; There's no barrier to entry, no confusing features or addons, and the interface is modern and intuitive. It hosts a standardised library of media (Gifs, emojis, etc) that maps across to most platforms (apple, android, microsoft) universally. From a security standpoint, it provides end to end encryption, and features like hidden chats/archiving and disappearing messages help reduce the risk of sensitive content lingering in plain sight (bank details, passwords, etc).

Cons

To flip the benefits on their head; it's greatest Pro is also one of it's downfalls. Being a simple chat app means there's no plugin ecosystem, no third party modules and no way to meaningfully extend the core interface (Unless reviewing business API's, which seems unlikely given the target market for Whatsapp is more of a 'casual' demographic). Alternatives in a business setting far exceed whatsapp in said settings, allowing for automations, advanced workflows and integrations with other tools; Teams, Slack, Discord - to name a few. From a dedicated security standpoint, the end to end encryption is strong, but it still collects rich metadata and ties that to Meta's global infrastructure, which understandably raises questions about data-sovereignty and long-term control over who has access to that data.

Switched from

[Telegram](https://www.capterra.com/p/180347/Telegram/)

Whatsapp doesnt require a social media account or profile - just a phone number, so it's simpler for every day comms. It also comes preinstalled on most devices, or is easy enough to install and navigate. Additionally it reduces the 'noise' and unnecessary clutter in feature-heavy apps, so the experience stays clean and intuitive.

### "Global Communication Tool"

April 16, 2026

5.0

Pros

It's super easy for me to keep in touch with people around the world, no matter where I am, and I don't even need a phone plan to use the app, just internet access. I also really like that I can have WhatsApp Business on my phone as a separate app with a separate phone number at the same time as the regular WhatsApp app, which allows me to keep work and private conversations separate.

Cons

It's really annoying that when added to a group or community, you can't see any of the previous messages in that thread. I've heard this was done for security's sake, but I honestly don't see the rationale behind that. Telegram lets you see all previous content when added to a group thread, and I much prefer that UX.

Reason for choosing WhatsApp

WhatsApp tends to be used more people, so it was more convenient for clients to host groups in the app versus other alternatives.

### "Pretty pleased overall :)"

April 2, 2026

5.0

Pleasantly impressed. WhatsApp is secure, easy to use, and very intuitive while still providing a fun atmosphere for communication.

Pros

One of the best parts of WhatsApp is the way they continually improve and adapt to the changing tech world without compromising their structure as well as not making large changes all at once which allows users to continue to grow and learn the improvements without becoming overwhelmed.

Cons

There are not much negative things I have to say about WhatsApp except one area for possible improvement could be a note/tab/message that group members could continually edit over time. It could be pinned to the top of a group chat and be a continually developing list of items or comments that could grow/change without having to resend the same message over and over again.

### "Whats App is Whats Up!"

March 9, 2026

5.0

Overall my experience with Whats App has been overwhelming positive. I use the platform regularly and have been very pleased with it.

Pros

Whats App is a very helpful and easy-to-use platform. It keeps me connected with coworkers, managers, and family as well. The chat functions, video calling, and messaging capabilities are very simple and straight forward.

Cons

Whats App has very drawbacks or flaws. The app has glitched and closed itself a couple times but it's extremely rare.

### "Lots of great features "

March 9, 2026

5.0

Every user friendly, lots of features that are really helpful for both personal use and for business use.

Pros

I use WhatsApp everyday. Can be used for personal or business messages. Free to use. I love the fairly new status feature where you can post images for all your contacts to see. This feature is very useful for my small business. Easy to send pictures and videos to people and it is easy to go back to find those images. The pin feature is useful for important messages and so is the search feature to find those all important messages. Group chats are also great and used on a daily basis.

Cons

When you would like to leave a group chat, I think there should be an option to leave anonymously as I think a lot of people stay in groups that's they don't want to be in as they are worried that leaving will be announced.

### "The All-in-One Global Standard for Reliable, Free, and Intuitive Communication."

March 9, 2026

5.0

What I like most about WhatsApp is its overall seamless and efficient ease of use. It is incredibly intuitive; once set up, sending text, audio, or video messaging is fast and reliable. The chat interface is clean and allows for easy organization with pinned chats and group management. I appreciate that it functions as a comprehensive, centralized communications hub—it simplifies my daily life to have reliable international messaging, high-quality voice calls, and stable video calls all within a single, free application. It truly offers exceptional value for money because it replaced my need for costly traditional SMS and international calling plans. Finally, the ability to quickly share different media types (photos, documents, contacts, locations) is very well integrated and dependable.

Customer support can improve. specially the documentation online. I often feel limited to generic help articles rather than accessible, direct help from a person. I also encounter persistent, though usually minor, bugs and issues. For instance, notifications can sometimes be delayed on one device but not another when using multi-device support. However this it the application for messaging i use and i feel this is the best in the market at the moment.

Great, great, great app. It's an universal, very flexible solution for private chats and also for professional communication (inside and outside company, and even with clients).

Pros

I like most about WhatsApp that everyone knows this app. It is super popular and easy to use by anyone. Another reason - value for money. I don't have spend my time to explain my clients how to use to messaging. We use livechat on the websites and the WhatsApp as a catch-all chat.

Cons

I use WhatsApp for many years and in my opinion it's hard to find any cons about this app. It's very easy, popular, and has app for almost any device / OS system.

June 6, 2025

5.0

1.User -Friendly & Intuitive, 2.Fast & Reliable Messaging, 3.Strong Privacy Features, 4.Versatile Communication, 5.Room for Improvement.

Pros

Cons

Hmmm....what i like least about Whatspp is that...it 1.Lack of Cloud storage, 2.Limited Multi-Device Functionality, 4.No native Message Scheduling-means we can't schedule messages to send later, 5.Group Clutter-group chats become overwhelming, especially in professional or school environments. 6. ### "Whatsapp Review"

January 27, 2026

5.0

Drop right in my overall experience with whatsapp has been solid and dependable it's the 1The 1 app I know will work no matter where I am spotty WiFi international travel It just delivers the core features messaging calls voice notes are fast secure and 0 hassle even if the extras feel a bit dated I've been using it for years and it's still the go-to for staying connected with friends and family not flashy but it's quietly 1 of the best at what it does.

Pros

What I love most about whatsapp is its effortless simplicity and Ads no nonsense just fast secure messaging crystal clear calls and voice notes that feel like talking to your friends in real time it's been rock solid for years works on any connection and never tries to be something it's not 5 stars hands down the app that keeps everyone connected without the drama there you go.

Cons

Not too savage what I like least about whatsapp is the occasional group chat chaos too many people replying at once turns it into a noisy mess read receipts endless notifications and that 1 guy who spams voice notes you can't mute fast enough also the desktop version feels clunky compared to the phone app and there's no real way to organize or search old messages It's not a deal breaker but it can get overwhelming when things get busy.

### "Take and Make calls on WhatsApp Web"

November 27, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with WhatsApp is nothing short of superb. Especially in this part of the world, WhatsApp is the number 1 instant messaging app for most people, why? It's lightweight, easy to use, easy to install, compatible with older phones and fun to use.

Pros

I like the ease of use and instant messaging. The app is wonderful, lightweight, and enables me connect to family, friends, work colleagues and even acquaintances.

Cons

What I least like about WhatsApp is that I can't take calls and make calls on the web version. It's uncalled for. Users should be able to make and take calls directly from their browsers. I use Linux OS and I want to be able to enjoy all the features that other users from other Operating Systems enjoy.

### "Unmuteable Whatsapp Calls are the most annoying feature."

November 28, 2025

4.0

Whatsapp is overall the most preferred messaging app but it needs to do something about the annoying call feature as most people prefer Whatsapp for messaging rather than constant calls. So whatsapp should focus more on messaging feature.

Pros

1\. Good messaging app with facility to send audio and visual contents in HD quality. 2. Not so cluttered like telegram options.

Cons

1\. WhatsApp calls are very irritating because they ring much longer than regular phone calls, and there’s no way to silence them when the caller is in our contacts. 2. They also continue to ring even when we’re already on a normal phone call. 3. Calls from contacts should also be able to be silenced.

January 13, 2026

I enjoy using it for personal, but I also receive business notifications for my software updates, for new art masterclasses available and for keeping in touch with people outside my country. I like it better than Messenger because it is safer and more secure. I don't have to beconcerned with people sending me advertisements and fraudulent offers.

Pros

I am able to use it to text friends and family in foreign countries easily and without paying fees. I can send and receive videos and images from wherever I am.

Cons

When I began using WhatsApp 3 years ago, I had issues with people including me in their groups or business texts. However, I did receive notifications that security is continually upgraded.

### "Great for instant communication, but needs better file sharing options"

December 10, 2025

5.0

WhatsApp is the first app I open in the morning. It has completely replaced SMS for me. I use it for personal chats and also for communicating with clients. The desktop version (WhatsApp Web) is a lifesaver for typing long messages. Despite the privacy concerns and spam issues, it is still the most reliable messaging app out there

Pros

The best thing about WhatsApp is its simplicity. Anyone, from kids to grandparents, can use it easily. The voice and video call quality is excellent even with low internet speed. I also like the 'Status' feature to share updates with friends

Cons

The biggest issue is image compression. When I send a photo, the quality gets reduced significantly. Also, the file size limit for sharing videos is lower compared to apps like Telegram. Recently, I am getting too many spam calls from unknown numbers

### "The Best Universal Messaging Service"

March 2, 2026

5.0

Whats App is a great messaging tool for use within the workplace for collaborative efforts or for personal use, providing lots of great services like texts, video calls and the ability to make a group chat. Whats App is also used all over the globe, so it is the perfect messaging app while you are travelling also, and is a great connection between people in different countries where other apps might be banned for example. This type of messaging service is essential for co-ordinating plans with loved ones or planning family get togethers or work meetings, so I wholeheartedly recommend Whats App.

Pros

I love that Whats App is a universal messaging service widely used in many different countries. allowing you to chat to people very easily through both text and video call/ It is a great product and I have never identified any bugs or things that need fixing. It is also free so great value for money and accessible to all regardless of financial situation.

Cons

I would say the thing I like the least about Whats App is the lack of anonymity, because you are required to share your phone number instead of logging in with a username and password, which provides a less secure user experience.

### ""8 Years with WhatsApp – Here’s My Honest Experience""

July 17, 2025

4.0

Recent updates like group chat invites and news broadcasting channels have made the app even more versatile and trustworthy.Despite the privacy issue, WhatsApp has been my go-to app for communication. It’s reliable and easy to use for chats, file sharing, and voice calls.

Pros

I have been using WhatsApp for the past 8 years, and it has consistently improved year after year through useful updates. One of the best features is the ability to send multiple images, videos, or documents at once — which saves a lot of time. The voice calling feature has also improved significantly in clarity and stability, even on slower internet connections.

Cons

There’s a major privacy concern that anyone can use another app or third-party tool to scan your QR code and easily access your WhatsApp on their own device, without your knowledge. This is a serious risk, especially if someone accesses your phone even briefly.
