November 30, 2025 5.0 Most versatile app to use across devices for data sharing and communication. I have been using it for my work for more than 2 years and it rarely disappointed. In certain occasions it fails to send multiple files if its not selected from within the app, like when we select multiple files from our device and choose telegram to share it. Pros Telegram has the most privacy in any social media platform in the market now that provide similar service. The mandatory requirement of a phone number similar to WhatsApp limits fake accounts to an extend. It can be accessed from multiple devices at he same time making it very flexible and handy. Cons The search option seems to be a bit inefficient, the key words does not always fetch desirable results, even when we type in a word to search in our conversations, it always shows something totally unrelated. That aspect I think would be better to take reference from WhatsApp or even Instagram. Switched from [WhatsApp](https://www.capterra.com/p/180345/WhatsApp/) I used to only use WhatsApp, but since I tried Telegram, I found it indispensable and now It is one of the apps that I have in all my devices. I actually use both WhatsApp and Telegram together because most of my contacts use WhatsApp, I'd entirely switch to Telegram if everyone can a switch. Review Source Lexus K. So if you lose your account, you can make another one, join the same chats, and still access the same files or pictures as long as the chat is still up. I like beung able ti find channels that pertain to me. Its easy to keep them organized. I like that there is also a personal message feature that you can use if you need to take chats out of the group channel. I do with the notifications worked better tho. Its hit or miss. But sometimes I will see something on Instagram and then click the link to bring to telegram, most times to see what the link is all about. But it's a pretty decent app. Knowing about the non-end to end encryption is crazy. Pros you are able to have a sense of privacy (to a certain degree, unless choosing another option which will be explained below). Specifically depending on the intention of using telegram, supergroups can be formed, going well above 200,000 members. Cons One may think that this app is similar to another like WhatsApp, but it is simply not. Unlike WhatsApp, telegram does not provide end to end encryption - unless you open up a secret chat. Finding out that your conversations are out in the open if the FEDS do get past this new ruling of allowing a back door to users encrypted data - will be putting us "innocent users" at risk.
