If clients already have confidence in the skillset(s) that I bring to the table, then Telegram is the cherry on top/icing on the cake. It's an awesome product that is continuing to evolve & improve, and in this cutthroat world that we live in using Telegram makes life so much less burdensome. Pros I love the security that Telegram has by default. End-to-End data encryption. As a freelance Computer (Hardware/Software/Network) & Telecommunications Engineer the clients that I deal with need to feel confident that what we are discussing is safe & their IP is protected. The other feature I love is just ease of use. I'm the first to admit that ease of use wasn't Telegram's strongest early on but they are receptive to feedback & have made enourmous strides as of late. And also, a BIG problem there is that you're limited to sending files that can't be even over 20mb. That's why I started using Telegram, for being able to send good quality and heavy files to my partners or even my boss at my job. I started exploring the possibilities, and discovered how to find communities, how to contact with others without sharing my phone number, and many other options available here that I was not used to in other apps. Unfortunately, not many people in my circle are into Telegram, so that's why even tho I like it, I don't use it a lot, however, any time I need to quickly send a file or talk with users around the world about some topic, I consider this app as a nice option. Pros Best things about Telegram: -No quality reduction issues compared with other chat apps. - No need to share your phone number or have other's for being able to find/be found. - Easy to find group chats and communities even without invitations (most of the time) - Fast charging and downloading files. - Capacity for sharing heavy files (GBs) Cons Not so good aspects about Telegram: - It can ocuppy a lot of space if you don't turn off the auto-download/save files and you're into communities and group chats. (I literally had THOUSANDS of images and videos on my phone "secretly" saved, which was the reason to have many GBs being occupied) -Unfortunately, Telegram is not the main chat app for many people, not even considered. Pros Telegram has everything a user wants, multimedia files do not invade the gallery, it has unique functions such as bots, it allows you to customize the application to your liking with different colors, themes, images. It is multi-device, it does not depend on the phone. Telegram respect your privacy, which is the most important thing. Unlike other applications, Telegram allows you to anchor more chats, it allows you to add users without having their phone number, you can include up to 1000 viewers in video calls. Telegram channels bring a good administration, in which you can do many things, they do not have a limited number of members. I love the animations that the stickers, the emojis have. This application allows you to send multimedia files without affecting the quality, regardless of the length of the videos. In my 2 years that I have been using it, I can say that it is much better than other similar messaging apps. Cons As everything has its against. Telegram despite being an application that improves with each update. It lacks some details that other similar applications have, such as Stories. As a user I have heard mention that they do not use Telegram because it does not allow to publish stories, if it had this function they would use Telegram as their preferred messaging application. Cons Telegram does not have any serious disadvantages in my opinion. I am using this application for a long time but I did not find any bad thing. Only few annoying things can be found. One is the popularity of the application. This application is not spread widely yet. I have a bitter sweet experience with it. If I have to change messenger I will miss file sharing feature nothing else. Other features need polishing. Pros File sharing is a breeze in Telegram. File management is also better than the most. Deploying chatbots are very easy as well. If these are your priority then this is your perfect messenger. Recently they introduced screen sharing feature which is a move towards the right direction if they want to attract more attention from organizational users Cons Notification are intrusive and there is no quiet mode. So it is very annoying. Call drops a lot. Last but not the list they should introduce either like or seen by feature to avoid clutter.
