Cons 1-the account deletion takes a very long time to go under effect (6 months) this option should be adjustable by user. 2- the user don't have the option to choose theme colors. 3- there's no option to choose the chat background. However, there are some features missing which might stop you from using it, such as missing video call functionality. Pros Telegram offers more features than even the most popular instant messaging app, Whats App. You can send secret messages which are secure (end-to-end encrypted) and disappears after a given time period, create groups that can have unlimited number of members, better admin feature for group admins and better file sharing capabilities on top of the typical instant messaging features. One of the useful features in Telegram are bots, allowing you to perform various functions in chats such as finding an image for a name. There is also a desktop app which works well, and you do not need to scan a QR code and have the mobile app connected to the internet to access it, like you need to on WhatsApp. Cons Although there are some good features, Telegram also lacks some essential ones, such as video calling. Another disadvantage is that normal chats are not end-to-end encrypted, only the secret chats are. I also use this to send photos and videos back and forth to my editor which I used in my food business for marketing. Pros I think this is a good interface for professionals because it is organized and free of unnecessary and informal features (like other reactions to messages) which helps maintain the vibe needed for that kind of set up. It is also one of the faster apps when it comes to sending files that maybe heavier in size (such as videos) without the quality suffering. At the same time it is good for social set-up because you can maintain your privacy to some extent. For example, when online dating you can choose to give your username rather than your mobile number, you can also opt not to show your last name. There are also games/activities in-app that can be used for entertainment. I also like how it saves your contacts and the data so even if you switch devices and don't have a complete phonebook on your new device you can still stay connected with your contacts. Whether for work or play, it is good to use. Cons I'm not a fan of how it alerts every time a contact is on telegram because it puts so much junk in your inbox. Its user friendliness is unmatched. Pros Telegram is an easy to use program and it has been very helpful to me and my friends. It keeps you connected and makes communication and sharing very easy. I like its openness where it is easy to access and join. For a plus, Telegram takes in more members in channels than in WhatsApp groups. Oh, have you seen the emojis and stickers! They are a real fun to behold. I also like the idea that it uses top notch encryption technology. It occupies less space as compared to some other messengers. And much room is giving to personalization. The best part is that it is free and has a great privacy policy. Finally, you do not get bombarded with whole lot of ads that distract you. Cons First of all, I felt the pain when some friends of mine from certain countries cannot access Telegram. They are great things we wanted to do and they are missing out. Also, it is not a fun at all to keep getting high number of notifications of contacts joining Telegram. If that particular notification plan can be put off, I will be very happy, personally. I do not know if it is my network but video calls drain a lot of data.
