I’ve been using it for a very long time and It’s a very great value for money. Pros What I like most about Telegram is how easy it is to message people. It’s a great software for team communication and usually has no bugs and issues. Cons What I like least about telegram is how sometimes it can take up to 3 minutes to fully send a message. I have met so many other people that share the same interests as myself. Pros Telegram is a software I use on a daily basis. It is one of my favorite messaging apps. I really like that you are able to find other users that enjoy the same things. Telegram is very easy to use and set up. You can easily find chat groups for just about anything. I have used Telegram to find information about certain topics and current events. Cons Telegram also has some things that I would consider negative. I have seen articles about crimes against children uploaded to the platform. It seems like Telegram allows just about anything to be posted. Luckily this has never been an issue for me. The most I like feature is data and storage tab. I can easily clean my storage usage and can link multiple devices. Cons No, I don't have bad things about Telegram. Pros The thing I liked the most about telegram was its strong focus on private and security as it offers ene to end encryption. I am able to send huge files easily to my friends and colleagues. Cons I didn't liked the notification system of telegram , because it failed to notify me of some important messages. Some features are a bit hard to understand for new users . Self Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Do Not Trust Telegram" November 22, 2024 1.0 Telegram needs to be held accountable for its actions. I have had an account with them for over 18 months now with the same phone number. I have always used it for the same things - following tech related groups and channels and participating in related discussions with software developers and Android enthusiasts. I have never broken the rules or violated the Terms of Service in any way. On October 24, 2024, in the middle of a conversation with my girlfriend (yes, my real-life in person girlfriend), I was automatically logged out of my account and informed that my number had been banned. I used the Help button in the app, I filled out the official support form, I email recover@telegram.org. I waited. I researched. I tried again. I messaged them on X. I talked with Claude.AI who helped me try things like contacting Telegram employees on LinkedIn, contacting my cell provider, checking to see if I had been placed on a spam list, filing a complaint with the FCC, etc. I waited, and tried again. Despite everything I've done, not only has my account remained banned with no explanation of why, Telegram has completely ignored me. Because I post to them on Twitter, I have been the victim of fake tech support scammers trying to get me to pay for a Telegram unban. By behaving in this way, Telegram is not only violating their own policies, but squashing free speech and the right to gather peacefully. They are creating a space for innocent people to BE scammed by hackers claiming to be able to reverse bans. This is unacceptable and must stop. Pros Before 10/24/24, I thought Telegram was great because you could be part of groups and channels related to your interests and engage directly with software developers. Cons Telegram bans phone numbers for absolutely no reason and not only refuses to unban them but completely stonewalls you. If they decide to ban your number - which they do arbitrarily and capriciously - you will lose everything you've done on their platform, including any money in your Telegram wallet, and you will never hear from them again. They do have a lot of spam content that shows up in messages sort of like ads I guess is the best way to describe it. Do not click on those ads most of them are scams and as soon as you click they can take over your phone currently dealing with that at the moment and it’s annoying Pros I like how the messages are private and you don’t have to worry about someone being in the messages like a group chat it’s more intimate. Cons To me it’s a little shady like why would you need a second messaging app. I get it if it’s for work but still there are plenty of apps that are more business friendly telegram has been known for people entertaining other people while in a relationship. È comodo per la sincronizzazione, così ho tutto sempre a portata di mano, anche cambiando dispositivo. Mi piace anche personalizzare l'app con temi e sticker, così posso renderla un po' più mia. Certo, a volte può diventare caotico con tutte le notifiche e qualche impostazione di privacy è meno intuitiva di quanto vorrei, ma nel complesso è uno strumento che trovo super utile e completo per la comunicazione. Pros Telegram è davvero comodo perché puoi avere gruppi enormi e canali per condividere di tutto, ci sono i bot che fanno un sacco di cose utili automaticamente e la privacy è super protetta con le chat segrete e senza bisogno di numero di telefono in vista. Funziona su qualsiasi dispositivo e sincronizza tutto automaticamente, quindi posso usarlo dove voglio, è veloce anche per inviare file grandi e posso personalizzarlo come mi pare con temi, sticker e notifiche. In pratica, è un’app completa e facile da usare sia per chiacchierare che per gestire community. Cons Quello che mi convince di meno di Telegram è che alcune funzionalità avanzate (come la crittografia end-to-end) sono disponibili solo nelle chat segrete e non nelle chat normali, quindi non è tutto protetto allo stesso modo. Inoltre, dato che è basato sul cloud, occorre fare attenzione a cosa si condivide per evitare di lasciare troppe informazioni in rete. A volte può anche essere dispersivo, con tante notifiche e messaggi se si è iscritti a molti canali e gruppi. E poi, rispetto ad altre app di messaggistica, non è sempre chiaro per tutti come funzionano certe impostazioni di privacy o di gestione delle notifiche.
