The only thing is that it needs a stable wifi connection which I have most of the time. Pros Viber is one of the best for providing text, call, and video call services and we can communicate to the whole world instantly. It's a free app with better sound quality in regular calls. Viber integrates phone address book and each time we decide to make a call or text it prompts the screen to call through Viber or mobile carrier. It has the option to share pictures that are on the computer and also the option of taking photos and can put text in images at the same time. it has a wide range of emoticons which makes our chats more interesting and more security options are available. Cons Viber does not have any option of call blocking so we can not block the call from an unwanted or unknown user. The quality of sound is reduced with low Wifi or 3g signals. Without a Wifi connection, we can not use Viber and we can call only those who are registered on Viber, and no possibility to call on landline numbers. When you registered it informs you immediately who has your number. Video calling is not good as other software. The files or images that are received are automatically downloaded and saved in our phone memory. It shows a lot of use ads. The audio is pretty good and the use Viber to communicate with my family abroad, we send voice messages, we send pictures and videos all the time. It used to be annoying to be in the middle of a voicemail and lose it entirely due to an interruption like an incoming call or accidental dialing BUT this has recently been fixed so the message is still there waiting to be sent to become. This is an improvement that makes me very happy. Viber is easy to use and understand; the interface is simple and user friendly. Pros Viber is a fast, simple and easy method for instant messaging and for video and voice calling. Allows you to connect with friends, family and clients with ease via both audio and video calling options and the best part is it is free even for calling abroad. The feature that allows you to create different groups is also beneficial because you can communicate with several individuals all at once e.g. family members, outreach groups etc. Viber allows the sharing of media, links and files and this is very convenient because you can share content with others without having to leave or use another software. Lastly the feature that enables you to mute a chat for a certain period of time is also very convenient because you may not want to delete a group chat but mute the notifications especially if it is a busy chat group with many individuals Cons The biggest disadvantage of Viber for me is the fact that there is a limit to the size of a file and length of video that can be shared in a Viber chat. Pros I have used some other communications means and finally chose Viber for interacting with my family members and social circle. I did not feel frustrated when I call my friends and family members because of clear audio. It's very cheap source of communication for me to interact my relatives living in different countries. When I was using other platform to communicate with them, we were not comfortable due to bad audio and video reception. Viber resolved this issue and now I can talk to my lovedones without saying them again and again that I am not hearing you clearly. You can easily send text messages, photos, videos and files to your contacts using it. Apart from chatting you can also make audio and video calls to your contacts. Using paid credit in viber allows you to make VOIP calls to landline and mobile users anywhere in the world. It works equally well on all smartphone and computer systems. Cons I personally do not see any shortcomings in viber. It's easy to use. Free overseas calls. You can also buy credits to call users without Viber. Viber allows to quickly message colleagues. The recipient will receive the message in an instant, with no delay. It can also be used for video calls or meetings, which is useful when working from home (WFH). Cons We cannot block calls from unwanted or unknown users, as Viber may not offer call blocking options and no ad blocking capabilities. A weaker wireless or 5G signal can degrade sound quality. Received data or photos are immediately saved and saved in the storage space of our phone. If you uninstall Viber and try to reinstall it again, all your messages and history will disappear. Viber's automatic media file saving feature is a little inconvenient. The number of photos that can be uploaded at one time is limited. There is no filtering system in spam.
