Pros

Chime is reliable and consistent for meetings, chat, and calls. Its tight integration into the Amazon ecosystem makes user management easier. Call quality is solid, and the ability to quickly spin up meetings is helpful.

Cons

Feature-wise, it’s behind Slack or Teams. The UI feels outdated, and it lacks many collaborative features modern teams expect.

I wasn't aware of the existence of this application, but I really feel comfortable and used it. I will definitely take into consideration at the moment of recommend it to someone who needs it.

Pros

I still remember three months ago, when I received my first invitation to a meeting with Amazon Chime. My colleges and I were a little bit surprise about this link, we weren't aware that Amazon had a video call service. So it was a surprise. Since then we got used to it. Really easy for using, the bar for sharing screen, turning off camera and muting yourself. Something different, as zoom, google meet and Webex have them below.

Cons

One of the things I don't like of Chime is the support for Linux. There's none. You have to used the web version. But in the meantime, there's support for Mac and Windows. So not good from Amazon doing this.

Pros

There were some decent features on here and for the audio/video quality, the "noise cancelling" option worked quite well.

Cons

User interface seemed lacking compared to it's competitors which was something I did not anticipate. It still worked just fine but if I had to list a "con" or "dislike" that is probably the first one that came to mind.

During video calls, the network connectivity is poor and people gets dropped off from the meeting automatically

It’s a decent and cheap vc client and does the basics well. Overall it is pretty tame compared to all the other major players in the market, but you get what you pay for

Amazon chime is a very good tool to build webRTC related application and can be deployed to production fairly quickly too.

Pros

Our team used Amazon chime to build a simple video call solution feature, it also supports messaging and have very sufficient online documentation to learn how to use the SDK to build the application.

Cons

The setup on amazon side can be little confusing initially also network related troubleshooting in production can be another hurdle.

Overall, my experience with Amazon Chime has not been quite good. UI is very complex and audio quality was pretty bad.

Pros

I don't see any strong benefits using this. Whenever we need to connect with AWS internal team or technician, We've been connected through Chime. Its just for online meeting, nothing special

Cons

We had very poor audio quality, which made us to drop and re-connect to the video call, very bad UI which makes users so confused.

I like it...Amazon chime is user friendly, provides competitive features in comparison to other meeting apps and software's.

Pros

I love how Chime will auto call you for a meeting.

Cons

Chime is not the best for one on one chats and really bad for group chats. Also, the inability to set up meetings that are independent of a particular user is a real deal-breaker for me.

Amazon Chime removes dependencies on multiple applications. It has combined chat & meetings & also supports dial-in & in-room video conference which are suitable for external communication.This single application is sufficient for all our communication needs!

Pros

It easily integrates with external tokenizers to implement multi factor authentication.Chime has a dedicated management console for implementation of policies.Chat & meetings are present in two different tabs under the same application.

Cons

Poor performance on weaker internet connection.Based on the 'pay as you go' model of subscription. For any requests, we have to contact the support team.

Overall its very easy and simple to use. I can contact fellow leadership when I need to quickly. Its convient to use either on mobile phone or laptop. I have it downloaded on my phone for easiness of contacting other managers when needed to. Its easy to add links or files.

Pros

The product is easy to use and opens up quickly. Its easy to search for someone and add them to your contacts. Its easy to download and install on PC or laptop. I liked how you can also customize the sound for your notifications when receiving them.

Cons

Sometimes the connection goes in and out. Other then that I feel like there's nothing I dont like about it.

Excellent experience, but not partial to this platform over others.

Pros

I liked how Amazon Chime offers noise suppression and blurs your background. I also enjoyed the features of screen sharing and you can share large files via chat.

Cons

I did not like that there is no live captioning or transcripts for meetings that should be automatically transcribed for ADA purposes.

Amazon Chime is ALWAYS up at my law firm. We have about 10 attorneys and 15-20 paralegals, and we use chime for everything that doesn't need to be put in an email. I love that attachments can be dragged and dropped so easily.

As per the current scenario were many big same offering products failed to provide security. Here we have Amezon's which is recognise in cloud services hence we can assured to get best security.

Due to business related meetings, I have been using Amazon Chime and sometimes it's an sufficient program if you use it via chrome. Meetings are good but not so good connection like other counterparts.

Cons

Connection problems are critical and sometimes it's creating problem on it's own. Video connection also can be problematic.

Overall, I found Chime to be an acceptable alternative to other virtual meeting tools. It is not the app of choice for my workplace, but I would be ok with a switch as it gets the job done.

Pros

I found Chime to be fairly easy to use and held its own against the other virtual meeting tools that are available. To me, there was nothing that set Chime apart from any of the others. The meeting quality, both audio and video, was very good. All of the basic functionality was there too.

Cons

Not a whole lot to complain about and the one thing that stuck out to me might just be a lack of familiarity. I was not able to find a way to set a default profile for audio/video controls that would allow a user to join muted or with video off by default. It seemed that you had to join with everything on, and then make adjustments.
