VigilantPay is easy to use and gives peace of mind. Pros Assists with ensuring payments are going to the right person and a good prompt to check for possible duplicate payments. Cons We do have some payees that get different types of payments so have duplicate vendor records in our system which sometimes causes a conflict in VigilantPay which we are unable to resolve without help from VigilantPay. Not that we have to wait long to get it resolved, just it would be great if we could resolve ourselves. Easy to upload bulk suppliers and payment batches. Reliable. Responsive support team. Sharing of information across organisations. That there is hash total functionality. Cons Sometimes AP payments are being flagged unnecessarily - first name and last name reversed, Payments to IRD under creditors name etc. Inconsistent flagging of issues. This is a key feature that all VigilantPay users benefit from. Regarding adding notes to automatic payments and transactions made directly at the bank—you can add notes or tags to these transactions once you’ve imported your monthly bank statements, and these will be displayed beside the relevant batch payment on the Audit & Risk Report. During our phone conversation, you mentioned wanting the ability to hide payments made to your payroll provider. Due to the way our Audit and Risk reports compile transactions, we cannot exclude these payments. Most of our clients find this data valuable, as it helps verify that the correct payroll amounts have been deducted when using external payroll services. This is also essential for highlighting to the Board any other types of batches that may have been paid directly to the bank without first being approved through VigilantPay. CW Cameron W. The setup, support and troubleshooting has been fast and excellent. Pros That it provides peace of mind that I am not making erroneous or fraudulent payments by running numerous checks over our payment details independent of our accounting and banking systems. Cons It did seem to suffer from the developer focusing on their AML/CFT offering and neglecting ongoing development for a period of time, but this has changed over the last year or two. March 6, 2024 5.0 The team understand where the risks of fraud sits and are very easy to deal with Pros This system gives visibility of standing data changes as a real time part of the payment approval cycle for both AP and payroll, allowing me to focus my time where the risk sits. It highlights new vendors and employees or those where payment details have changed allowing me to question the team and focus on compliance in process in the correct space, where our risk sits. Cons When there is a mistake, you cannot correct within vigilantpay itself to exclude to problem payment. You must go back into the batch file remove the line. This is part of the protection of the data for a client. If a user could edit within VP then this would then not match the data within the ERP and or payroll system. So any errors that VP finds does need to be corrected at the source. Stopping errors before payment is made is one of the core functions of VP. DX Dennis X. Cons The warnings and alerts could be better tuned to eliminate noise given known information associated with regular / repeat payments so that when the alerts are there they are really there for a good reason. What is particular great is it does the checking before the transactions go anywhere near the bank. Not much help know that your money's been stolen after the crook has got away!! Pros Just fits in with our present systems Gives great overview of the system and risks associated with our payments processes to the Board Cons Very little, its simple, easy to implement and highly cost efficient.
