My experience with Zanda was overly complex at first especially when it has was my first time using this product, but with time it was easy although I still feel they product should improve in speed and performance.

Pros

The aspects that it helps health records and medicals scheduling, patient records, and health tech records such such clinical notes and secure storage of data.

Cons

It occasionally slow at times and lags while loading data. It's has complex interface find it hard at first.

### "When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, it's a disaster, and the service is even worse. "

See above, pretty well sums it up. When the software is working it's fantastic. When it doesn't, it's like pulling teeth to be heard or seen by the developers, while they treat you like a junior staff member in their office because they're too lazy to do anything for themselves. It's actually disgusting.

Pros

This software does almost everything one could need from clinic software. There's not much left wanting, except the ability to manage and track batch numbers on herbal products.

Cons

When it works its great. When it doesn't work, there's a very poorly designed chatbot to deal with which will happily allow you to do all the tech's trouble shooting for them, collating screenshots and version numbers and error codes, followed by a quick message to send all that separately via an email (after you've done the work, not before, as if you don't have enough to do when you're clinic software isn't working). Then, you'll wait 1-2 hours to get a human who will take you through all the troubleshooting steps (again) that the chat bot did. Lo and behold, nothing changes, you continue pushing through because, imagine you have a business to run using the software which is presently not working until bang.. it magically works again, while the support staff tell you they didn't do anything, so it must be all in your head. This is despite the error logs of your browser, which you never even knew existed prior to becoming Zanda's trouble shooting staff by proxy (with well under market rate compensation mind you, IE ZERO), showing an issue which a simple Google search demonstrates is on the developer (ie ZANDA's) end, not your computer.

Overall very happy with the features and they are always updating and adding new features and improvements.

Pros

Designed for allied health professsionals. Wide range of features including integrated telehealth, SMS reminders, customisable forms and note templates, online bookings and client portal.

Cons

Would like the option of phone support rather than only email or chat - you can book a phone session but booked out for weeks so this doesn't work for urgent issues. Would also love more features in the client portal eg sharing of documents.

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend Zanda to anyone. Although is fully remote, I think it's missing many useful features and is not user friendly.

Pros

I enjoy that it is an integrated system where you can do pretty much everything related to bookings and communications in one place.

Cons

I don't like that Zanda is not user friendly. There is not a simple way to do things on this app, everything has several ways to do done and is quite confusing.

Fantastic overall experience, I'm very happy with this program.

Pros

This is a great program that meets my business needs. It's so easy to use, and well integrated with other software. There are so many great features! The templates are easy to personalise, with fields I can merge into my emails. While I was setting up my business on this platform I was able to have all my questions answered through the chat function or the knowledge base. I love the client portal that makes client bookings so easy. When I send out forms they are automatically attached to my clients' Zanda file once they are completed, with no need for me to manually file them.

Cons

I did not know about the fees associated with sending out texts through Zanda before I signed up. I would have liked to know about these costs.

I have used half a dozen other practice management systems. This is the easiest and meets my needs best.

Pros

The user interface is intuitive and usable. I can visualise my progress notes for previous consultations easily by scrolling down. Notes autosave as drafts, which is great. The calendar integrates with my phone, so I can see multiple calendars simultaneously. I can build customised templates with autofill fields easily. It integrates with sms, email, and Telehealth.

Cons

The calendar integration sometimes takes time to synchronise changes to bookings. The letter/report templates don’t autosave and sometimes I have lost work. It can be tricky to attach documents to emails. The practitioner permissions don’t allow me to make changes to my roster.

### "2yrs of PowerDiary and Continuing!"

Although I found the learning curb steep at the beginning, I really love PowerDiary and have actually refused becoming an affiliate with various mental health services because I don't want to have to use their system instead of my PowerDiary one.

Pros

I love the range of services PowerDiary offers and that I can do EVERYONE in one setting. PowerDiary allows me to schedule/book appointments, send automated communications, create assessment and templates, write my notes, track who's paid and who still owes me a payment, having video sessions, and so much more. Best of all, PowerDiary is always open for suggestions about ways they can improve the system and unlike lots of other services, they actually implement the changes then contact everyone informing them of the updates. I also love that if I have any questions about something on PowerDiary, I can chat with someone in realtime for help or schedule a meeting with someone who will guide me in a one-to-one session.

Cons

I sometimes still get stuck when it comes to how to navigate third-party bulk payments, but a quick refresher always gets me to where I need to be.

### "It works! Need I say more?"

We are still under using Power Diary, but it is easy to show others what to do to get started. In a short time they have told me what it can do. It's great.

Pros

It saves me a lot of time, I can see at a glance if my clients will be attending, I can look back over their attendance easily when asked. I can schedule down time for myself and others on my team. It prevents double bookings. P.D. just streamlines my office work, and I save staff member time.

Cons

My own lack of time to get the full benefit of the functionality P.D. is capable of.

I came across Zanda through and LinkedIn post and tried it and was fascinated by its features, it has improved my throughput as now I am easy able to handle my meetings and any review or revision from my client.

It has made me possible to manage and schedule my meetings with my clients effectively

Cons

Personally don't find much dislike but I have used both desktop and mobile versions and can say that the mobile version lacks most of the amazing features which can be improved.

Very positive- it is easy to use and helps reduce my admin time.

Pros

Clinical notes are quick and you can make templates to speed up the admin process. There are lots of additional features you can use e.g., invoicing, custom emails. Customer service and support is brilliant!

Cons

It's a good product but I still don't use it for report writing as it is not fit for my purpose yet.

Pros

The billing and reconciliation features save me hours every month, and also help prevent errors in tracking payments. My setup is so much more professional, thanks to PD.

Cons

Some of the scheduling setup is a bit clunky, and could be updated to be more intuitive. Particularly annoying is the I have to correct the session end time even when I have selected a service which its e.g. 50 minutes.

Overall it isn't too bad, Notes are quite good. And staff are good. However, it does remain a very restrictive platform with multiple irritating imperfections. They are keen to listen and let you know they are making changes, but the role out is extremely slow and slightly disappointing following the long wait. They have the potential to be very good if they implemented the changes they say they would do, but sometimes get they feel they are complacent with their product.

Pros

Support is good in that staff to try their best to help quickly with the availability they have. Have some good features e.g notes. It can be a cheaper option if you avoid using SMS. (This is where they make up the difference.)

Cons

They take a very long time to implement changes, yet they can implement changes fast if need to such as adding telehealth during COVID 19 in a week (if they didn't they would have lost business). They discussed intake forms since I started a year ago (and has been a popular demand by many users) and still just talk of it happening, yet keep you hooked by saying coming in a few months. They make their money on SMS so be careful , never known SMS to be so expensive. They recently did a user interface facelift with new features. It is still quite dated compared to competitors and you're restricted to what you can do. They could do with a graphics designer or ergonomic designer on their team.

Reason for choosing Zanda

All in one CRM system and at the time they were ahead in the development of clinic notes compared to cliniko and acuity. Although they appear to have excelled in the development whilst power diary dither in and out of complacency. Maybe lasts years action plans focus was on marketing this year, I remain hopeful:)

Thanks John. The Online Forms have taken longer than initially anticipated, but I can assure you it has nothing to do with complacency - in fact quite the opposite. Our online forms are built on our Client Portal platform. During dev we identified there were some emerging limitations with the technology we had been using for the Client Portal. We decided that instead of building another feature on top of it, we should instead rebuild the Client Portal first using more flexibility technology, and then build the Online Forms using that. It's a 'get the foundations right first' type decision. Whilst not glamorous, this approach has ongoing, long-term benefits for all our users. The Client Portal has now been rebuilt and released, and the Online Forms function is in final stages of pre-Beta testing. Re SMS: these are middle-range for pricing. We use an enterprise-grade gateway that is very reliable. There are some cheaper, less reliable providers but we will never use them.

Power Diary solves multiple problems for me by offering an All-In-One type EMR platform that allows me to document, track my invoices, communicate with clients, manage my schedule, and pay attention to my reports.

Pros

Power Diary offers LOTS for features: built-in CRM for email & SMS marketing, appointment reminders, and client correspondence; HIPAA compliant EMR for SOAP notes; customizable templates for SOAP notes and intake/consent forms; the flexibility to create your own SOAP notes and forms; automatic invoices generated when appointments are created; easy scheduling in-person & online through a client portal; capability of clients to pay in advance when they schedule online; Stripe integration with payment processing; reporting for KPIs to understand practice management; ability to create session packages; ability to create 1-on-1 sessions or group classes

Cons

1-way sync with Google calendar - 2-way sync would be much better so that the calendars could fully communicate

This platform has been beneficial for our business to use and made the service we offer more professional.

Pros

Customer service is good and has a fast response time, which is always appreciated.

Cons

The pricing is slightly high, and it would be nice to have this reduced for those of us who are loyal customers. We have, at times, been financially impacted when the system is down. The booking system has definitely made it easier for our clients to schedule. However, with ongoing improvements such as allowing direct debit and better appointment options, power-diary will become a better product and more versatile for various businesses. Overall happy.

Reason for choosing Zanda

One of the more highly rated products. The cost for us is slightly high and does not meet all of our requirements currently. However, PD has said they are looking into better functionality.

### "Easy to use, great functionality, responsive team"

We moved from Front Desk PM to Power Diary after 12 years. We were naturally anxious about how the information would be migrated to the new system, and whether the system would be able to handle the frequent, high intensity use our multi-practitioner, multi-disciplinary team demands. We have 42 users, and 29 practitioners so we needed a system that was responsive, adaptable and customisable and easy to use. Power Diary has been all these things in the two weeks we have used it, and anything we couldn't use the team were an email (and a phonecall) away, fixing issues for us, helping us navigate and making our lives easier.

Pros

The flexibility of the product and the willingness of the support team to take on suggestions for improvement or tweaks that would improve functionality further.

Cons

Would love to drill down a bit more on the toggle restrictions but will be passing that suggestion on.

Better functionality. Cliniko came in a close second but was much clunkier and slower to use.

Very positive. I don't know what more I can say. I've used it for about 3-4 years and so far, it's done everything that I've needed it for.

Pros

The ability to charge clients cards and schedule their appointments is just so easy and really meets my expectations with a software.

Cons

As far as I know, there isn't really a way to charge clients cards without using stripe. I'd like to avoid the stripe processing fees if possible, or if there was some sort of Power Diary card reader, that would be amazing.

There was no choice if I'm honest. I trialed power diary and it was perfect from the start. I didn't hesistate in paying for it.

Power Diary has been great for me to keep all my client records in one place, organised and easy to access. It simplifies my life for me. The customer service is fantastic - I always get a helpful and friendly response to any queries with the day.

Cons

They are currently working on improving group appointment scheduling functionality.

### "Works ok - until it doesn't work - usually after an "improvement""

Assessed as the "best of a bad lot" when researching for purchase. Nothing has improved to alter that assessment. (Maybe its time to have another look). Certainly have resisted further Power Diary integrations, and using wider functionality - reliance on an organisation that doesn't care for quality is scary enough even with the limited functionality.

Pros

Easy to use for a lot of things - eg keeps the client that has been most recently used in one admin function at the top of the drop down for the next (different) function

Cons

Bugs introduced with "improvements", that can impact the reputation of the Practice as they are visible to patients/clients (eg in communication templates). Clearly no regression testing, or if so, it is slipshod.Customer support - we have tired of being told stuff was fixed when it is clearly not. Nowadays we don't waste our time raising issues for most thingsThe reporting options are weakDoesn't manage "Couples" as a client well - but no competitors do eaither

### "Poer Diary usage"

Positive, I have it open when I need, and I don't have to log on to get into it as the memory works well.

Pros

I can set appointments then forget that I need to remind them because the system reminds them

Cons

A bit tricky (as a sole trader with a bit of a social life) to use it as a personal diary, to put in the different activities, with whom etc I just block out those times I need away and hope I remember what they were for

It seemed the best, most suitable for my purposes at the time - and still is

### "Everything I need and nothing more!"

Pros

I love how easy it is to use the features. Theren't aren't a bunch of bells and whistles - just what I need to for this field. It's pretty easy to figure out how to use the platform even without using the tutorials. I use it for scheduling and for EMR and my Telehealth platoform.

Cons

It's a little difficult managing the form templates and other templates you might use.

Simple Practice isn't simple at all. I had it for almost 3 years and still had issues using the very basic features, but especially the billing side. It was a horrible experience!

Setup and management of the day-to-day processes are simple to manage.

Cons

I wish I had more features to play with. Is it possible to use a WhatsApp interface in addition to a text messaging interface.
