### "Syspeace is a great product to protect your email server from brute force password hacking"

August 20, 2020

5.0

I have had nothing but great experiences with Syspeace. The software works flawlessly 99% of the time. When I have run into an issue, I reach out to support and they immediately look into it and have written a beta version of the software for us several times that solves the issue and then later that fix is added to the main release for everyone else who has not yet had the issue we were facing.

Pros

My favorite part of the software is that it will only deny an account access to their email when it is either under attack or the user has a device sending an old password. In the past this would cause the entire account to lock in Active Directory which would deny the account access to everything.

Cons

If users share an IP, like with a home router, one user's device that is sending bad passwords can block everyone in the house from accessing their email. The software is only checking the IP the bad passwords are coming from rather than the username and IP

### "Syspeace Provides Peace of Mind"

September 15, 2020

5.0

Having an additional layer of security for brute-force login attempts that works without us having to think about it or constantly monitor it has been great. Support has also been great, when we have a question the response is relatively quick and always very complete (not a canned response like we often get from other vendors - "Have you turned it off and back on again?")

Pros

This software has been pretty much "Set it and forget it". It currently protects multiple customer servers and works night and day to help prevent brute-force login attempts on RDP, SQL Server and more. Syspeace also offers a .Net interface which allows us to make a simple HTTP POST and add someone to the black-list programmatically, which means that our applications can auto-ban someone if they break any rules that we create (example, if we see a lot of attempts \[often used as preliminary reconnaissance for break-in attempts\] we can ban the IP within that first couple of seconds of that attempt). Syspeace also has a console/dashboard that we can run locally to live-monitor the status of all servers where we have the software installed. Having a centralized blacklist from Syspeace (based on shared information) is helpful to block certain malicious traffic even if it has not yet hit one of your own servers. Auto-rejection of server login attempts based on GEO-IP information has also been very helpful for some of our clients.

Cons

There is very little to dislike here. The license renewal can be a bit confusing, but that is not the fault of Syspeace... it is the nature of having multiple server licenses where each has a different start and expire date, so not really a negative on the product itself.

Reason for choosing Syspeace

Ease-of-use and great support if we have any questions or problems.

### "Feeling after Syspeace trial"

August 11, 2021

4.0

I used the trial (really twice) and got very positive results. We have some critical web and file servers protected by anti-malware and a firewall but we use Syspeace like an additional security layer. After first trial expired I registered again because the tool was really helpful but unfortunally my boss doesn't approve the budget to purchase it. I know that the cost of any tool that protects your environment and/or data is really cheaper if you compare it to the cost of being attacked and loss your data or reputation.

Pros

I really like the ease of use, the console is small but very friendly, it has the basic you need to get the servers protected from brutal force attacks. I think this tool is cheaper compared to some other vendors.

Cons

The console is basic, maybe it could get some additional developement to make it more visual for the admins, but that doesn't affect the software performance.

### "Peace of Mind"

July 21, 2020

5.0

Fantastic support. Patient, responsive, thorough, even from all the way on the other side of the planet. It's been a really long time since I've had a business partner as thorough, engaged, and as participatory as the team at SysPeace.

Pros

I'm a software guy... a database guy... We recently deployed a Cloud server to allow the road warriors and remote developers a centralized location for data access and development. While we are aware of server security and firewalls, we were completely blown away by the VOLUME of security entries in the Event Log... Unmanagable, and frightening. Within 20 minutes of completing the order, SysPeace immediately brought peace of mind, visibility, and a hands-off reliable solution to stopping unwanted access to the server without days worth of Firewall configuration. Easy to use, easy to understand, effective, and reliable.

Cons

I love everything about the software, there really are no Cons. If I had to pick something I wish was better; I wish I had better analytics and reports about what was going on. I wish I could see more of this from the remote console without having to log into the server.

Reason for choosing Syspeace

Of all the other products I looked at, I could immediately understand what Syspeace did, and how it was going to solve my firewall block/management issues; the rule definition to define how you want to set up blocks could not be easier. The price was well below what I expected; I needed something I could deploy quickly. It turns out, this wasn't just a "quick pick", but a great choice. I sleep better knowing that SysPeace is standing at the gates making entries to the firewall as hackers attempt to access my public facing server remotely.

### "Stop Login Attacks"

July 20, 2020

5.0

Tech support has been excellent and a couple suggestions have been implemented. Syspeace taught us a lot about how we were being attacked and gave us suggestions about working with our hardware firewall to make our network more secure.

Pros

Syspeace has been used for a couple servers in our network, starting with SBS2008 running Exchange 2007. We knew that there were attempts to get into our system and we discovered patterns of alphabetical attempts as well as hit and run attempts that occurred days apart. The rules based system was able to stop many, but not all of the attempts at the IP address level. Our Windows 2019 Server and on-premise Exchange have been less prone to these attacks due to better security protocols and Syspeace has become a final line of defense.

Cons

With SBS2008, there were too many attacks that seemed to be coming from unknown sources and Syspeace could not deal with them. This was likely a shortcoming of SBS2008.

Reason for choosing Syspeace

Syspeace filled a security hole that we couldn't find any other solution to cover. We didn't realize how much it would help us until we tried it. Our event logs told us that we had a problem and Syspeace helped us to address it.

### "Prevents Brute-force attacks and provides insightful login reporting "

June 27, 2019

5.0

The Syspeace developers have been very open to working with us and our needs, implementing specific features we have requested. Using Syspeace has automated a task that would normally consume all of the time I would rather spend focusing on other things. Overall, their software is wonderful, it does everything we need it to do and then some.

Pros

If it were not for Syspeace, my job would consist of constantly tracking down and manually blacklisting constant brute-force attacks on our many remote-desktop servers, I would have no time for anything else! Syspeace provides a convenient interface to analyze the login history of your server so you can quickly determine the severity of an attack and lets you create new login rules to prevent a similar attack from occurring in the future.

Cons

Deploying Syspeace across a large number of servers with uniform rulesets has been a challenge for us. We have worked closely with the developers who were very quick to provide us with an 'Override settings' feature in their next version to address our issues. This is very much appreciated, however, we do still have some struggles with deploying the software completely automatically.

### "Frontline Firewall"

May 12, 2019

5.0

Syspeace comes with a default rule to help out blocking IP addresses which could be used in public production. For me though, it’s for personal use and used with a student project to prevent brute force attacks. When you get to know the system, it’s pretty straight forward, though I advise to steer clear of the emails if you want to avoid spam.

Pros

Syspeace offers a front line firewall as a pretty outstanding defence against brute-force and dictionary attacks against a web server. For my usage, I have strict rules which blocks bots and other attackers out there - most are bots and web crawlers, however I’m not even well known and there’s almost 1,000 IP addresses blocked fit to people or bots attempting to login to administrative accounts

Cons

Its a little pricey for what it offers, however it’s worth it when it comes down to tech support.

### "Finally a peace of mind"

September 16, 2020

5.0

Easy, great customer service, generous team that has even given us discounts on our non profit, fantastic value for the protection we get.

Pros

We really enjoy the security and the sense that if our router firewall fails, that syspeace has our server covered against all the incoming attacks

Cons

There really isn't anything we didn't like. The only thing we wish we could do is have temporary bans easily turn into permanent bans with multi selection. Otherwise everything is really well thought out.

Reason for choosing Syspeace

inexpensive software that is usually updated, vs. a very expensive piece of hardware that has expensive software that isn't updated as often as we wanted.

### "One of the best peace of mind security software's we recommend to our clients "

July 20, 2020

5.0

What is there to say, for the cost and the way it works, the products speaks for itself. It is an absolute must if you want stop Denial of Service attacks, keeps the bad guys out, let's the good guys in and leaves the burden of deciding who is good or bad off your server or workstation. Very little if any impact on server or workstation performance.

Pros

Very easy to setup and use on small and large networks. We have 50 to 100 clients using this software and if you are worried about Active Directory or a single PC being compromised get Syspeace period.

Cons

I cannot think of any cons. Product works wonderfully. Many clients are shocked by the number of attempts unscrupulous folks and countries are banging on their door.

Reason for choosing Syspeace

So easy to install and use for the purpose of blocking unwanted, attempted logins

### "Great tool for brute force attacks prevention"

July 20, 2020

5.0

Pros

it simply works, i deployed Syspeace on 7 web-servers, i work for a University with over 20K accounts, the number of brute force attacks were incredible and we experienced a lot of a downtime before. using Syspeace had eliminated most attacks and we noticed a great development on features for the past 2 years. in my opinion Syspeace is a great cost effective tool that really works especially if you don't have the features on your firewall.

Cons

not much, however there was a problem on using the latest Syspeace version with old Windows 2008R2 servers. but the support team had fixed it on the latest release and made my life easier.

### "Syspeace helps protect RDP servers"

August 21, 2020

5.0

We have some legacy configuration issues with our RDP servers from a previous contractor and the business is slow to fix these issues, Syspeace helped add a layer of protection for the interim

Pros

The blocking mechanism, the interface, ability to block with geolocation and set rules

Cons

Support can be unable to help with some issues, I had a server that has issues and while they lead me in the right direction, resolution did not work and I had to use another product, but in general I have had no problems except that one server

### "I didnt know my servers where so unprotected"

October 6, 2020

5.0

Greater security and less worry about attackers.

Pros

After noticing strange performance issues and unexpected database error I found out that random attacks occured on my server. When comparing products Syspeace seamed to cover my need so I trialed it. It was easy to trial and transparent in it's use. This combined with a great price makes it a pro.

Cons

When there was an update I had trouble updating it, but the service desk fixed it quickly.

Reason for choosing Syspeace

Better pay a bit more and have peace of mind.

### "Longtime Happy User"

July 20, 2020

5.0

It's been good for me and my clients. A short time ago, I had a server on AWS slow to a crawl. I found that there were thousands of failed login attempts, continually. After installing Syspeace, it stopped within minutes.

Pros

It finally gave me a tool in combating hackers. It does a great job of identifying and blocking IP addresses of bad actors trying to break into your servers. The blocking time and triggers are adjustable.

Cons

I was hoping for something cheaper but this is really a reasonable price for the security it gives.

### "Best Bang For The Buck"

July 20, 2020

5.0

Super Great, no complaints.

Pros

we used to manually block IP's from hackers, now the software does it for us. I just look everyday to see what countries are hounding the most, and i can laugh now, where we used to cry at all the extra work. Thanks much for this SW

Cons

I'd actually like to see a complete block of countries instead of it blocking them as they come in.

Some of my servers were being under intense brute force attacks. I spent several hours trying to find the root cause until a tech referred me to SysPeace. Cons

I have not found anything about this software that I don't like. If I do, I will send an email out to the company.
