### "A Beautiful and Functional Tablet with Great Support, but Mind the Mount"

Our overall experience with Joan Tablets has been very positive. The beautiful e-ink displays, fantastic battery life, and powerful features like the visitor management system make them a great solution for managing our office space. While the physical durability is a concern, the exceptional customer support has always been there to help, making them a worthwhile investment. I would highly recommend these, but with the caveat to place them somewhere they are unlikely to be bumped.

Pros

Joan makes fantastic tablets that have significantly improved our appointment management. We use about 15 of them, and they are beautiful and extremely easy to use, displaying upcoming meetings and the current meeting status at a glance. What I like most is the e-ink display; it's gorgeous and makes the tablet incredibly battery-efficient. We only need to charge them once a month or every two months. While the initial cost may seem steep, the value is justified by the incredible customer support we've received, which has resolved every issue we've had. Beyond meeting rooms, the visitor management system is a significant pro. It streamlines the check-in process, replacing manual sign-in sheets with a smooth, digital experience. Visitors can pre-register or sign in on the spot, and the system can automatically send notifications to the host's email, SMS, or via an app alert, ensuring they are promptly aware of their guest's arrival. This creates a much more professional and seamless first impression.

Cons

The biggest issue we've had is with the physical hardware. The magnets, while seemingly secure, allow the tablets to fall easily if they are gently bumped. On top of that, the case is prone to splitting or breaking upon impact. While we've been lucky that most have continued to function, this lack of durability is a concern.

### "Great App, very intuitive"

The over all experience is good, and I love the interface. Thank's God that until now it was not needed to contact the customer support, and that all works smoothly. I am really enjoying the App.

Pros

It is a very easy to use App, that allows you to book a free desk on a daily basis. As we are 60 people and only 30 desks, it is very important for us to have such an App. Each time when I go to the office I can choose my desk, do the Check In procedure remotely from my phone, and have my desk ready when I arrive. I can also see who is sitting in the office next to me in that specific day. The App works great without having any bugs nor issues, and did not provide any error until now. It is very usefull and a great value for money. Making an appointment is really easy and intuitive.

Cons

The load time of the application is sometimes too much. The App is very slow and I have to wait until the Map is loaded. When I go from one day to the next one, it takes a lot of time to load the map. Also, sometimes the App in the Windows EDGE Browser is slow and takes more than 10 seconds to load the map.

We have been using Joan for 8 years, with my oldest devices still being in full service. We have been in close contact with both Support Team and Sales Team at Joan for our customers with great success.

Pros

The thing i like the most, is the scalability, ease of use and also the installation is a breeze. Anyone can set up each device in minutes, regardless of experience. The value of the devices and the whole package is awesome. We have been using the Room booking and Visitor management in our office with great pleasure of our customers and staff

Cons

It still needs tenant administration for administrators with multiple locations / domains. Also some better management of administrator and user synchronization from Entra would be nice

Overall, I’m more than satisfied with Joan as a workplace booking platform. It really simplifies the whole process of organizing my workday, from choosing a desk to quickly checking who’s around in the office. I find that it not only saves me time but also improves collaboration, since I can easily plan to sit near the colleagues I need to work with. The interface is clean, intuitive, and makes the experience feel effortless, which is something I value a lot in tools I use every day. Even though there are the occasional small bugs with the desk status colors, they don’t outweigh the benefits at all. For me, Joan has become an essential part of the modern workplace setup, and I can genuinely recommend it to any team or company looking for a simple and effective solution.

Pros

What I really love is the simplicity of booking a desk or a workplace. It only takes a moment, and I can instantly see who’s in the office on a given day and where I might want to sit. It makes it so much easier to plan ahead and also to connect with the right colleagues. I also appreciate how clear the overview is, I don’t have to waste time checking with others or guessing, the system just gives me all the info I need right away.

Cons

Unfortunately, the system does sometimes bug out. Instead of desks showing up clearly as green (available) or red (occupied), they occasionally appear grey, which makes it confusing. Apart from that small issue, I honestly don’t see any other negative points.

Amazing, straight forward, no bugs whatsoever, quick support response time and the office work environment became better

Pros

Admin page is user-friendly and easy to maintain. Customer support always response in a quick manner, especially, \[sensitive content hidden\]! For the employees, they're happy with the system since it's easy to use and is simple to work around

Cons

No main floor plan layout. Since we have a big office, we're keen on adding a floor plan in the reception area so that the users know what rooms are booked or not.

Great, I have also used the support couple of times and it is prompt and helpful. Sales support too.

Pros

The e-display technology that is truly wireless and demands no constant power (which needs cabling), vs. the offerings based on tablets.

Cons

Well, the e-ink touchscreen technology is a bit laggy. Other thing that I would benefit from is more materials that I can use to "educate" the users to make the transition from post-it notes to Joan meeting room reservation solution and to start using the system and respecting other's reservations, etc.

We have implemented Joan Conference Room booking feature for all our conference rooms with no issues till now . Joan App is very easy to use with the Joan devices showing true value for money. The customer support has been very helpful for easy configuration and prompt response. Visitor management and notifications come in real time making it more efficient

Cons

Joan devices does not support multi colour resolution to make it look more attractive. Joan devices should have more analyics about the rooms and which user books the room

Pros

It's available both - from PC and as a phone app. Easy to book a spot, change and cancel a booking. I like the option that you can book only half a day.

Cons

The filter options can not be saved permanently (e.g. preferred floor). It could be beneficial to get reminders if no spot is booked a certain period in advance.

I wouldn’t say liking least, I initially struggled with deleting a seat and rebooking another. Not anymore!

The traffic light systems for seats is useful for a first glance. Block booking functionality is also very helpful.

If you don't check-in at your desk I think it should release the desk back but you have to actually delete the booking for it to go Green again - not sure why...

Once I learned the layout of the main page, it was easy to reserve a workstation or office. It was also easy to manage that reservation as well. Quick and easy.

Pros

Joan is easy to log into and reserve a desk or office for work. I like that I can see the office layout. It makes it easy to choose not only the type of workspace I would like to reserve but also the location in the office of the space I want to reserve.

Cons

The main page is a little bit confusing to navigate initially to reserve a space. Once I took a few minutes to navigate the page, I was able to easily use Joan.

### "Best roomreservartion system ever "

During our growth we encountered several issues with our meetingrooms. Double bookings, ghost meetings etc. Even while all users could check the room calendars they didn't. Having a physical, low maintance device with the current and next meetings right at the room is a huge improvement. Customers love to see the appointment on the Joan.

Pros

Easy to use, set it up and forget about it. It just runs. Just make sure the Joan gets charged once in a while and you don't have to do any maintance. The setup is maybe 15 minutes of work and even the advanced stuff is easy to setup.

Cons

Well it's not a huge deal but when setting up and configuring stuff (making test appointments and so on) it takes some time to see if everything is working. There is no realtime feedback, but thats in the nature of the product.

### "Awesome way to manage your meeting resources"

While having some troubles with initial setup help has been provided quickly and in very professional manner. Can't praise their support team enough. From admin perspective, all integrations are done in few simple steps. From user perspective it is simple and almost invisible (we integrated Joan with GSuite calendar system). Recently provided Slack bot just added another layer of functionality for them as well. Admin panel on VM (we host on premises) provides sufficient and clear overview of the state of devices on the network. In the end, this is clear and cost effective solution to manage your meeting space.

Pros

Once setup properly, it is almost zero maintenance if you wish. My users found it easy to use, slack integration works great. It is for years part of our office ecosystem.

Cons

That it can't be totally hosted on premises, there are still parts that require setting up outside of our infrastructure.

Reason for choosing Joan

Simplicity of the setup, working time between the charges, cost effectiveness, ability to host on premises (limited as it is, proven to be enough to suffice our needs).
