Pros Incredibly easy to deploy and apply patches, and I like that the login isn’t hidden away on the website in favour of new sign ups. Cons It would be great if you could filter updates knowing that they wouldn’t require a reboot, we could schedule those more frequently in that case. Easy to deploy software updates and patches to endpoints regardless of location. Being free for <100 endpoints certainly halps small businesses. Really very satisfying. Pros The first thing is the graphical interface, very clear and simple, which allows a very small learning curve. The second thing is that everything he does is done well, without errors and easy. Additionally, the ability to configure custom scripts facilitates easy actions and deployments. And, for me, the best is the remote access software, integrated, simple, easy and just what we need to operate our environment. It accepts cmd and ps1 scripts, you can deploy your own software. Its great. Pros The product is very easy to use, you can do a 1 time setup and leave it if required, it is helping me stay compliant with our ISO27001 standards Cons Customization of the data headers. Sometimes it would be beneficial to add columns to deployments so you can see additional information. I.E PC name shows when the deployment phase starts but no user name. The offer of 100 free endpoints with full-feature access convinced us to upgrade and manage our entire IT estate. It was key in helping us achieve and maintain Cyber Essentials Plus certification. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Action1 to others. It is far superior to anything else we’ve tried and offers excellent value for money. Pros 100 free endpoints with full-feature access. Easy deployment of software and Windows updates across the entire estate. Clean and user-friendly interface. Cons No Linux support currently (though it is reportedly in development). June 30, 2025 5.0 I discovered Action1 as someone's reference on Reddit. I installed and tried it with only two computers. I was amazed at how powerful and yet easy to use this product is. I have about 300 computers to manage, 180 of them use Windows 11, and I am planning on expanding to around 220 soon. I am the IT Director at a K12 school, and this product has made my daily life simpler. Thank you! Their competitors wanted a lengthy service contract and couldn't scale down to what we initially needed. After trying Action1 and working with their sales team I knew that I had found a winner. The 100 free endpoints is such a generous offering, it's such an invaluable service and has already saved our organization hundreds of hours. If you're reading this review I urge you to try it, you have nothing to lose - it's so easy to deploy, you'll wonder how you managed without it. Pros It does everything, every aspect of patching, remote installation of applications, scripting, providing alerts, reporting and remote access. The 100 endpoints offering (which is free forever) is so unbelievably generous too. Excellent support - I tried others but Action1 won hands down. Cons There isn't an a dedicated app for cell devices but that's a minor complaint. It really feels like Action1 is too good to be true. It has good reporting and the use of some of the scripts are really helpful Cons Didnt seem to pick up all vulnerabilities for an audit we completed. but it had reduced the amount of vulnerabilities significantly from other products i have used. On the updates pane, approving updates could be better as you have to confirm that you want to deny older updates every time. The platform is incredibly easy to set up and use, making it accessible even for those with limited technical expertise. The free offering for up to 100 endpoints is a huge plus, especially for small businesses looking to manage their patching needs without incurring additional costs. The real-time vulnerability assessment and comprehensive patch management ensure that all systems are up-to-date and secure. However, the lack of support for macOS and Linux is a drawback. Despite these minor cons, Action1 is a powerful and efficient tool for managing endpoint security. I'd highly recommend as this product it is what I required in terms of patch management solution, unlike alternative products where they have multiple products in 1 solution which is too much and costly for features not required. Pros I liked the fact it monitors vulnerabilities near real time which helps us address and remediate them. It helps me patch Windows and 3rd party applications with ease as is quite user-friendly. Public roadmap with voting feature helps us know what is being prioritized in terms of features and new releases. Cons No integration with Intune or App, I needed to create a Win32 app which isn't too much of a big deal but could be better in that sense. Limited to Windows at the minute although MacOS is due soon and Linux in the near future as per their roadmap.
