### "Action 1 Review"

December 20, 2024

5.0

Very positive. It's head and shoulders above other patch management solutions.

Pros

Love the way it inventories software, ease of use and pretty detailed for patch management. They offer 100 free licenses to use to test out the product.

Cons

I really like the product. I don't have anything significant I can state that I like least. Occasionally (as a backup I test with patchmypc) or CCleaner which may find a miss here and there, but very few and far between.

### "Automated patching made easy"

September 9, 2024

5.0

The migration to Action1 from our previous patch management solution was painless, and completed within a few days. Immediately we noticed an improvement in patching effectiveness, and our Nessus vulnerabilities started declining thanks to the automated patching process that goes off of the number of days since release. We have multiple tiers of patching groups setup with each installing patches 1 day after release, then 5, then 10. Ensuring a complete patch rollout within two weeks of release.

Pros

Extremely easy to use, automated patch deployment based on # days since release. No more manually approving updates through the environment.

Cons

Vulnerability management features can be overwhelming.

### "Action1 quickly became an essential tool on our IT toolbelt"

September 20, 2024

5.0

Action1 changed how my IT team does business. It gave us so much transparency and insight into our network endpoints, and at the same time gave us the tools to fix our problems and streamline our workflow.

Pros

Action1 is incredibly easy to setup and hit the ground running. It gives you immediate insight into your environment's vulnerabilities so you know where to focus your attention.

Cons

While Action1 is always improving as a product, it is still missing some features that I need other tools to accomplish. However, many of those features are on the product roadmap, so I am eagerly awaiting their arrival.

### "Amazing Software - Works Like a Charm!!"

March 27, 2025

5.0

Wonderful - set it and forget it. We can, at a glance, identify security risks and work to remediate them with a click of a button. I absolutely love this product.

Pros

Fantastic product - works like a charm and takes so much headache form patch management from an IT perspective.

Cons

Not much honestly - wish we could incorporate firmware etc. but that's not really the focus of this tool.

### "Action1 is great!"

Pros

I liked the centralized management, vulnerability detection, automated patch management, and user-friendly interface of Action1. What's even better is that it is all free for our small org.

Cons

I wish I could get email updates with update automation results.

### "Best patch Management for Windows that can be had!"

September 18, 2024

5.0

We’re very pleased to be working with A1 and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I’ve used many other products for patch and vulnerability management, and they’re all inferior to this one.

Pros

The ease of setup is unsurpassed and we always feel like the product works as expected. Very pleased after 2+ years.

Cons

They almost sold to another vendor and we knew that would change the quality and ethos of the product. Thankfully that did not happen. No Linux or macOS support.

### "Simple the best"

September 19, 2024

5.0

It's the best tool I already used for inventory and patch management purposes.

Pros

The Vulnerabilities assessment, and the patch management - both works super well. The deploy via Active Directory deployer is also great!

Cons

I believe the inventory could bring some extra information, and I have some trouble to understand local users inventory.

### "Action1 - big win for small business"

September 13, 2024

5.0

Overall my experience with Action1 has been nothing but positive. It is easy to learn and implement. A must have for small business or non-profits

Pros

I have been researching Action1 for some time and have finally had the opportunity to implement them in several environments. Having the ability to easily manage separate entities has been an awesome experience.

Cons

I wish Action1 had more remote management tools. Remote command line is top of that list.

### "A fantastic entry into the RMM environment"

August 1, 2024

5.0

The business model for Action1 is fantastic, the 100 free endpoints forever was a fantastic hook to get us to give the product a go and from there we have been using it daily for years. When our company outgrew the 100 endpoint limit, it was a no brainer to sign up to for a paid plan and the pricing is extremely competitive. We trialed other products, most of which were very expensive, usually because they include PSA or other "addons" which we just do not need as a business.

Pros

The deployment agent was incredibly easy to install and within minutes all of our online endpoints had been onboarded onto the platform. The remote control tool, while basic is by far the most reliable tool i have used on an RMM platform and have never had issues connecting to and endpoint. The inbuilt reports are fantastic and the ability to create a custom report from basically any dataset that is captured by Action1 has been brilliant. For us the best part has been the ability to upload our custom enterprise application installers and provide the correct flags, switches and post install scripts to run automatically on endpoints, it took setting up a new work station from a multi-hour job, to a few clicks.

Cons

The user interface is a little but clunky in places and there are a few QOL features that could be improved upon, such as ability to customise the visible columns on the Endpoint overview, or easily view which endpoints are currently not allocated to a group. Though most of the issues i have are minor and some are in progress to be deployed in their roadmap.

### "10/10 recommend. "

September 9, 2024

5.0

Wonderful. Their customer service is friendly and knowledgeable. The admin site is set up to be easy to use.

Pros

The automation of services. Find and adding end points and scheduling software updates helps keep vulnerabilities in our company to a minimum.

Cons

Once you have approved updates, I am unsure how to reverse them. It might be possible, but I haven't taken the time to figure it out.

### "a must for any organisation that requires straightforward endpoint and patch management"

September 23, 2024

5.0

Action1 makes it easy to ensure security compliance across all our devices in our organisation. It provides us with the necessary tools to identify and remedify vulenrabilities, updates, and statuses of our devices.

Pros

The best thing about action1 is the ease of deployment. All it takes is a simple, single installation and all is ready. After that installing updates, applying policies, and automating all of it becomes a breeze.

Cons

Honestly, we have not found a single thing to dislike about Action1. Meets and exceeds all our needs.

### "Excellent tool for patching, deploying and managament"

September 10, 2024

5.0

Great service, excellent documentation. In just few hours You can use it with confidence. Also very important thing - the stuff is active on-line: newsletters, e-mails, reddit. You can feel that it isn't just another company but they have some mission and clear goals to achieve.

Pros

This is the most useful tool I'm using in my work. Small government so budget is tight but the first 100 endpoints is free. Also GDPR compliance! I love it! Read the excellent manual and in few days I've a automated patching for endpoints for vendors which I accept. I deploy custom apps for endpoints, run powershell commands. Use it daily now as my main dashboard to see what's with endpoints in my organization. I can't praise enough the easy of deployment in the organization and great documentation and FAQ.

Cons

In my short time with the tool I didn't find any cons, maybe one thing - would love to see more scripts in the library. The one I found are extremely useful.

### "Action1 is a breath of fresh air for anyone struggling with keeping their systems up-to-date."

July 18, 2024

5.0

Overall, Action1 is a user-friendly and powerful patch management solution. It's a strong choice for anyone looking to streamline security updates and take control of their network health, especially for those with smaller environments.

Pros

Simple and Affordable: Action1 offers a free tier for up to 100 devices, making it perfect for small businesses or personal use. Even paid plans are competitively priced. Powerful Patch Management: Action1 goes beyond basic patching. You can see individual updates for each application, allowing you to avoid potentially risky ones while ensuring overall security. Scheduling automated patching ensures your systems stay protected without constant manual intervention. Easy on Users: The lightweight agent installs quickly and runs silently in the background. Unlike some patchers, Action1 doesn't bombard users with notifications or restarts.

Cons

I would like to have the ability to add/remove columns of information on the dashboard and endpoint screens (such as remove 'Added by' column and add 'Uptime') and also the current lack of IOS and LINUX support but i understand this is on its way.

### "Great features at a low cost"

September 19, 2024

5.0

Overall, I believe the pros out weight the cons. If your a small IT department with a very small budget Action1 provides services at little to no cost. The remote service works fine and I love the idea that I can patch my devices without breaking the bank

Pros

Interface is easy to use and understand. The free version grants all features an IT department needs.

Cons

Patch management needs tuning. It seems some patches fail or never start. I have tried to remove a program via Remediation, but the software never uninstalls

### "Action1 is number 1 for patching :)"

September 9, 2024

5.0

Smooth sailing, no issues at all. It has never missed a beat.

Pros

Does an excellent job of automating all Windows patches as well as apps like Browsers, pdf programs etc. I've never had 1 issue with failed updates in over 2 years. The free 100 user accounts are a fantastic way to evaluate the system, start small and see how it goes!

Cons

It would be nice to have an OSX version, but on its way apparently. But no big deal as we are a 99% windows shop.

### "Action1 is a must have Sysadmin tool"

September 10, 2024

5.0

Extremely positive. Updates are no longer a hit and hope situation.

Pros

Simply put, it just works. As a business we wanted to be able to control our update schedules a bit better, but as the lone IT person I didn't really have the chance to setup and babysit a WSUS Server to do this. Action1 has made my admin life much easier.

Cons

Maybe I haven't come across them but a few guides and explanations for things. Took a while to remove the angry reds from my dashboard!

### "Great Product that sticks to what it does best!"

September 19, 2024

5.0

Overall, I have been very pleased with Action1. They are also very active in the Reddit community and quick to answer questions that people may have. You also cant beat free for the first 100!

Pros

Action1 is straight forward, intuitive and well thoughtout to navigate. This made adoption into our environment a breeze. Since discovering Action1, and have sang its praises in my inner IT circle!

Cons

I will be nit picking here, but the auto grouping of devices was a bit clunky with all the different versions of Windows and it wasnt working for me. But easy enough to move them around after.

Overall, Action1 is appreciated for its scalability, flexibility, and ability to adapt to varying organizational needs and IT environments. While there may be areas for improvement, such as simplifying the learning curve and enhancing integration capabilities with third-party tools, the platform generally receives positive feedback for its comprehensive feature set and its ability to streamline IT management processes.

Pros

Action1 stands out for its comprehensive feature set, strong emphasis on security and automation, usability, and scalability. These qualities make it a valuable tool for modern IT management, enabling organizations to optimize efficiency, enhance security posture, and deliver reliable IT services effectively.

### "Action1 Review"

August 6, 2024

5.0

Pros

Ease of setup and clear roadmap of future features.

Cons

The feature set is perhaps not as robust as other options but this is counteracted by the cost and roadmap showing clear improvements.

Reason for choosing Action1

Ultimately cost and the reduced feature set. Other products had many other features we weren't ready to use but were required to get the patch and vulnerability management.
