### "Game-Changer for IT Management"

March 31, 2025

5.0

Pros

Action1 has been a game-changer for our IT management needs. The platform is intuitive, fast, and incredibly efficient at streamlining patch management and remote monitoring. Its cloud-based design means we can manage endpoints from anywhere, without the hassle of VPNs or on-prem servers. Deployment was straightforward, and we were up and running in no time. The real-time visibility into system health and software inventory has drastically improved our ability to stay ahead of potential issues. One of the standout features is the automated patching, which has saved us countless hours and improved our security posture significantly. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, making routine tasks simple even for less experienced staff. Action1’s reporting capabilities are robust and help us meet compliance standards effortlessly. Customer support has been responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to assist when needed. A special thanks to \[sensitive content hidden\] for his exceptional service. He was always responsive, attentive, and made the entire setup process a breeze. I also appreciate the regular feature updates—they clearly listen to user feedback and are committed to continuous improvement. For any organization looking to modernize their endpoint management, Action1 is a reliable and cost-effective solution. Highly recommended. Paul Wojcieszak, IT Architect, Paydens LTD, Maidstone, UK

Cons

### "My Action1 experience"

Pros out way cons. Intuitive and easy to use. Deployed and started testing in less than an hour. Useful stats, and good vulnerability information.

Pros

Excellent patching from Operating system to Applications. Easy agent deployment Easy access to information about operating system versions. Great for identifying vulnerable installations. Remote access software doesn't require extra installation steps.

Cons

Don't like not being able to configure agent action on window supdate take over. Remote access software does not have session access option (ie , select logged on user in RDS server. Would like to see a task scheduler to perform daily actions such as power down and wake on lan.

### "FANTASTIC!!!"

October 2, 2025

5.0

Way better than LANsweeper and free! Much easier to setup and deploy, 100% cloud based, no complaints! We are already much more secure patched and up to date. Thanks Action1!

Pros

Super easy to setup and deploy. Did it in a few hours. It is free for up to 200 endpoints and extended to 400 for vulnerability for a limited time. I love the automations and actions very easy to get our systems much more patched and up to date

Cons

Nothing so far, if I had to say anything I would just say that you have to go in and clean up the automations and give them unique names or else you end up with a bit of a graveyard for things you only run one time.

Cost, bugs, poor support. The price for lansweeper nearly quadrupled over the last 4-6 years and new features are paywalled under an even higher tier.

### "Action1 Patching Software - AMAZING"

March 27, 2025

5.0

Fantastic. I have had no pressure from Sales/Marketing staff from Action1trying to hard-sell other licensing or products. They have touched base to make sure I am happy with the product (which I am). The product is so good I actually feel bad that I am using it for free as I have less than 200 endpoints to manage. Amazing product and works well with Intune.

Pros

Pricing for less than 200 endpoints is free. The software is easy to install and manage. The admin interface is intuitive and easy to use. Has further features such as scripting, reporting and alerts. I have had NO issues using Action1 and is an amazing tool.

Cons

If I had to be picky documentation could be a little better for the other features of Action1. However, the main feature of Action1 is Patching, and it does this amazingly well.

Reason for choosing Action1

We tool advantage of Intune once we moved to a premium license, however the patching/updates side of things was very slow to push out to clients. Action1 was perfect to add as it was extremely well priced (Free!)

### "Good platform with a lot of nice features"

September 11, 2025

4.0

Overall we have had a good experience with Action1. The patching and inventory tools are much more intuitive than other platforms that we explored. Excited to see some of the roadmap items come into productions.

Pros

Action1 was key in us achieving a patching strategy for our organisation. We found that Action1 was much more effective at patching (both through product-coverage and time to deploy) against our other solutions.

Cons

We primarily use Action1 to manage remote-workers on BYOD and there are some features that could be more controllable. For example, the platform shows network connections on the machine in real-time. In BYOD scenarios, it could be good to disable this to respect BYOD users' privacy.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Action1

Action1 feels more responsive and carries out actions more quickly. The system also allows greater insight into the progress of operations.

### "Plug and Play Greatness For a Growing SMB"

June 30, 2025

5.0

Being in a fairly small company (apprx: 150 endpoints) that had no patch management solution in place prior to this, I'd say that getting Action1 implemented was the easiest project I've had since I started here a year ago. The Remote Assistance tool is just plug and play, no setup to speak of at all. I have to admit, I feel a little guilty that we are getting all of this for free. I'm looking forward to breaking the 200 endpoint barrier in teh next year and subscribing to a tool that is 100% worth the investment.

Pros

Action1 quickly became our single pan of glass for patching, software deployment and remote assistance. The platform has been very stable and responsive. For remote assistance we previously used AnyDesk and their implementation of UAC control was a nightmare. It's a non-issue with Action1.

Cons

Occasionally the dashboard counts and statistics lag behind by a few minutes, but that's most likely some I see because I spend a lot of time using the portal each day.

### "Fantastic Product and Support"

June 30, 2025

5.0

Overall, the product works well and allows for easy remote support and maintenance of PCs and MACs. I have been using the product for nearly 6 months and have found the product reliable and the support staff friendly and knowledgeable. Also, according to the upcoming features page, the Linux client will be out soon.

Pros

Patch Management in Action1 is easy and comprehensive. Remote control is a nice added bonus. Further the 200 clients are perfect for corporate trials or supporting family and friends. Every quarter, Action1 seems to release new features. Many of the features we were looking for have been added in just the 4-5 months we have been using the product.

Cons

The "entity" breakdowns in the console are nice; however, it currently does not allow for enterprise wide actions. This is a feature they are working on, but for now actions must be performed per entity.

### "All Patched Up"

February 14, 2025

5.0

Action1 is easy to use, every option is clear and there's quite a lot of customisation options, setting automations is really clear - had very few issues, anything we throw at it "just works" monitoring the history, errors are clear and easy to work through.

Pros

Really simplifed our patching needs as well as offering live vulnerability data in an easy to digest format, it has helped us to gain visibility across our organisations and provide our technicians with additional tools to support their roles.

Cons

Not having dashboard reporting, this is on their backlog so may not be an issue but having some high level reports suitably formatted for key decision makers would provide some value to a lot of users of Action1, you can connect via PowerBi and configure this data so it's not a major negative but having something baked in would streamline everything.

Reason for choosing Action1

The pricing structure suited us better, having a device amount meant we had a static cost each year, whereas staffing fluctuated. It had the core features we needed but also contributed to our Cybersecurity strategy in a clear visible way, the other solutions could do this but it would be a more reactive process, having clear linked CVE's etc allows us to give assurances to our audit processes etc.

### "Action1 - Everyday Lifesaver"

September 9, 2025

5.0

I use Action1 every single day and would be lost without it, there are features such as software deployment which I haven't yet used but I know it will be a life saver in the future.

Pros

I like how easy the agent is to deploy and how reliable it is to deploy updates and remote into clients. The 200 free agents give great value for money.

Cons

I feel like the reports could be better laid out but that is a really small con, they are still easily accessible.

### "UK Education - IT review"

July 1, 2025

5.0

Our overall experience with Action1 has been very positive. It has significantly improved how we manage patching and monitor endpoints across the organization.

Pros

Action1 is incredibly easy to deploy and manage across a wide range of endpoints, making patch management and remote scripting seamless. The cloud-based interface is intuitive, responsive, and doesn’t require a complex infrastructure setup. One of the standout features is the real-time visibility into endpoint status and compliance, which helps us stay on top of critical updates and security issues. Additionally, the automation and scheduling features save significant time, and the support team is responsive and knowledgeable.

Cons

While Action1 is a powerful platform, some of the reporting features could be more customizable, especially for organizations that need detailed compliance outputs tailored to internal policies

June 30, 2025

5.0

We are a very small telephone Co-op with a very small IT staff. Trying to keep everything patched to current levels and making sure programs do not have huge security issues was overwhelming. Action1 made it very simple and quick to get our systems up to date!

Pros

The cost, being under 200 units and the product being free and not just a gutted and limited version but a full blown service is truly amazing.

Cons

I have not found one yet! So far everything that the platform advertises is available and ready to use. No hidden trials or any nonsense like that.

### "Action1, THE Patch Management Solution"

December 20, 2024

5.0

My experience with Action1 has been fantastic. It just works so well. Patch management just works. Applications update without any issues. OS updates can be pushed/deployed how you like it. No other patch management solutions come close with Action1's ease of use.

Pros

There are so make positives of Action1. For starters, they have a strong stance on ICO and SOC compliance (Which makes compliance very happy). The patch management is powerful but also simple and intuitive to understand. I love the fact they are always improving and adding new features to the platform.

Cons

Action1, with all of its positives, do have some minor problems. An example is the remote desktop feature. It works well, but it is quite limited. There is no direct file transferring and switching displays on multi-monitor setups is very finicky. Though Action1 is not tailored for remote connections/assistance (Hence the title "Patch Management"). It does work in a pinch to connect to devices.

### "Replaced Itarian with Action1 with great results and highly recommend"

December 20, 2024

5.0

Otherwise I'm totally sold on this product and would advise others to try it and see for themselves what It's capable of doing for them and saving time supporting your network.

Pros

Easy to use and install to all my workstations and run updates when needed without running around when problems arise. Remote access to clients make it a breeze to find issues like when it was last rebooted,or updated. I switched from Itarian after the free use ended and had issues with support frequently on logging in and took days to resolve it.

Cons

FTP-The only thing I missed from the transfer from Itarian was the ability to access folders from each machine to move user files to replacement PCs that I was working on. I have to dump the files on a flash drive and manually go back and forth from the dept the PC is in to transfer to new PC in my workroom. It was a lot easier to do installs from my tech folder file to transfer to the PC i was working on.

### "I recommend using Action 1 "

July 1, 2025

5.0

Pros

My favourite thing about action 1 would of course have to be the generous offering of free endpoints. It's perfect for us, and a close second favourite feature is the remote access capability. It’s incredibly smooth and reliable, allowing me to manage devices from anywhere without the hassle of setting up additional tools. Whether I need to deploy scripts, run diagnostics, or just check on system health.

Cons

The only issue I've encountered with action 1 is on one occasion, programs like Zoom, when updating, lose the ability to update by themselves (manually) and have to be reinstalled, but this has been a rare encounter and is a quick fix, especially considering all the time saved deploying updates remotely.

### "Great tool that should be in EVERY toolbox"

September 9, 2025

5.0

Excellent, thorough, confidence-building ease of use, I love it. It even allows for a quick start with the first 200 endpoints so you can truly test the product and decide on your own.

Pros

Ease; from initial setup to deployment, it is so easy. The process of updates is also incredible. It is a wonderful tool and I literally had my first node updating within 10 minutes of account registration.

Cons

Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Action1. It has significantly streamlined our IT operations, improved endpoint security, and reduced manual workload. For companies looking for a scalable and cloud-native endpoint management solution, Action1 is an excellent choice

Pros

The platform is incredibly easy to use and intuitive, even for teams without deep technical expertise. I especially appreciated the real-time patch management and the ability to deploy updates across multiple endpoints simultaneously. 5.0

Amazing value and has allowed me to get rid of my problematic WSUS. It also does some MAC stuff, but less great than how it handles Windows Devices.

Pros

Third party application updates done faily easily. It finds most all of the third party stuff and makes approving it easy. unusual or custom programs can be added but that ends up being pretty hands on, but better than patching dozens by hand.

Cons

Can't cancel updates that have already started, which includes if you accidentally added the reboot after patching function to a server or group of PCs that should stay on during the day.

### "First experiences with action1"

July 1, 2025

5.0

It is difficult to describe in 1-2 words. Since we continue to use it, the product is very good. We have tried alternatives. Action1 is better than other products, it seems to have shortcomings or we could not use it fully. It would be very good if we could get inventory information like snipe-it and glpi. The use of scripts in its own portal is limited, it would be good if it could be developed upon requests. video narrated applications like in manageengine helpdesk would be good for ease of use.

Pros

the agent is easy to install, then you can see the device in the administration panel. after releasing updates, the user is immediately prompted to reboot the computer. it's nice to get fast results

Cons

in cases where it gives an error, we do not have detailed information about the causes. could be improved

### "Action1 - A great tool to manage endpoints "

July 1, 2025

5.0

I just have to thank you for how fantastic the Action1 tool is. I can manage more than 100 computers in just one place, install and uninstall software, and all of this with no cost (the first 200 endpoints).

Pros

The tool is fantastic! What makes Action1 a great tool is that it is completely free for 200 devices/computers. This is great for small and medium-sized companies that need software to control hardware/software inventory, in addition to allowing you to connect to an Active Directory server to search for machine information and even perform deployment on machines. You can create organizations and groups to separate machines, deploy software to endpoints, and connect to endpoints remotely. All of this in a cloud access!

Cons

I would like Action1 had multiple languages. I can help translate into Brazilian Portuguese if necessary!
