It offers a fast, user friendly data processing connection to the internet. It is very easy to use and easily navigatable. Cons It doesn't show much information as needed, it also is not very safe, especially for incognito and private browsing. It's save page function is greatly lacking in quality and it doesn't have a good privacy mode. December 12, 2018 4.0 Overall, this works with great ease, once I figured out how to work it. Pros OK, so I just go a new phone and it has Bing Visual Search on it. I did not know what it was, so I had to have one of my kids show me how to use it. Wow, it's amazing and scary at the same time. If I want to find something I can just take a picture of it and it shows me what it is and/or where to buy it. Cons I'm an older generation, and I needed one of my 20 something children to show me what it was about. Which is not a bad thing, just that it was something that I knew nothing about and it was a selling point on the phone I just purchased. Great way to do background checks. Pros Once you figure out how to copy and paste images into the search function, it's a cool way to find things with an image. Makes it easy to find people you see in online pictures. Cons I don't like the lack of privacy aspect. Now, I am paranoid that somebody can screen grab an image of me and look up my personal details. Cons The "paste image or url search" (usually a reverse search) is less of a traditional reverse image search and more of a "find similar images" search. Compared to other search engines like google where it provides millions of results about the keywords most of them being irrelevant. What I like most about bing visual search is their bing webmaster tools which helps website owners and bloggers easily track their website performance hence increasing page ranking on bing visual search, and get many traffic. Also bing visual search team has a very good customer services you can chat with the customer support through twitter or even talk with their customer support directly on phone which helps clients problem being solved more faster. Cons The bing visual search has a very low users approximately. 900 millions monthly visits while google with over 1billion daily visits hence Making content creators like webmasters focus on google Rankings to improve their Traffic leaving bing visual search hence some keywords can lack more information since publishers opt for their information to be displayed on google search results. Pros What I love about using the Bing Visual Search software is first I am a Bing rewards member. I use Bing to earn Microsoft rewards each day. Visual Search is included so I can search images I have already saved on my computer and earn rewards on those wallpapers recipes or other things. Now if you don't use Microsoft rewards, you can still find Bing visual Search very helpful to find information about images. I am going to give an example of dating sites. You want to know if the picture is fake on a profile, so you search that image and it will show you where this image is posted at if it was taken from the internet and used and that way you can weed out fake profiles! Another good thing you can search for recipes. You see a photo of this delicious cake but there's no recipe attached to it. So search the image with Bing to find that recipe on the internet! There are so many positive ways to use a Visual Search engine. Microsoft has done this right. Cons I would say that platform could look more appealing. The UI is more of a plain text and could use its own page that's nicely interfaced out with colors or bold text to make it stand out to the users. It is very plain Jane right now. Pros This feature helps you find specific images that you want to search for. I have been using this for some time now and it helps me to be able to search for art, products, letters, and even landmarks. I have mainly used it to find more information for my school. Cons At times, the images that you do search for does not give you the results that you are looking for. But you do get images that are similar but not the exact ones you are wanting. If you're looking for a product, Amazon image search is brilliant. I don't recommend you begin with this software. Pros The software is easy to use, whether you're on a mobile device or your software. You can either paste a link to an image or you can upload an image from your machine and Bing will "search" the web for images similar to yours. If you're searching for an image that's already on the web, you're in great shape - results come back within seconds. Cons This software really only works to search the web. Say you're at the grocery store and you want to identify a type of apple you've never seen before. You snap a pic and send it to Bing. Well, Bing's not going to tell you what the apple is. It's only going to tell you that it's an apple, and will show you other pictures of apples whether they be gala or granny Smith. That's a strange example, but suffice to say that this software only works if you're looking for an image that's already been published on the web. To test this out, I tried it just now. I took a picture of my car's steering wheel - it's a Pontiac - and submitted it to Bing. I wish there were some sort of statement of purpose there or some idea how Bing Visual Search is different from Google Image Search or TinEye. Pros It was easy to use. The buttons for sourcing the images were clear. I uploaded a screenshot from Riddick and Bing Visual Search knew it was Vin Diesel and what movie it was from. Opening up visual search to developers to build skills into the service is admirable and interesting. Cons I uploaded a screenshot from Dark Phoenix, a headshot of Beast. Bing returned all sorts of 16x9 screenshots of moody portraits of dudes and women, but no Beast. On a couple images, just randomly uploaded from my hard drive, Bing returned no results. I think the site itself is the default WordPress theme which I thought was funny. Jumping to the skills section leaves the main site behind and there were no links to the homepage. Also, weird.
