Pros The recruitment side of Assemble has revolutionised our processes for onboarding new volunteers, the process is straight forward and user friendly both for volunteers and for those recruiting them. We have regular and clear communications and the Access groups approach to customer success cannot be faulted. We are already looking forward to what the future will bring for Macmillan. Pros The user friendly nature of the system is a real advantage and the ability to configure certain elements and tailor it's use to our business needs is a huge positive. It gives us the opportunity to have the management of our volunteers all in one place. Cons The event functionality in the system is clunky and doesn't give the best user experience. This is impacting our ability to engage with staff members to use the system dispute all it's other benefits. The platform is easy to use and the customer support has been super. Pros The self service aspects of the platform along with the recruitment functionality are powerful bits of the software that we're really benefiting from. Volunteers are also able to use the Assemble app which is easy to install and use. In undertaking our product scoping it was these parts of Assemble that were the big plus and ultimately why we chose to implement it. The support we've received from the our Assemble rep has been super. We have met weekly all through the implementation phases and we've worked closely to build and deliver our implementation plan. Cons We haven't been able to use the diversity information collected on the platform to support our work to provide a more inclusive volunteering offer. We are however pleased that the Assemble team are always receptive to issues and further develop the platform based on customer feedback. Having been in volunteering development for many years, the few options for volunteer management software was a major constraint - along with the lack of understanding within charities that volunteers can't be squished into CRM or HR software. With Assemble the volunteers' and volunteer managers' needs are really understood and answered. Volunteers want something easy to use that is of interest to them, not just a place to update their contact details. Being able to provide the tools and networking capabilities for them in a safe and legal way is absolutely fantastic. With Assemble we can let volunteers tell us what they're interested in, share their knowledge with others and get support from fellow volunteers within a safe environment. For volunteer managers, having yet another system to use in their work could have been a real negative. But instead, they ask to use Assemble for staff recruitment, as a resource library for their teams and to dump the online expenses system and use the Assemble one instead! And with the integrated functions, volunteer records are easily kept up to date without anyone noticing that they're doing anything. For the organisation, all of the risk, data security and management concerns are completely covered. Measuring volunteer impact, linking with KPIs, makes sure volunteering is integrated with the objectives and properly celebrated. Pros One-stop shop for the entire volunteer journey Truly volunteer-centric - allows so much peer support Clear, intuitive interface means no training required for volunteers Excellent managers' interface Automation of all admin tasks save so much staff time Incredibly flexible - from changing auto-emails to tailoring access for different groups of users Recruitment - there are no words! App - really nice and wouldn't have a volunteer system without it Lots of ongoing development and no extra charges for new features Fantastic support - really helpful, fast and respond well to feedback Cons Genuinely struggle to think of anything as it's got everything we need (and more).
