### "Learning Curve, But Worth It"

May 16, 2019

5.0

Overall I am very satisfied. Although there is a learning curve, especially if you want to use advanced features, your time pays off with great resources for students. In the end, I believe my students benefit from Pearson's products, and I believe it helps with improving test scores.

Pros

I currently work with a group of students that are very high need, and Pearson has products that are extremely useful for creating assignments and assessments that are tailored to each student's needs. Specifically, using MyMathLab has been a game changer for my building. I can't imagine providing these options without Pearson, at least in a way that wouldn't require an inappropriate amount of work from teachers (beyond what they already do).

Cons

Some of the products are not intuitive, and it takes training from somebody who knows it in order to use many features. I am quick to pick up tech tools (and I take copious notes), but I have many coworkers that struggle regularly with how to use certain products.

### "This is a solid online learning platform."

March 3, 2020

4.0

Positive. I have used it for years and I plan to continue using it in the future.

Pros

I have used MyMathLab for YEARS. There are tons of resources available to myself and my students. The pricing has become more affordable over the years as well... instead of going up.

Cons

I wish there was a chat with instructor or a messaging system built directly into MyMathLab (something different than the traditional forum).

### "Customer care and resolutions"

October 19, 2020

1.0

The first 16 years have been actually quite lovely with Pearson. Was a very user friendly products, amazing academic teaching tool, Really fun online books or activities. Until this year! On September 10 I contacted customer support to explain that I did not have access to the online activities anymore. I have been bounced around from support tech to support tech for the past month and a half. Lost valuable time with students. Very disappointing

Pros

Really fun to use. Great teaching resource

Cons

How they treat longtime customers and clients.

Reason for choosing Learning Catalytics

I am done choosing Pearson education

### "Pearson Education"

April 2, 2020

5.0

Pros

The software is very easy to use. It is such a great supplement for learning. In my case as a teacher, it benefits me a lot because its functionality really helps my students understand the material I am teaching.

Cons

There is no way to check the computational fluency of the students (since I am teaching Mathematics) using this software since the questions are either short or multiple choice. There's no way that students can upload their work.

### "Stay Focused and It will help you "

December 5, 2019

4.0

A decent platform for educators who enjoy a hands off approach, but if you are more involved you may want to opt more something else

Pros

Pearson is convenient for both educators and students, with good integration between the grading side and the submission side

Cons

The submission side (student) has a tendency to glitch and occasionally mark answers wrong when they are correct

### "One account for everything "

May 28, 2019

4.0

Pros

Pearson’s makes excellent interactive textbooks that accompany certain classes. Both the lessons and what’s online work very well together. There is also practice sections and study tools to help you grasp concepts you are learning.

Cons

Don’t forget your login information because when you create an account for one class, no matter how long ago it was, that will be the same for any other class you take that is associated with this company.

### "Pearson Education Products"

September 26, 2019

5.0

Pros

I am the LMS admin at a community college and I Love Pearson products. I deal with several 3rd party content publishers and Pearson is by far my favorite to work with. Their products integrate seamlessly with our LMS and their customer service and tech support is definitely the best in the field.

Cons

I don't really have anything negative to say at this point.

### "A move toward the future of education"

October 31, 2019

5.0

Our school corporation uses e-learning days in place of a snow day. Pearson Education allows students to continue their education at home without worrying about a forgotten textbook sitting in their locker.

Pros

Some of the textbooks that our school uses are available through Pearson Education. With the advancements in technology and the shift from brick and mortar to virtual learning, Pearson online textbooks is the way to go.

Cons

This software can sometimes be a little tricky to use. It is not 100% user friendly for adults let alone the 12 year olds in the classroom. This problem is solved with training.

### "Pearson Realize has Stepped Up It's Game"

March 26, 2020

4.0

Overall, I have had a positive experience in utilizing Pearson Realize in my classroom over the last 6 years. I feel that they've improved their product over time and make user-friendly and relevant learning materials, which offer diverse options, for my students.

Pros

As a teacher, I utilize this learning platform daily in introducing new skills to students, as well as in student assessment. We have always utilized on-line learning tools and learning videos in addition to our daily lessons. Since school closings, I have been so grateful to have the new modifications to this platform! I am able to build playlists that include materials that are both internal and external to this program for student learning. They've also added digital quick assessments, that are self-checking, so I can track understanding. Completed tasks can be submitted to the teacher and may include messages or questions from parents.

Cons

I do wish that the area where a teacher can type in instructions was larger because communication is key! The area in which I feel the greatest improvement is needed is the practice worksheets. I am able to attach a copy of the worksheet for my students to complete on their own paper at home but would rather they be interactive and submitted back to me, even self-checking, as the digital quick checks.

### "Education Simplified"

September 3, 2019

5.0

I am a Grad student. I have spent a lot of time using a lot of educational software programs. Pearson Education has been the one that I have encountered and experienced the most. It's been the most consistent and easy to learn. I would recommend it anyone looking for an educational tool that makes school-life all the easier. I have nothing bad to say about it!

Pros

Being a student means experiencing new software and ways of learning. It can be intimidating at times, but navigating through Pearson Education software, especially MyLab and Mastering, is facile and seemingly effortless to master.

Cons

I am severely dyslexic, and I would really love to see an option to alter the literature for people like myself. For example, providing an option to transition the "pages" from white to yellow.

### "Long-time User"

June 15, 2020

4.0

Overall, I really like Pearson Education. I've been using it 10+ years now on the middle school and college level.

Pros

There are many things I like about this software. I like that it offers different online material to go along with its textbooks that's easy to migrate through, and I like that it has assessment capability within its software.

Cons

I don't like that the assessment component of the software doesn't generate a different test for each student especially with the software associated with the Pearson products for 8th grade level.

### "Useful tool for conceptualizing information "

April 30, 2022

5.0

Overall, I found this tool to be rather useful when studying for my classes. It's a great resource to pair with textbooks as well.

Pros

I liked how the software followed the same organization as the textbook I was using. This allowed me to easily incorporate learning catalytic into my studies.

Cons

At times, I felt like the information represented in the question wasn't as relevant in preparation for a quiz/exam.

### "Pearson Education Review"

December 4, 2019

4.0

Our overall experience has been good, especially with using the tool to enhance what learning activities we can provide for our students.

Pros

Pearson Education is a great way to bring the learning tools of their various series into the hands of students, with augmented features that print media alone don't offer.

Cons

Like any new software, training for teachers is a factor. Schools can struggle to schedule enough training time, but if a school does provide that, the software becomes familiar and easy to navigate.

### "Pearson Education: Expanding Access"

June 19, 2019

5.0

Overall, Pearson has increased school to home access and participation. That equals a win-win situation for both the students and the teachers.

Pros

Pearson Education is making access to resources readily available to teachers, students, and parents. In using the software that complements student textbooks, students can review the day's lesson, self-assess their knowledge, watch tutorial videos, and so much more. Parents can work with their students at home and access the same tutorial videos, an invaluable resource for most parents. Pearson takes the classroom into the students' homes, giving them every resource needed to find success and mastery at school.

Cons

In my experience, remedial materials are often still too difficult for students who are struggling the most. There are not enough remedial materials available at varying levels.

### "Pearson's Online Programs: Some OK, Some Less-So"

December 6, 2019

3.0

I don't know if the issues I've had are really a problem with Pearson or an issue with the district not troubleshooting these issues before pushing it out to the teachers and students

Pros

Our district uses Pearson Education for social studies classes. In the history courses, teachers and students access the textbook and other materials through Pearson Realize. Pearson Realize is easy for both teachers and students to navigate and use.

Cons

The behavioral science classes in the social studies department rely on Pearson My Lab and Mastering. The eBooks don't always load properly and students have difficulty accessing the other parts of the program.

### "Pearson Education User"

December 12, 2019

5.0

I have used Pearson software to study for standardized testing (GRE) and my experience has been nothing but positive.

Pros

I have used a lot of different educational software and Pearson Education is consistently the most reliable and easy to access.

Cons

The ability to return to testing diagnostic services after a certain amount of time has passed; I did not retake the GRE after initial attempt for another year.

### "Pearson for Higher Education "

November 21, 2020

4.0

I am going back to school after a very long time. So this is my first experience with an ebook. So there is an adjustment needed, but I am finding it to be very beneficial. Nice not to have to carry a book around.

Pros

I can have my textbook and Notes all at the tip of my fingers in one spot. I use Mathlab for assignments and it really helps you learn as it gives hints and ultimately explains the correct answer if you can’t figure it out. Instant feedback. Also, price is better than purchasing a book, but still a bit higher than I would like.

Cons

I’m not sure if it’s because of the siZe or the computer screen, but I can’t see a full page at one time and have to scroll down. This is frustrating. But maybe I haven’t figured out how to adjust it yet.

### "User Friendly"

September 20, 2019

5.0

I have really not experienced any problems with this program. Our school supplies it for us and gives us training.

Pros

I really like the teaching supplements that I can edit and print. Program is intuitive and easy to navigate. Our system has been using it for a couple of years .

Cons

I would like to see more supplements for the lower level students who need that extra differentiation,
