I have been using this tool for almost a year now for my online campaigns and it has helped me save so much of unnecessary hard work. I would recommend all that if you are into smart work, rather than the hard work, then go for this tool. It is super helpful for all your online campaigns and other digital marketing activities. Pros Analytics Edge has multiple connectors and is best suited for web page analytics. It not only gives you the customized dashboard feature which is super helpful while running online campaigns, but also gives you the clear and concise picture of the effectiveness of your campaign. For my small-medium business, it has meant increased efficiencies, huge cutbacks on amount of time spent getting data, more reliable data, and a near-automated scheduled API calls means data can keep on being gathered without you having to watch it. I find this program extremely well-developed and the way that the API UI is translated into the visual configuration panels is intuitive and lets you get things done quickly. Customer service is in a class of its own, 10 starts out of 5. It is quite an unassuming product that will surprise you. Pros Customer service is phenomenal - you do not get this level of service from big industry names like Adverity, Fivetran or Funnel. Feature requests are also actively considered and worked on, which makes you feel really taken care of. The choice of connectors, plus the automatic API calls, plus the easy UI makes it a no-brainer really. I recommend this to every small-to-medium business. Cons Not really fault of the product but initial logging in / authentication is quite an intense part of the process, and authentication handshakes have expiration dates, meaning you will have to do it again every now and again. But this is more of a symptom of how data security is at the moment in the industry, rather than being AE's fault. It is a necessary evil. The best way to neutralise this problem is to always assume you will spend some time just getting into your data via API. This is also good in a way as it shows that it is very tough to break into accounts. I use it for weekly and monthly reporting (KPI's, spend, conversion, sales). Its an important activity, but also one I want to spent as little time on as I have to. Analytics Edge allows me to automate a large part of the work. Using both the basic Analytics Edge plugin as well as the paid Google AdWords addon. Cons The whole thing could be a bit more user friendly. Setting up queries is quite compex, and when things break it can be a hard to figure out why. For instance, I tried to remove old queries. Tried deleting cells, rows, columns, tabs, anything but nuking the file all together. But every time I ran the 'All queries' there was the old tab again, with the data I no longer needed. Took me way to long to figure out how to actually delete the query in Excel (still haven't found the option in the plugin, it suggests I cut the query using the edit option, but that doesn't work for me). There's a couple more things where the plug in has some counter intuitive ways of working, or where it only accepts specific input. Reports contain dashboards, tables/charts (segmented by time dimensions, sources, campaign, ad groups, ads, devices,..). I create many queries and than use them in pivot tables (or Power Pivot where I put togheter more data sources so I can create a big data table from more systems). I use it daily for checking performance or deeper analysis. Pros I like that the Analytics Edge download raw data to excel and avoids sampling. Also the price of individual connectors is great. I use free Analytics Add in + Adwords, Facebook, Search Console, Bing connectors. Cons When I update queries I can´t work with the excel and I have to wait till the refresh finishes (which can be annoying when I have more queries for the longer period with avoid sampling enabled).
