### "Bad experience"

I would not recommend this product to anyone. It’s expensive, rarely works as it should, business seems careless

Pros

Alleva could be a good product but there’s so many basic issues. They decide to prioritize new features rather than fixing all the bugs and glitches we all experience.

Cons

There’s honestly too many to count. Our company is consistently billed inappropriately, it feels like a scam. Constantly logged out when trying to load things. When new features come out, poorly communicated. The build experience and handoffs to different people could be done so much smoother but they seem lost. Have had conversations with leadership at Alleva and always get told standard responses and it seems they don’t actually care about our business and their customers, they just want the paycheck.

I've worked with many EMR's in the past and I can say hands down that you guys have been the best company i've ever worked for it's easy to manage easy to train people and the cost is not nearly as high as other competitors hands down best EMR I've ever had.

Pros

Alleva Makes it easier when it comes to documentation for each individual client, the layout of the page makes it easier to find anything necessary to help you document things properly as well as being able to modify anything on your personal or leave a page.

Cons

My least favorite thing unfortunately I would have to come back to this one because I can't say at this time that I actually have something I dislike about you guys

My whole team already knew how leave it worked so it was easier for us to use it as well as the layout is more customizable that we can gear it towards our business.

They are both incredibly knowledgeable about the product and a pleasure to work with. \[sensitive content hidden\], in particular, goes above and beyond to make sure that we can function as a facility when things go awry. This has included building forms for us on an airplane while he flew to another account. He is a valuable asset to the success of your product.

Pros

It is conceptually a good product and has a pleasing aesthetic

Cons

I have spent an incredible amount of time building custom forms and intakes that have inevitably broken and had to be rebuilt several times causing massive data losses. The UR module is under developed and begs the input from URs to make it more functional to the department.

Pros

I have been working with and utilizing Alleva software for the past 5 years. Alleva has the best customer service, Alleva is always available when you need them. If you need something fixed, a report built, a feature added they are always right their to help. Alleva can be customized to fit your needs and our facility loves that. Very user friendly and ease of use for the end user. As a Rehab Admin I can support my staff with all their needs in updating items to make their job easier.

Cons

When big updates are pushed out the system can get glitchy but Alleva support is always right there to trouble shoot it with you.

Overall poor. Searching for information is challenging. There are aspects of the system that seem to have been added with the intent of making charting easier, but are inappropriate to have in the system. eg. hypertensive, etc. in VS. The flow of the VS page is different than how nurses' are used to reading them. There is an order to how we document.

Pros

To be completely honest, there is not one aspect of Alleva that I like in comparison with other EMRs I have used.

Cons

I don't like that the prescription module and chart module do not integrate. When I am in one patient's prescription module, the chart patient does not change to reflect the prescription patient. Also our safety checks do not auto populate based on times due. I have sent several email help desk requests if anyone is interested in reviewing using my email.

As a woman in my 60s it was easy to use easy to learn staff is appropriate when asked questions or need help updating program

Pros

Leave it was easy to learn and use. All my individual notes and group notes were added to sidebar in order to not continue to type the same thing every 8 weeks.

Cons

What I like least about leave the is when my tasks to do open up and it's an individual session or in the calendar it does not show up when you open a new progress note and view past notes they do not show up.

In all our experience has been a good one. Again the account management team and support is always great.

Pros

I love their customer service. They are always available and willing to try to find a solution or help. The chat function is great. They are always coming up with improvements and they listen to our suggestions.

Cons

I wish we could view multiple programs at one time. Also, wish we could email directly with our external officer (working on this via the family portal now)

### "Alleva: Pros and Cons"

Overall I haven't been impressed. I don't deal with Alleva on the back-end (finances, administration, etc.) but from what I have experienced, I've experienced more struggles than I have successes. Frankly, I feel that I have to work my job around my EMR instead of the EMR making my job easier. I want to be fair that I don't have the entire picture, but I would not recommend.

Pros

Alleva has some really cool customizable features. The user interface is aesthetically pleasing compared to other EMRs I've used in the past.

Cons

Really struggling to make Alleva work for my use. There are quite a few bugs (specifically with treatment plans) and features that are not intuitive and do not match with what we're looking for. It's tough to get support. Submitting a ticket is often challenging to get a response and when I get a response, typically the solution is 1. "You're not using it correctly and it is user error." and then when I take time out of my schedule to show screenshots, I get 2. "Yeah that's weird, we'll follow up on that." For example: "Hey only three out of the six objectives that I updated were saved when I updated my treatment plan." The response was "We only have record of three objectives updated." Additionally, it is often slow and/or buggy. Notes will not save which requires me to write the note elsewhere to copy and paste it back in when Alleva begins working again.

Poor. It is frustrating to have the system glitch multiple times a shift - screens not populating with data already entered, at least daily a message saying there is a loading error. Have to logout and log back in. When you are trying to get meds to 60 people and you have to keep doing this - its annoying.

Pros

The best I can say about Alleva is that it is serviceable. I am not a fan of the system.

Cons

It is difficult to teach new people how to navigate around Alleva. Whoever put together the program does not seem to have had any medical background. For instance, the screen that you record vital signs to has no logic to where the data appears. It is not user friendly to have blood pressure in one corner, pulse in a different spot, temperature somewhere else. The screens definitely need streamlining. The number of steps it takes to order and print lab requisitons is ridiculous. I wrote the instructions out for other people's use and I filled a page and a half with step-by-step process - and I printed small.

### "Alleva- don't waste your money -time consuming"

Very poor rep support. Poor teaching methods. Unable to change templates once implemented. I'd give it zero stars if that was an available choice.

Pros

Calendar - that is all. Too many hidden screens. Too many clicks. Time consuming. Poor rep support.

Cons

Too time consuming. Too many clicks. Hard to change templates once implemented. Reps do not come out to teach in person. Poor teaching methods used prior to implementing Alleva. Medication documentation has too many clicks and many meds not available to click/enter. E- scribing does not cross over to MAR list. Do not recommend. Hidden screens snd hard to find different screens such as History/physical and Rx prescribing.

### "Young Adult Transition Program Alleva Review"

Overall it has been positive. I am disappointed that Alleva cannot solve the two issues that we struggle with (noted above). If those issues were resolved, I would say the product would have been excellent.

Pros

User Interface is great Ease of use is great Calendar feature works great Set Up was easier than other programs, easy to train staff to use it

Cons

The CRM part of Alleva is lacking many essential features of a good CRM- which is too bad because it would be great to have them connected. There are two main problems that we have had, that Alleva Support either can't and or won't prioritize resolving due to do the likely workload it would require. - We use the SuperBill function every month for every client and there is no ability to have the diagnostic codes for the sessions populate onto the superbill. This requires us to manually have to add them each month to each SuperBill. This is an essenetial feature of any SuperBill for it to be considered by an insurance company, it needs to be included. - The second issue we run into is that the diagnostic database is not fully comprehensive. There are missing mental health diagnosis' and thus the use has to add them manually. This seems to be another essential feature that is missing.

### "Do NOT BUY! "

Pros

There's nothing that I really enjoy about this system. We transitioned over from KIPU a few months ago and every since then, we have had nothing but challenges. You'll have some kids come out from Orange County to setup your system, walk in with wrinkled shirts, like they just rolled out of bed, with no agenda or plan as to what they plan to do or how to make the process go smoothly. They'll promise you the world and then bail when you ask for help. You can customize a lot but it's not worth it when everything is not functionating.

Cons

We had challenges from day 1. The system is down at least once a week for over an hour. You can't search in the system very well. We literally could not order RXs for days and received no assistances. We have a team over 50+ people and everyone has complained about this system - not a single one is happy that we moved over.

I've been using Alleva for a little over 3 years now. I have seen multiple features rolled out and it seems to get smoother each time. Again, very responsive tech support team as well.

Pros

Technology is not my strong suit; however, Alleva is fairly intuitive and ease of use is important when onboarding new employees. We make regular use of the calendar/scheduling features. We also appreciate the responsiveness of the Alleva Support Team.

Cons

Sometimes new features are a "buggy" when rolled out. I suspect that is not only an Alleva problem, but a challenge with any new software features.

### "SUD vs Primary Care"

Overall good for a mixed MH/SUD/Prim care practice. If more of MH and SUD, I'd rec it.

Pros

Good EHR for SUD and MH. My fellow MH and SUD staff seems to use it easily. They mostly use free text.

Cons

Primary care with any volume has to have templates and more established structure to use Alleva. Support will make templates, but changing and tweaking them isnt easy

### "Super Happy"

Overall I am happy with Alleva. I would tell people about it and recommend them using it.

Pros

I have been using Alleva for 5 years. It is easy to use and navigate. I appreciate all of the training that they offer for free. Support is always quick and helpful.

Cons

There seems to be a lot of glitches and slowness. They say it is cookies. It may be, but when it is bad it is a pain.

### "Good product"

Pros

I like that Alleva is very user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Cons

I do not like the Communication Logs portion of the system. You cannot go back and correct a mistake, or you cannot go back to an unfinished communication log to complete it. It will automatically save the log without a way to go back to complete it. It is not ideal for a busy office with distractions.
