Pros Very easy to set up and use. Easy to get the presence table. Didn't try the payment tool. Cons You can't modify compulsory fields in the registering process. The app allows me to notify all members of the team instantly and for them to communicate with me through the app their availability. The app works very effectively. Love how both myself and husband are on it so we can easily liaise to decide who is going with which kid to what event. Pros Spond offers a user-friendly app and club management solution that simplifies how coaches manage their teams in a safe and stress-free way, regardless of the activity or sport. With Spond, I can keep track of all my kids' sporting activities and dates in one convenient place. Staying organized and informed with easy access to all the information I need at the touch of a button. Plus, Spond conveniently provides updates via text message or email, even without the necessity of downloading the app. Cons As of yet there has not been anything that has made the application difficult to use. However, maybe being able to personalise or colour code the different teams and their notifications may be slightly more user friendly. Sometimes I have roll through many notifications to get to what I want. Maybe to be able to sort into team too… however there may already be this facility. I haven’t really had a chance to play with it. But the more teams my kids join, (and if the clubs use Spond) then the more notifications I get. Review Source SA Shaun A. October 13, 2022 5.0 Overall Spond has, and continues to, save myself and my fellow volunteer coaches time and effort. We used to use a team WhatsApp group to communicate fixture and training information, and while the group remains in use for general chat and comms, all event details are now conveyed over Spond. The format of the events you create on Spond allow us to be extremely clear about times, locations (you can search for locations and it brings up little maps, or enter custom details) and other details, plus it's very easy to update and cancel events, which again makes it crystal clear for parents. The other big win is that parents indicate at the touch of a button whether or not their child is attending, and as coaches we can see these responses and total figures in one easy place on the Spond app, instead of having to scroll back through WhatsApp conversations. Spond is ideal for youth football logistics and I highly recommend it. Pros It's very easy to use, both from an event organiser and administrator perspective and from a parent/user perspective. It's intuitive and straightforward so no training or similar was required to roll it out and start using it for our team. It's made sharing details of matches and training with parents far easier and quicker, and the big win has been being able to collate responses on who can and cannot attend. Cons I am honestly yet to find anything about using Spond difficult. We have two teams within our group but that was no problem as Spond allows you to create sub groups, so we can ensure the right kids and guardians can view only the relevant info for them. Great mobile iOS integration. Pros Spond provides seamless scheduling, map integration, messaging, and RSVP for youth sports. Coaches and teammates are able to send out invites to team members for matches and practices, and players can RSVP. Map integration is especially helpful for travel or different locations. Push notifications help teammates stay up to date on recent cancellations due to rain, etc. Cons No downsides; the app has all the functionality it needs while maintaining ease of use. Gives you a great visibility of the upcoming events (other members responses, messages, maps etc...)
