Overall, this has been a positive experience and it works to fill the needs of our team and communication with our clients and partners.

Pros

What I most like about this platform is the text capabilities and when I have a voicemail, it can be listened to through the app as well as a voice file sent to my email address, with voice transcription

Cons

Intermedia Unite promises an all-in-one communications platform, but in practice it often feels clunky and overpriced. The interface is unintuitive, with too many clicks required for basic tasks like call handling or user management. Call quality can be inconsistent, especially during peak hours, which undermines reliability. The mobile app lags behind competitors and frequently has sync issues. Customer support responses are slow and sometimes lack technical depth. Integrations are limited compared to modern UCaaS platforms, making workflows harder to automate. For the price, Unite feels outdated and less flexible than many alternatives on the market. Overall, the experience disappoints today.

Cons

Ease of use. It's scallable so that I can add or reduce my number of users according to our business plans.

Cons

sometimes when the mobile app is updated it gets glitchy (dropped calls) so I have to uninstall and reinstall it and that handles it.

It's been a very good addition to our business and helps us operate much more efficiently and effectively, especially when we have to go into the field or are out of the office traveling - we can take and place calls and it 'looks like' we're in the office.

Pros

Seamlessly integrates into our email system so all VM's are sent to our email with a voice to text transcript along with the actual audio recording. Super nice functionality and even with heavy accents, you can always listen to the VM when the transcription doesn't "get it" word for word.

Cons

Can't figure out how to set a different and unique ring tone for my cell phone to let me know it's the "office line' ringing. Also, can't turn down the Unite ringer volume level

Reason for choosing Intermedia Unite

For all the reasons stated, better call quality, ease of use and ability to accept and place calls using our cell phones while appearing to be in the office.

We are very pleased with our service and the options available in our package. Intermedia Unite has simplified and broadened our business communications. Customer service has been exemplary from the sales team to installation and has continued throughout our service period.

Pros

The onboarding team was outstanding. They made the process of switching from a PBX based phone system to the Voip system seamless. They were very informative, patient and extremely helpful. The set up included detailed training and assistance. Response to questions, issues or specific feature use was expedient, easy to understand and implement. They are always eager to help. Often times salespeople over promise and under commit. Once you have purchased the service, you are on your own. Not the case here, we have never once regretted our decision to go with Intermedia. Through the use of mobile apps and video conferencing, our ability to broaden communications within the company, outside vendors and partners has simplified our unique hybrid office platform.

Cons

The only con we currently experience is within an area of minimal or limited internet and Internet Service Provider options. The Voip phone need a consistent and stable internet connection. However, with the use of the mobile app, this issue is eliminated as it works through cellular phone coverage.

It’s been great. When there are glitches or problems they are responsive and clearly identify what happened and what they are doing to prevent it again. We’ve only had like a couple problem in several years compared to couple problems a month with previous option.

Pros

We have complete control with 100% flexibility to add and remove components. When covid hit and we wanted a separate curbside line less than 5 minutes and it is up and running. Desk phones or PC calling it has it all. Pricing is 100% clearly communicated and reasonable at the front end. Frequent updates and improvements. Unlimited digital faxes for free…

Cons

That free fax benefit could have a better interface…. Honestly hard to come up with cons as they don’t have any of the gripes I had or heard about other services.

Reason for choosing Intermedia Unite

Either outright terrible pricing or great intro pricing with reviews that warn you about backstabbing and price hikes to come. Intermedia doesn’t seem to do that.

Very good experience with Intermedia Unite. They can give any size office the best product and support and that has helped our office greatly. I have the best software and techs out there for our office!

Pros

I buy software for our office based on the tech team that I talk with. If the tech team is willing to talk to me and answer my questions, then I know that the whole team wants our business. The sales teams are great but the tech team is what sales the product to me. After I purchase a product or service than I work with the tech team to make sure all is running smooth. The tech here at Intermedia Unite is the best that I have worked with and that means I can get a lot of work accomplished because I have a very good support software and team. Well worth having on my team. Best phone software out there!

Cons

The company does not have any problems with our office and we would highly recommend them to other businesses as well.

We dropped 8x8 in a decision to have better service and care for our office This was a wise choice for our office and we have really had great experience with the Intermedia Unite team. We are well pleased with the software and the tech support! We we changed over the transition was very fast and with out a lot of hassle. This team knows how to work with business to keep their business running smoothly. We love the auto attendant feature, cloud softphone and the broadband phones. We have them as our home phone account also, that is how great they are!

In this day in age customer want to have the flexibility to do business wherever they go and not feel any form of limitation from being a way from the "office". Intermedia solves that problem with the apps and additional features.

Pros

the most impactful features have been the video conferencing, SMS messaging on chat, mobile App and being able to transfer a call from my desk phone to mobile app. The installation is super easy, and the quality of service has been great.

this product fits a low cost alternative to other voip services. so far no problems to date, although at a few times customer service was difficult to reach, but has not been a problem

Cons

so far, we have had no limitations, but we have not used all the features since the pandemic has limited business growth

Unite has enabled our team to stay in touch and fully functional even when we have to operate remotely - no small feat for a tiny firm. From our initial outreach to Intermedia to setup and installation it was obvious staff at Intermedia know their product and were able to walk me through even the most complex task quickly and easily. Response to trouble tickets is quick if they can't solve an issue directly over the phone.

Pros

The software is flexible and easy to use but also powerful. It is easy to navigate and features are self-explanatory.

Cons

It can be a little obtrusive at times - would be nice if it had a quick "silence" or "sleep" mode - maybe located in the window title bar to prevent the app from interrupting calls or covering other windows.

We are a reseller of unified communications solutions for business. Intermedia's ready and immediate answers to all of our support questions make us look good and make it much more enjoyable for us to provide top-notch service to our customers.

Pros

We love Intermedia Unite because of its power and flexibility, we well as its reliability. The desk phones function perfectly and have great call quality, along with an extensive suite of standard features. Advanced programming allows us to streamline the customer experience even further. And to make it even better, Intermedia support far surpasses our previous two unified communications providers.

Cons

There are times when cellular data quality or Wi-Fi quality prevents ideal calls, but this is not unique to Intermedia and is a problem common to all VOIP providers.

It was easy to purchase, easy to install, deploy, and start to use. However, after having several users doing a calling activity at the same time, the connections starts to fail

Pros

It is easy to use as any other phone provider, it has a good interface and a good reporting system.

Cons

It's server is weak, the connection will keep rebooting, which will eventually affect the operation if it is a large-volume one

Overall experience good with all aspects of features on phones.

Pros

Most PBX features also available on Unite. The integration with desktop app and mobile app is convenient when roaming around office or remote work.

Cons

BLF options are all (ring/no ring) for all buttons. Can't select specific BLF buttons for different ring/no ring.Making changes can be either over web page for Unite or direct to Yealink phone. Confusing on where to make programming changes

I am so pleased. Everyone in the office appreciates the functionality of the product, especially now that we are 'remoting' more and more. The ability to video conference on the fly is a lifesaver for our team; we can get our work done -- but stay 'connected' a bit more than just a traditional phone.

Pros

The best thing for us was implementing this just before the pandemic hit. We needed better unified communications and hosted phones for our team. The Intermedia onramp team was awesome, we had a single rep guiding us along -- which helped the consistency of the process. The setup was easier than we expected, the software easy to use once setup properly -- and it saves us $$$ every month.

Cons

The support, although seldom required -- can be a bit slow. Granted -- when you have trouble with your phones you want immediate help. The key, however -- is that when help is reached -- they seem to get us fixed-up in a jiffy.

Pros

We have found it very easy to set up our VOIP phones, auto-attendants, cell phone apps etc. Intermedia Unite is a very clean, easy-to-use interface compared to other VOIP providers we've had in the past. When we have needed support, their team is very responsive and well-trained, and they escalate to the next tier without delay when that is necessary.

Cons

No complaints. It does everything we need it to do.

Pros

Month to Month contracting was a huge selling point although once you start using both Unite and the other Intermedia business tools you will never want to switch. I have been using SecuriSync, MS Exchange and MS Office from Intermedia for years and I don't see that changing.

Cons

Sometimes its hard to get the right person on the Support line but that's a problem with any service provider. other than that I cant think of anything I don't like.

We have found this online phone system to be a great tool for our company. The app and our in-office phones work great and we can depend on our calls, voicemails and faxes to come through; whereas the last company we had was very sporadic service.

Pros

Integrating and setting up Intermedia Unite was fairly easy. The customer service is very helpful! We have found this online phone system a major upgrade from our last provider.

Cons

Setting up our voicemail system was difficult. After several attempts however, we contacted customer support and were able to resolve everything.

I have to travel to multiple offices and the flexibility of the services to al most be in two places at once. It has really taken a lot worry out of servicing existing clients while travelling.

Pros

I like the fact that I can be in several different locations and have real access to clients. As well, I can access my messages in either voice or transcriptions over any device.

Cons

I really can't think of anything I don't like about the service.

Customer service is Excellent. We can use it on multiple devices, which facilitates remote work. We have access to voicemail transcripts and audio.

Pros

The features and functionality of the unit and system meet our needs. We had computer access to the system during covid and transitioning to a new location. DataTele customer service agent Bill helped us navigate the process. When we moved to our new location, we could add new units along with our existing ones. The mobile configuration also helps with remote access.

Cons

We had a cheat sheet to help with the feature setup, and the online setup gives you a step-by-step process to complete different features. The Agent is just an email away and a phone call if necessary.

Pros

The ATS/ATC team has improved internal and external communications using the features offered by Elevate. Productivity has improved and customer satisfaction as well. Our team is being proactive and responding to customer needs directly vs. email exchanges and voicemail jail. These collectively will increase customer sat and employee sat. Both key to our business success.

Cons

Wish the hotdesking feature was available.
