Wish the school would choose a better alternative that doesn't try to squeeze parents for fees at every step. Pros The user interface is ok. We only really use it for tuckshop ordering, though. Cons The fees are ridiculous. Recently, they updated the app so that you could place multiple orders together (e.g. multiple lunchbreaks, for multiple children). I thought "yay, only one transaction fee!". But NO! There's still a transaction fee (29c) per child! Plus, when you top up the "wallet", there's also a transaction fee (about 17c each time). It's a horrible user experience, appalling fee schedule and the only thing it offers over the 'put money in a paper bag' approach is that it doesn't require cash, which is not a new concept in 2019. Nearly every other place I go use PayPal or a CC to pay doesn't charge me fees, unless they're an airline or a taxi. Pros It makes ordering of tuckshop a bit easier and allows for more visibility of current pricing. Not requiring cash is a plus as I generally don't carry any these days. Cons There's a fee to deposit money (unless you want to wait 5 days), there's a fee to place an order. What's that, you want first and second break? That's 2 orders and 2 fees. Got more than 1 kid? Multiply those fees. You are already holding my money in balance, the fees to put money in and take it out is a bit rude. The 2 order thing is time consuming as well, plus a whole lot less than intuitive. The UI could do with a big update, it's clunky and does not flow. I particularly like the ability to make online payments for everything from lunches to uniforms. Cons I don’t like that fees are charged at all for ordering canteen lunches, but especially that they are charged per order (i.e. per child) and need to be done individually, which is time consuming and removes some of the benefit of online ordering. Also, during ordering there’s no option to go back to the previous page – if I try I lose the order and have to start again.
