I like that the pricing is able to adjust as the number of tutors adjusts. It's fantastic for use with my online tutoring and in person small group classes. I'm able to track the necessary information I need for my language students who attend classes in person, online and during summer camps. Cons It's not really made to use for summer camps which is when I have the highest enrolment. So it doesn't do everything I need for the camps, but it is still the most economical option for me. Reason for choosing TutorBird It does what I need it to at a much more economical price. Also, it is Canadian and I can receive my payments in CAD. Review Source CG Christie G. Plus, send out automatic invoices. That saves me so much time! Cons I wish TutorBird was connected to Venmo. That is the payment outlet that my families use. It is inconvenient that I have to go in and add the payment to their account. Pros Provides the essential features of running an appointment based tutoring business. Appointment scheduling, invoicing, reminders to students of sessions etc... Cons Integration with google meet is not yet supported - that's an omission. Would be good to select multiple appointment slots to delete e.g. during holiday periods. Review Source SM Sofie M. Having the opportunity to have the trial period allowed me to have a real view of what was on offer and I could clearly see that it fit my expectations and more. The students are really excited about using it and have had no trouble using it. The fact that they don't have to download an app is a plus as some people are a bit sceptical about doing so. The teachers too have been very motivated to use it and now that we have gone online, I can quickly see what is going on. Pros It allows us to manage many of the schools tasks and automate some of the processes saving a lot of time. The student can keep track of their attendance and payments. For an online language school like ours it is a great tool. I only wish I had found out about it sooner. Cons Until all the data is in there it takes a little while to get things automated, but once it is set up, it works like a dream. So pleased to have come across this. Will save me so much time and headaches. Invoices & documents for tax purposes are easily generated. Pros TB is helpful to run my sole operation but can be glitchy at times. It has improved over time though & there are updates regularly. The registration form for new parents is a terrific professional touch, and the calendar is easy to view and navigate. The auto-invoicing feature is probably my favorite! Pros I love TutorBird because it is very user-friendly for my students and parents. It has intake forms I can put on my website, it has easy calendar and session booking use and easy invoicing and payroll features. I love the YouTube videos that are there to explain how to set up and use the features and the customer support is a bonus. Cons Right now there are slight feature requests that would be great to have in the future. A way for my students to rate/review their tutors after each session. Cons It takes my quite a while to input student and family data. I also haven't figured out how to check which families have set up an account. I love it and have not yet switched over to the new version. I’m hoping when I do have to switch, that there are no scheduling mix ups. Pros Parents can schedule and reschedule as they need to. Cons I like to print my calendar so other members of my family know what my work schedule is, and sometimes the program doesn’t let me do this. Also, I wish there was an undo feature. I also don’t like that the study log is the way that tutors can get information from students, where is lesson notes is the way that students can get information from tutor’s. Everything is connected - attendance, invoices, reports - which is very useful. Pros The software is reasonably priced and effective for tutoring. It is significantly more effective than a typical book keeping software. The customer service is excellent! They are responsive and willing to answer all questions. Cons Some of the features are not intuitive. It would be helpful to have a more extensive help manual, perhaps one not connected to the software as you have to get out of the help feature to utilize the application in the software.
