Pros

I like how easy it is to schedule our clients, calculate payments and manage the teacher's available times. Having access to reports is also a great feature that is super helpful to stay on track with monthly and annual revenue.

Cons

As with every software, it takes some time to figure out some features, but their customer service is always ready to help.

We have had a great experience with TutorBird since we began trialing, their onboarding process was excellent and very helpful and their ongoing support has been exceptional.

Pros

The product is easy to use, it has a lovely user friendly interface. We like the way the clients information integrates across each element.

Cons

WE would like to see the ability to colour code the students into groups, to choose students icon colour as well, and for the invoicing to accept bank to bank transfers in Australia as well as integrate with accounting platforms used by small businesses. For example: Xero, Quick Books etc.

We wanted a portals for our clients to access their children's information and messaging.

Love it. It’s made my life so much easier. I was before this with another software specifically designed for swim schools that was very expensive, after the free trial of TutorBird I cancelled my other software and continued with TutorBird.

Pros

It was so easy to learn, the automated emails and invoicing system is so quick and easy. I’ve had a few questions and customer service have been very attentive and helpful.

Cons

Possibly that you can’t click on the class and see from the little box who has and hasn’t paid. I think that would be good to see if they have - balance or 0 from just clicking the class. It can be a pain going through individual accounts

Cons

I wish there was a dedicated app with the ability to “clock” in and to track mileage. Only things it’s really missing.

Tutorbird is what I use for scheduling and billing. Stripe also works well with Tutorbird and saves me time.

Pros

Tutorbird is simple enough that a non-techy like me can figure it out. It has all the features I need and not a lot of bling I don't need.

Cons

It is not perfect, but no platform is. I mainly wish it had an "undo" button for the calendar and other features.

I appreciate the service but wish there was an easier way to get issues resolved.

Pros

I like the scheduling options and the email and text reminders for parents.

Cons

I find the invoicing a little complicated and have had some issues with adding more students sessions and invoicing parents when they've already paid for some.

Overall, the application is easy to use for scheduling and planning, payments and tracking, keeping clients informed and on track. Love it.

Pros

Ease of use and flexibility of the product. I love the fact that I can assign an administrator to select clients to send marketing info to, as this saves me the time and effort. As a techno phobe, anything that can be assigned to admin is a benefit. Tracking of payments, lessons, notifications are all well structured to client and owner.

Cons

This is a tricky one to answer, as there isn't anything that I don't like, or even least like. It really suits me in every way.

Reason for choosing TutorBird

After the initial free month, it became apparent that this was software I could work with and didn't look elsewhere.

Tutorbird makes invoicing and scheduling very easy! Customer support is great! Real people who know the program. Reports for parents are available if needed.

Cons

I’d love to see it as an app. I’d like for the sync to go between my phone as well. I can sync on my computer, not my phone.

Cons

Invoicing does not work for my needs but, while it is an extra step for me, it’s not a deal breaker.

I've had a wonderful experience thus far with Tutorbird. They've worked closely with me to determine if Tutorbird would work for my company structure and in the set up of all of my data.

Pros

I like the ease of use the best and that the platform is visually appealing.

Cons

Tutorbird still has some little tweaks it can do to make it far superior to it's competitors. In addition, the pricing structure prevents some company structures from utilizing Tutorbird.

Pros

Easy to use. Provides all of the functions I need as a tutor/scheduler but isn't overwhelming. Use friendly. And I like the look of it!

Cons

No complaints. It provides exactly what I need. Other programs were too complicated.

TutorBird is an intuitive programme which makes it easy to use. I like that I can access it on my laptop at home and on my phone when I'm out and about.

Cons

When moving from the "old" TutorBird to the "new" the customised email templates did not transfer across.

Tutorbird is great at notifying all of our team about new bookings and cancellations. We like that we can customize Tutorbird to support our companies needs and the needs of our clients.

Pros

Tutorbird has really helped our team save time and energy. We have been able to give parents the freedom to cancel and book appointments which has provided our administrative team with the ability to focus on other important duties. In addition, we had previously spent hours creating invoices for each client, one at a time lesson by lesson....this took hours. Now, thanks to Tutorbird, a time consuming dreaded task is now a quick and easy process.

Cons

There is a small glitch in the system with invoices. The system takes a guess that a current invoice is paid based on the fact that it exceeds the invoice total that was received after the invoice date. When this happens we then have to mark the current invoice as unpaid manually, which can be hard to keep track of.

Very pleased. Easy to use and serves my needs.

Pros

Few people in business like to do the paperwork in handling the necessary documents and creating a system for it. Tutorbird is a fantastic tool that handles it all and allows me to focus on my tutoring responsibilities. It usually spend less than a half hour monthly and have accurate business records done in minutes. Best money spent!

Cons

I wish it had a more robust webpage design. It’s appearance is very “vanilla” but it works and it’s included in the Tutorbird subscription so it’s not an additional cost.

Nothing at all. I liked all indeed. Maybe Google Calendar can be integrated to work with both sides.

My experience has been absolutely amazing. The team has been super fast at responding to any technical issues that I experienced, and the easy of use and value of money means that I keep on recommending it to others.

Pros

I love that this software is an all-in-one solution for my tutoring business. From individual pricing, managing pre-payments, automation of invoicing and reminders, online portal for parents and students... this software does it all. It sends out reminders to students and parents about lessons, and it has given me my life back!

Cons

I would like the option for upcoming appointments to be displayed in the monthly invoice.

We have come to rely on it to help us during a turbulent year in business due to covid-19. Reduced admin time needed to organise class lists (which are constantly evolving), easy communication with staff and students, and professional student portal accessible via our website for student enrolments and timetable checking.

Pros

The auto-reminder feature has almost completely eliminated no-shows (which are costly), and reduced our admin load. No more chasing people up by phone and text, or sending manual reminders. Also, tutors can easily see what is planned for them each week.

Cons

Like anything, it takes time to learn a new system, so it seemed difficult at first - until I compared it with another system which was very convoluted. The effort put into learning it at first has saved a lot of time in the subsequent months.

Reason for choosing TutorBird

Easier upload of database, and able to learn and implement fairly quickly. Really comprehensive help guide with lots of step by step instructions.

Cons

I am down to only one student so there should be different rate options for different students. I started with multiple students and didn't mind the rates.

It is cost efficient but versatile platform to manage students. It has almost all functions you need no matter you tutor by yourself or manage many tutors. If the platform can provide more flexible payroll method and work closely with Zoom, it will be even better.

Pros

It can send notification to my students via both email and text. I like the free text function especially because now the day people don't use email much. I also like the quick response of the feedback. I notify a bug to them and it is fixed in the weeks. Excellent support. The calendar management is great and it is easy to track the event. student can also upload their work and download the resource we provide online.

Cons

there are some functions are missing. Such as tutor cannot mark student's homework which is uploaded to the platform. Tutor should be given a way to upload the marked work. The payroll method shall be more flexible. For the zoom meeting, it can only like to personal meeting room. It cannot like to specific meeting to a specific event.
