I am able to manage all of our tutoring sites efficiently and effectively without having to be in several places at once. Pros Tutor Bird allows us to schedule, bill, collect payments, record lesson notes that the parents are also able to view, and attach any documents we need to have on hand for each student in one place. The fact that you can do all of this from the palm of your hand has made expanding our program so much easier. Cons It would be nice if you were able to itemize month end reports more than you are able to at the present moment. We have run into a few issues on the accounting side due to not being able to adjust the reports accordingly. It has made my business organized and flow with ease. Pros Tutor Bird made my business more efficient by providing online scheduling of clients, invoicing, payments, keeping records, and tracking business income/expenses. Everything I need for running the business is in one place, completely organized. Tutor Bird also provides me with a business website. Cons The only item I would change in having "make-up credit" just be "credit". This term is more conducive to prepaid services that are being scheduled later by the client. Review Source aM amy M. I hesitated using a pay-by-the-month system at first, but soon found it was totally worth it. Pros I especially like that TutorBird allows me to schedule students, track attendence, expenses & revenue, as well as materials on loan to students all in once place. The app lets me see my daily schedule at a glance, as well as log payments when I am away from my computer. The color-coded event options make the calendar even more user friendly. I am able to do all of this in one place. I couldn't live without Tutorbird! Pros I love that I have access to so many features! It is very efficient to send emails individually or in bulk straight from TutorBird. I am not sure if it can be integrated with Hubspot. Pros First time user - TutorBird is our Franchise choice. I like the home view which gives a clear indication of all our bookings for the day at a glance. Also the fact that we can view past attendance notes without going into individual account saves a lot of time. Cons Expenses and other revenue - we have team members / supervisors who run the class and access TutorBird for attendance and notes. They do not need access to this Expenses and other revenue tab. It would be good to have limited access to the rest of the team as we have casual and part time staff who need access to TutorBird for attendance and note taking. We have also begun to use it to track tutor hours for payroll. It allows the tutoring end of our business to run rather smoothly with all of the student and family info in one place. Another benefit is having all of the tutor information accessible to all tutoring staff. It is efficient and helpful. Pros I love that this platform allows our company to store pertinent student and tutor information. It is a lifesaver to keep track of attendance and make-up credits Cons I would love to see a feature that allows us to upload a file to notes to share with parents. I’m at the end of my free trial and I just signed up for my first month. Pros I like the ease of use and user interface. I also like that it shows me projections. Cons I would recommend to them that they explain the demo call you sign up for is for multiple people, not just a one on one. Also the make up credits are a bit difficult to understand. I am happy with TutorBird and would recommend it for tutors. Pros Easy to add login button from my existing website to TutorBird. Good overview of revenue and expenses. Easy to send automated emails for invoices and lesson notes etc. Easy and quick to add payments received. Very customisable pricing options for individual students and tutors. Booking events in calendar is quick and easy to edit. Cons Took some time to get to know all the features. Initially I didn’t like emails etc being sent out from TutorBird rather than my own brand. It is the best decision I could have made. I love having Stripe integrated and being able to offer the acceptance of credit cards to pay invoices. The program in intuitive and easy to use. SOOOO many options. Pros Being able to invoice automatically and allow clients to autopay. Seeing each of my tutors schedules at once. Clients able to view their accounts at any time. Cons The only downside for me is that I couldn't integrate the accounting software I was already using - Xero Reason for choosing TutorBird I liked that fact that with TutorBird I pay per tutor so that as my business changes I can afford to continue using the programme regardless of how many tutors I have. Before Tutor Bird I was using my email calendar and a notebook to track my appointments and payments. Each week I'm expanding my usage by creating email templates, experiment with the student portal and signing up for the free Paypal Pro. In the coming weeks I plan on integrating my website (once it is up and running) on to Tutor Bird as well. The fact that this is a Canadian company make me even happier! Pros What I love most about Tutor Bird is the organization of the platform. As a new user it was easy to input information about my student's, business expenses and teaching schedule. Cons For billing purposes, I would like to be able to separate invoices on family accounts. All the payments are amalgamated together in the family account. Sometimes I get confused as to which family member is up to date or not based on the balance on the account (especially when different rates for each student is applied). The option to lump the students/payments together or separate them on the Family Invoices section, would be helpful.
