Great customer service. Friendly, very helpful and efficient staff. Easy to get hold of. Fantastic product which has really helped us run our lost property more efficiently.

Pros

The Notlost software is very easy to use - Especially after the initial onboarding training. It is quick and simple with useful features that can be designed and tweaked especially for our individual needs. The photo option saves a huge amount of time trying to match items with enquirers. Being an admin staff also opens up features which show how many items have been matched/ expired etc which is very useful.

Cons

Some of the suggested matching seems way out. Maybe the criteria for matching items needs adjusting. ie match by colour as a priority. It would be useful to be able to filter out the returned and expired items from the list of enquiries. Some extra categories have been added for us but there are a few that we have been advised not to add that we feel would benefit us.

Reason for choosing NotLost

We liked the contact we had with Ali. He was very helpful and explained the benefits of NotLost without being too pushy. All communication ran smoothly and onboarding was hassle free.

Pros

The best thing about the software was that it enables lost property across sites to be collated, so it is easier to see all the lost property that corresponds to a particular search.

Cons

Some of the wording for the different sections can be confusing, such as Ongoing. Also, the Matches often seem to throw up matches that match only in the vaguest of ways. Having to put in a telephone number for each item collected can be frustrating with it is for something of no value.

Hi Helen. Thanks for the review. So Ongoing is just the state of an item that is no longer New, Returned or Expired - so it's just an ongoing item. The matching engine uses four main variables when suggesting a match: the title, the date it was reported lost, the category and the colour. It then provides a percentage of likely match when suggested, meaning you should be able to see easily items that only have a vague resemblance to the enquiry and ignore them if they aren't relevant. Having to add a phone number is only a requirement for the seeker as you need an alternative means by which to contact them. There is a custom field in your system for found items to include a phone number, but that would have been a request from the team who bought the system at the start. It's not a required field as far as I'm aware.

And when it comes to expiry, we can help arrange charity donations, a full recycling service including pick up at no charge to you, or responsible disposal (including data cleaning etc.). Pros

Very easy integration to our systems, very easy to use, user friendly, excellent features and software is regularly updated to improve use

Cons

I think the most recent software updates have significantly improved

Pros

its quick and easy to use, allows us to give our guests the best outcome when they have lost something sentimental or important.

There have been the odd issue with the software but they have been corrected very quickly

So far the positives have outweighed the negatives and it seems to be working well.

Pros

Logging of items and checking found property against reports of lost items is easy, the system does it and prompts you with a suggested match.

Cons

The items have a unique reference number, as do the reported loss enquiry. When an item is returned to the owner, the item reference is updated, but as yet, the enquiry reference doesn't automatically change in line with it and the system continues sending emails after the item and owner have been reunited. This has resulted in the owner's frustration and annoyance and to their complaining.

Alistair provided training and constant support since the system was first introduced to us! Really appreciate the communication being so easy

Pros

I like the ease of use both for staff and students. The matching engine has made life much easier!

Cons

I think the only problem we have is that we work with multiple departments on one campus so that makes use difficult with so many different uses and sharing data

The NotLost system has thought of everything you could need to log and review lost property, and makes reuniting customers with their property much simpler. Overall, a great simple, effective system that I would definitely recommend.

Pros

The ease of use of this system. Simply take a photograph and enter the details. The software prompts you for what to complete, and having a photographic record makes it easier to identify property.

Cons

I can't think of any cons as any requests have been addressed by the NotLost team.

We're returning items that customers have left in taxis. It works really well for it.

Pros

I like the ease of sending the data to the individual whio has lost the property, I like how it autogenerates the item id. Really good software.

Cons

Lots of manually inputting of data. This can be frustratingly time consuming - especiall having to go to the review section after initially doing it

For me it has been able to keep an eye on lost items that turn out to be needed at different buildings from where the item has been found

Pros

Its allowed us to rol this out to all our buildings and public spaces on the campus so we are now all joined up , Its ease of use has been most benificial

None it works well for us no complaints so far
