### "User-friendly MDM with an exciting cross-platform future"

February 11, 2026

4.0

Our overall experience has been very positive. Iru has simplified our device management significantly. The combination of ease of use, responsive support, and the move toward a truly cross-platform solution makes it a reliable choice for our team. We are very satisfied with this solution.

Pros

The platform is incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. What I value most is their expansion into Windows management, allowing us to bring all our devices under one "roof." Additionally, the admin support is top-notch—having a direct chat right inside the application makes getting help extremely fast and efficient.

Cons

Currently, the Windows management side doesn't offer all the features we need just yet compared to the macOS side. However, seeing their development pace, I am confident that these missing features will be implemented in the near future.

Reason for choosing Iru

We chose Iru primarily because of its competitive pricing and exceptional admin support. Unlike other complex solutions, their direct in-app chat support is a huge advantage—it's incredibly easy to get immediate help with any configuration. This combination of affordability and having an expert available at your fingertips made it a much better fit for us than more expensive and over-complicated alternatives.

### "Simple to use, deeply capable, and the best value for dollar I get period as an IT Manager"

January 31, 2026

5.0

Exceptionally positive. From first onboarding, their support and engineering team have been reachable, knowledgeable, and so so kind and helpful. Their product team is innovative, and are adding the features that I as am administrator want to see. And when they do roll out totally new functionality like they have done somewhat recently with EDR, with vulnerability management, and with cross-platform device management - it is EASY to show my executive team why moving to Iru for those needs is the right choice.

Pros

The first thing that drew my organization is was an MDM provider that is focused first and foremost on supporting our Apple-based ecosystem of devices - and Iru from day one has excelled at that. But as time has gone on and we have remained extremely happy customers, the platform has expanded to meet not just our Apple device management needs, but now cover our EDR needs, our vulnerability reporting, management for the few windows and android devices in our fleet - all while remaining easy to use, easy to navigate to where we need to go quickly, and constantly adding new quality of life features. They are committed to growth, not just into new sectors or categories - but to growing the product to make my job as an administrator using their tools easier and more effective.

Cons

give me D A R K M O D E please. I love your platform and the only thing that would make me love it more would be avoiding the flash bang of loading into my Iru dash from other white-on-black interfaces

### "A Clean and Easy-to-Use Platform for Everyday Management"

February 10, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Iru has been positive. Its ease of use makes handling daily tasks straightforward and efficient, allowing me to focus more on the work itself rather than managing the tool.

Pros

I particularly liked how easy Iru was to use. The interface is clean and intuitive, which made day-to-day tasks straightforward and efficient. In addition, the customer service was responsive and helpful, making it easy to get support when needed.

Cons

The built-in AI features were the least useful aspect for me. While the idea is promising, in practice they didn’t add as much value as expected and felt limited compared to how I would ideally like to use AI within my workflows. I also found the lack of built-in remote support to be a drawback, as this is something other platforms offer and can be very useful for day-to-day support.

Reason for choosing Iru

I chose Iru because it offered a clean, intuitive interface and was easy to use right from the start. The simplicity of the setup and the overall user experience made it a better fit for my daily workflow compared with other options that felt more complex or cluttered. Additionally, the responsive customer service gave me confidence that any questions or issues would be handled quickly, which was an important factor in my decision.

### "A must try for Mac admins starting out"

January 20, 2026

5.0

Overall, I enjoyed my experience with Iru. As someone who came from Jamf, Iru has simplified a lot of tasks which required me to spend time investigating and solving myself (including raising the issue with support team and rarely getting a solution out of it). Compared to Jamf it isn't as customisable, however Iru does its job well (including the available support team), and do recommend for any Mac admins only starting out in the MDM space.

Pros

\-Clean, graphical display of the blueprint (profiles) deployed to devices. Can trace devices individually to see what profiles were deployed -Knowledgable support team that can answer issues and integrations -Clean interface where non-tech teams (like auditors) can look at without jumping through multiple hoops (eg. dashboard for vulnerability scans) -Fast updates and notifications with the platform's compatibility with latest OS

Cons

\-Currently the Iru AI, but this is more from a maturity perspective -The link to the Knowledge Base articles use to be easily found, currently have to search via Google to access it.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Iru

While JAMF allowed more customisation, it however meant spending more time tinkering features that could be easily built-in. In particular, support were rarely helpful in resolving issues or answering questions.

### "Effortless MDM with Seamless Out-of-Box Provisioning"

December 4, 2025

5.0

Iru is solving our biggest challenge of maintaining a consistent security and compliance baseline across our rapidly growing fleet of Apple devices. It allows us to remotely enforce encryption, install critical security updates, and deploy required applications automatically. Crucially, Iru has made our device provisioning entirely hands-off. We can now simply ship a brand-new device directly to a user, and it automatically enrolls, configures, and secures itself right out of the box (OOBe) using Kandji's integration with Apple Business Manager. The immediate benefit is a massive reduction in manual IT workload, significant time savings for the IT team, and a reliable way to ensure zero-trust alignment for all endpoints, regardless of the user's location.

Pros

The ease of use and intuitive interface of Iru are exceptional. The platform allowed us to achieve full device management for our Mac and iOS fleet incredibly fast, making the Ease of Implementation a major upside. We especially appreciate the one-click actions, pre-built Blueprints, and how straightforward it is to deploy apps and enforce compliance. Their Customer Support has also been responsive and extremely knowledgeable whenever we've needed assistance.

Cons

While there's very little to dislike, we are looking forward to the continued expansion of features, particularly for advanced Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) capabilities and deeper integration with other core security platforms we use. This is a minor point, as the platform is already excellent for our core MDM needs.

Alternatives considered

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)

Reason for choosing Iru

We chose Iru over competitors like Jamf and general UEM tools primarily because of its Apple-first simplicity and competitive pricing. Iru offers a comprehensive feature set for macOS and iOS management—including fantastic zero-touch provisioning and integrated security tools—but with a much more intuitive interface and significantly lower total cost of ownership compared to Jamf Pro. The ease of setup and the ability to maintain compliance without extensive manual scripting or specialized certifications made Iru the clear winner for our small IT team.

### "Easy to Deploy MDM, set it and forget it! "

January 30, 2026

4.0

Its been good. We spend very little time maintaining our macs or worrying about them. The price makes it attractive to stay with.

Pros

Iru is simple to deploy and and maintain. Its a great tool if you have very little mac experience and need something straight forward for deployment. Lots of out of the box configurations that require little to no coding experience. The price is also a great value.

Cons

The biggest thing Iru doesnt have is Remote Control. We don't like that we have to buy a second tool to fill this gap. If you are an experienced Mac Admin and have been using tools like Jamf for a long time, you might find it frustrating to use because it just does a lot of things automatically. If you like granular configurations, Iru's simplified approach takes some getting used to and comfortability with having less control. Ive heard the servers only exist in the US, might make it a problem for global companies (something to investigate).

### "The Kandji effect!"

August 19, 2025

5.0

The migration from JAMF to Kandji was a seamless transition for our team. The new platform's intuitive and user-friendly interface made it easy for everyone to adapt, leading to a very positive experience and a great value for the price! Overall, Kandji has provided a truly positive and efficient experience for our entire team.

Pros

Since we've adopted Kandji, it's become a favorite tool across our team, mainly due to its versatility and ease of use. Key Features We Appreciate: Streamlined Device Management: Actions like managing, resetting, locking, or deleting a device are straightforward and save us a significant amount of time. Powerful Integrations: The built-in API connections allow us to expand our automation capabilities, making our workflows more efficient. Excellent Customer Support: The support team is consistently responsive and helpful, which has made a huge difference for us. Efficient Blueprint System: The ability to use multiple blueprints is a game-changer. It makes updating and triggering patch management easy, and allows us to deploy specific configurations to different departments or user groups seamlessly.

Cons

### "A Game-Changer for Apple Device Management and Compliance"

October 8, 2025

5.0

Our overall experience has been outstanding. Kandji has simplified device onboarding, automated patch and update management, and elevated our compliance posture significantly. Security enforcement is reliable, reporting is clear, and the platform’s client support team genuinely listens to feedback — we’ve even seen feature requests make it into production. It’s rare to find a tool that empowers both IT and end users, but Kandji achieves exactly that. It’s become a cornerstone of our device management and compliance strategy.

Pros

Kandji strikes the perfect balance between powerful enterprise management and user-friendly design. The learning curve is minimal — within days, our team was confidently deploying devices, enforcing security baselines, and automating compliance. The features are rich yet thoughtfully organized; Blueprints, Auto Apps, and compliance templates make it effortless to maintain a secure, standardized macOS environment. Device management feels modern and dynamic — everything from app deployment to custom scripts and profile management just works. Customer support is exceptional: fast responses, technically skilled engineers, and proactive follow-ups that go far beyond typical SaaS support. For what it delivers, Kandji offers excellent value for money, especially compared to legacy MDM tools.

Cons

There’s very little to dislike. Occasionally, advanced configurations (like custom PPPC or FDA profiles) require some trial and error, but the documentation and support team quickly bridge the gap. A few more granular scheduling and reporting options would be a great future addition.

### "MDM That Simplifies macOS Management"

July 21, 2025

5.0

Our overall experience with Kandji has been very positive. The platform significantly simplified macOS management and compliance, reducing manual work through automation and pre-built controls. Deployment was smooth, and end-user experience has improved with fewer support touchpoints. Kandji's focus on Apple-first design is clear, and support from their team has been responsive and helpful. For organizations deeply invested in the Apple ecosystem, Kandji delivers strong value and operational efficiency.

Pros

Kandji stands out for its modern and intuitive user interface, making macOS device management simple and efficient even for teams with limited Apple expertise. The pre-built library of security and configuration profiles (Auto Apps, Parameters, Blueprints) significantly reduces setup time and ensures compliance with industry standards out-of-the-box. The platform’s automation capabilities—such as auto-remediation, zero-touch deployment, and seamless integration with Apple Business Manager—greatly enhance operational efficiency. Kandji also provides excellent visibility into device health and compliance status through real-time dashboards and reports. Overall, it’s a well-designed solution built with the Apple ecosystem in mind.

Cons

While Kandji offers a polished and user-friendly experience, it currently lacks support for managing non-Apple devices, which limits its use in mixed-environment organizations.

### "Easy deployment at scale, best MDM experience out there"

July 17, 2025

5.0

Kadji has been amazing and the support and Customer Success management teams are second to none. I have never had a random issue that I wasn't able to resolve over chat with an engineer. I have even had custom scripts created for us and video calls with support engineers in the States to resolve complicated issues.

Pros

The ease of deployment and migration to Kandji from other MDMs or no MDM at all was the winner for us. The support team created a migration PKG for us that enrolled the user in the proper blueprint as well as walked the end user through the mobileconfig profile installation and prompts. Easiest tool onboarding I have ever gone through.

Cons

I would love more granularity in the device filtering and search. The do update the device page pretty regularly though, so its possible the limitations I previously had are no longer an issue.

### "Switching to Kandji/Iru"

Pros

I was first attracted the ease of use, but later also fell in love with the update and patch management structures. The customer support is outstanding and for me, the switch to Iru has been good value for money. The transition from our old device management was simple and the Iru rep assigned to me knew all about all I had to do to make it happen.

Cons

### "Pretty solid solution with some room to grow"

January 22, 2026

4.0

I have used IRU in two companies, previously well certified in Jamf. There is still a learning curve when going form one to the other.

Pros

I like that IRU does almost everything you'd want when it comes to managing macs. It's got about 90% of the way there on various aspects of mac management. Windows being added is a great move and I look forward to seeing that functionality grow.

Cons

There is some more granular features I'd like to see. And I'd love a new billing model. Batches of 25 are not suitable for smaller cost concious companies.

### "Repeat, happy customer for Iru"

January 27, 2026

A great solution that saves me a heap of time and having to remember maintenance updates and software roll outs with our 40-50 machines. The time its saved me through its automation and end point defence monitoring well and truly outweighs the subscription. Have renewed several years in a row as a result.

Pros

Very flexible blueprints for our Mac network - allows me to customise a range of use cases from a large pre-built library, plus add my own custom items. Had great support from Iru with some of the trickier deployment aspects.

Cons

Very few cons to Iru. It's not cheap but is priced appropriately for the standard it delivers. Really little else to complain about.

### "Reliable, Modern, and User-Friendly Apple Device Management"

October 1, 2025

5.0

Overall, Kandji has been an excellent solution for managing our Apple fleet. It has streamlined IT operations, simplified onboarding, and provided peace of mind around security and compliance. The product continues to evolve in meaningful ways, and it’s clear that the team listens to customer feedback. I’d recommend it to any organization looking for a reliable and modern Apple device management platform.

Pros

Kandji makes Apple device management incredibly smooth and intuitive. The automation around app deployment, compliance enforcement, and OS updates saves a significant amount of time and reduces manual errors. The zero-touch deployment is excellent for onboarding, and the admin console is well-designed, clear, and easy to navigate compared to other MDM solutions. Support is also responsive and knowledgeable, which adds a lot of confidence when running it at scale.

Cons

While it’s very strong on Apple management, there are moments where flexibility is limited. Some advanced workflows require custom scripting rather than being natively supported. Reporting could also be more detailed, and integrations with third-party tools sometimes feel less robust than what competitors offer. Pricing is also on the higher end, which might be a consideration for smaller organizations.

### "Great hands off MDM."

The new workflows are a great improvement over the old blueprints. The prism gives us all the answers we are looking for, be it to hunt down some shadow IT tooling or be it for compliance reasons during an audit.

Pros

The support team and success managers are really great to work with. The product makes device management straightforward, it's feature-rich without being overwhelming, and it handles updates and patch management effortlessly. They are constantly adding new features, also from feature requests, which demonstrates great value for money.

### "Wonderfully easy Mac MDM!"

November 4, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Iru has made managing our deployed Macs almost entirely hassle-free! I rarely have problems from our end users, and when they throw a tough issue up the chain, Iru has support engineers on the ready to resolve any issue!

Pros

Kandji was easy to setup and get our users started with. Since getting all our Macs onto it, we've had less issues with our Mac users than Windows. Once everything is setup, you can pretty much forget it (or at least until Apple makes OS changes you need to address.) Passport has also been handy for allowing our Mac users to utilize SSO for account login, like their Windows counterparts. Account managers and tech support are super friendly and quick to resolve issues.

Cons

This is not a dislike, but more of constructive criticism. It would be nice if Kandji could recognize when uploaded Profiles are out of date and incompatible with currently supported systems.

### "Do not look further for your Apple MDM"

November 10, 2025

5.0

I am rarely as excited to talk about a product as I do with Kandji, but there are very few products and solutions on the market that completely overshadow their second best.

Pros

I started with Kandji a few years back, when they were still at the seeding stage. At the time I had tested Intune, Jamff and Hexnode but I was immediately struck by the ease of use and the lightning fast communication between Kandji and my devices. Besides the extensive knowledge base, I found that customer support was knowledgeable and helpful, they helped me to go through some scripts that allowed me to fully customise my profiles. I can now update and patch my iOS and MacOS devices with complete effortlessness. I am Kandji's first fan and from what I can see, Iru thought the same as I did and are starting to build on this fantastic product.

Cons

Kandji was more expensive than other solutions when I picked it, especially when compared to Jamff that has offers for the education and government sector. This is however largely offset by the performance of the product, and justified by the fact that every penny put into kandji goes into the development of this first-in-class state of the art platform.

### "Solid MDM with great support!"

October 23, 2025

I've used Kandji at two different companies now and it's been great at both. The visibility into what's happening across all our devices is excellent. The functionality covers pretty much everything we need for managing our Macs. It's made my job a lot easier and saved us a ton of time on device management tasks

Pros

The support team is honestly amazing. Whenever I've reached out they actually get back to me quickly. The whole platform is super intuitive, which is huge because I don't have to spend forever training people on it. I really appreciate how customizable everything is. We're not stuck with one size fits all settings, we can actually make it work for our specific scenario. Also, the user community in Mac Admins is really active and helpful, which has saved me more than once when I needed to figure something out.

Cons

The pricing structure is a bit confusing and tier based but they work with ya. The vulnerability and threat detection features are pretty cool, but they're still fairly new so they're not quite as robust as I'd like them to be yet. I'm sure they'll get there though. One small thing that has bugged me for years haha, is that Xcode isn't in the auto apps list, which would make life easier for our devs since we have to manually handle that deployment.

### "Kandji, the best Apple MDM I have ever seen"

October 8, 2025

5.0

Great! No issues. If there are issues their customer service team is onyl a chat box away. The turnaround time is always commendable.

Pros

User-friendly and comprehensive in what we want to do as a consulting company. The ability to push custom solutions through Kandji is an additional plus as a technical team, that is something we do day to day. A plus to it is also its ability to identify devices that are misconfigured, out of date in terms of updates and correct them whether automatically or through interaction from us. How could I forget this? The customer service is absolutely top tier! If anything, that is the one thing that will always be the difference maker between similar products. We value a top tier customer support team and that is Kandji!

Cons

Addtional pricing options for smaller companies. The minimum amount of devices per company should be revised as often times companies have far less apple devices vs let us say a Windows and Androdi devices.

Lack of options from a MDM standpoint. Limited in what we as a company are/were trying to achieve. Also, customer service, that was a key selling point from Kandji.

### "Great support that feels like an extension of our IT team"

September 23, 2025

5.0

The customer support has been excellent. Often SAAS providers just offer a great pre-sales experience but fall down once you sign up. However Kandji has truly offered hands-on problem solving even in cases where we're asking them to help us solve 3rd party issues like help with custom scripting or installing unsupported 3rd party software. It truly feels like we have an extended IT team in our business thanks to Kandji support.

Pros

The interface, pre-set software and configuration inclusions, built-in security blue-prints, and the truly responsive customer support make Kandji extremely easy and valuable to our business.

Cons

Bundling extras like Endpoint Detection and Response and Vulnerability Management mean potentially additional costs for important security and management features, although the cost aren't too high and the features are good value.

Alternatives considered

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)

Reason for choosing Iru

Jamf looks like a robust legacy product, but it's more complicated and lacking some of Kandji's innovations. It's also more expensive and cumbersome to set up.

The UI and functionality was way slicker from both an admin and user perspective. The integrations with Google Workspace (especially Passport login) were much easier. The self service setup is really elegant and the user experience for device setup and maintenance is way better

### "Excellent Product"

January 7, 2026

5.0

Overall our experience with Iru/Kandji has been great. It just works. Any time we have ran into an issue the support team is a quick chat away from getting expert help to address our issue promptly. Patch management has been extremely easy just a few clicks to get the latest OS and software patches pushed to end users.

Pros

Iru/Kandji is an excellent product that comes in at fractions of the cost of other competitors. The features we use all work seamlessly.

Cons

That it only works with Mac and not Windows :) The only thing I can think of as a con would be the built in app library not containing all of our applications. This was easy enough to work around with custom apps and excellent help from the support team.

Iru was built specifically with the Mac in mind. It made managing Mac's a lot easier.

### "Phenomenal"

January 15, 2026

5.0

Its been incredible. The entire project to migrate off of Jamf and onto Kandji/Iru took us one week from start to finish. We started late because our Jamf contract was up for renewal and we had just discovered Kandji/Iru. The project went off without a hitch and we have never looked back.

Pros

It is extremely powerful and flexible while still being incredibly easy to use. Things that used to be difficult in Jamf are a breeze with Kandji / Iru.

Cons

I prefer the old name and logo for Kandji. Really havent liked the name change and I still need to migrate our tenant to support it.

Reason for choosing Iru

Kandji / Iru did everything Jamf did but better and easier.

### "Iru Endpoint Management has been excellent for us"

December 10, 2025

5.0

Iru (formerly Kandji) has been an excellent MDM for us over the past four years. While we haven't explored the identity or vulnerability management side of things, they certainly have piqued my interest. I would recommend Iru.

Pros

One of the biggest things I like about Iru, besides the clean layout and ease of use, is assignment maps, which are a flexible way to assign different profiles to various machines without having to use multiple templates.

Cons

If there is anything I don't like about Iru, it would be the pricing. With the device count minimums, for smaller companies, it makes it harder to get budget approval.

Alternatives considered

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)

Reason for choosing Iru

We chose Iru over Jamf Pro due to reviews and ease of use and clean UI.

We needed more advanced profiles and to be able to comply with different frameworks like CIS/NIST.

### "IRU: Effortless for Most, Challenging at the Edges"

October 23, 2025

5.0

Overall, it’s a no-brainer. With a bit of effort, almost anyone can use Kandji. The learning curve is far shorter than most competitors; it’s very much a “click here to go to the next page” experience.

Pros

Iru is simple to use and much faster to set up than most other MDMs. Policies apply reliably without needing endless custom configuration, and the documentation is excellent; clear, practical, and genuinely user-friendly rather than just a technical developer guide.

Cons

Simplicity has limits. Handling edge-case configurations can be harder compared to more conventional MDMs, where custom settings and transfers are easier. Community support also isn’t as broad, so finding solutions for niche problems can take longer.

### "Very Happy With Kandji. Excellent MDM"

September 10, 2025

5.0

Our experience with Kandji has been excellent. Everything works as expected without hassle! When I push commands or scripts through Kandji, it has the expected logs too. Support is an absolute bright part of the Kandji offering, with chat and knowledgeable reps who are happy to help and give a hand. Definitely a much better option than email based support, which can be common in MDM.

Pros

Kandji is quick to learn, great at managing Apple devices and doesn't take a lot of time. I've played with quite a few MDMs and most require a significant learning curve, with hidden surprises that impact users, and the admin is just supposed to somehow learn it.

Cons

I don't really have anything negative to say about the Kandji product. There is definitely room for new features or integrations, but the current setup is very solid.

Switched from

[Addigy](https://www.capterra.com/p/154787/Addigy/)

Our previous vendor was pretty good, but was more complicated to manage than Kandji, especially the app library. We couldn't just set it up and basically forget it, we had to regularly apply new versions of apps as they appeared in the library, instead of just automatically updating within a set schedule. Addigy isn't a bad MDM, it just wasn't the best fit for a lean team.
