### "A huge leap forward for our team when managing Apple devices"

September 12, 2025

5.0

Kandji has been revolutionary for our team and we now manage all aspects of Apple devicement Mangement easily. The platform has ended up being great value for money and we are now confident our devices are secure and our users are happy. Features like Passport, Liftoff Blueprints all with clean and modern interface means our etams and users love using Kandji.

Pros

Having managed MDM plaforms for 15 years, we found migrating to Kandji was a huge step forward for us and feels like a highly capable, secure and modern platform that has streamlined our Apple Device Management. Managing devices via blueprint is smart, logical and easy to understand what is going on with a device. Previous platforms have left us totally bewildered at times as to what is triggered and where and can be overly complex for a small IT team. Kandji has revolutionised this process for us and allowed us to confidently configure end to end device mangagment, onboarding flows securely and confidently. Customer support were super helpful in the migration process and was very easy tmove our whole estate in just a few days.

Cons

Coming from other platforms that are very powerful with granular settings, but often difficult to use, we intitially found we had to reframe our thinking using blueprints and a lack of smart groups. However once you overcome this you realise just how powerful yet simple to manage to platform is. Auto app updates can be a bit annopying as the user is nagged frequently and this should be configurable to make the user experience more enjoyable.

### "Powerful and Easy to Use MDM tool!"

July 14, 2025

5.0

Kandji helps us manage our devices to ensure our compliance and contractual obligations by providing us with easy to use controls and meaningful support. It has helped us streamline the processes around our requirements given us time back to work on other projects.

Pros

In a word...simplicity. Kandji has streamlined our enrollment, usability, and ongoing administration of our devices. Support is quick to respond and very helpful. Prebuilt blueprints, like those for CIS controls, make quickly achieving a minimum level of security easy.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to organize devices into groups, but I understand that tagging can achieve similar results.

### "Apple device management made simple with Kandji"

September 9, 2025

5.0

The experience is overwhelmingly positive and we have reduced a lot of friction for our staff when it comes to Apple device Management

Pros

The ease of use, especially how easy it was to understand the project as a power user and how easy it was to move over from our previous provider

Cons

Certain aspects differed from our previous solution that we had gotten used to in terms of management. Once we learned Kandji’s way of doing things we adapter quickly

### "IRU Works Well from time of Install"

November 4, 2025

5.0

IRU was one of those products that worked from the time of install. I tried other products and even broke a contract with another MDM vendor because I disliked the product so much. IRU was easy to setup and worked right away. I have never wanted a feature it did not have, and I can always trust that it is working correctly. I love products like that. Not too complicated and work from the beginning without tons of customization.

Pros

IRU is designed from the groud up with Apple products in mind. I like this. It means that the policies you can set work very well and are very clear. It just works very well.

Cons

When it comes to MDMs, you get a decision point on using multiple products that are very good at what they do with a particular device type or trying to use one product that does all products just ok. I took the multiple product route and use IRU for Apple devices and another MDM for Windows devices. Both work very well.

### "Fantastic Apple Device management and Patching"

January 23, 2026

5.0

Iru has saved us a ton of time maintaining our fleet while ensuring we are secure in today's world. Support is always quick to respond and very helpful. Our end users were really happy with how easy it was to migrate over, and they love the Kandji self support portal.

Pros

Patch management. Saves tons of time both on the application and the OS side. Device management. Easily ensure secure deployments and the ability to meet compliance requirements while being a very small internal team.

Cons

Some edge cases with custom app creation can be annoying. I'd like to be able to upload a folder with a pkg file and run it, as they need the context of additional files. However, this is something that can be worked around, and is more of an edge case.

### "An excellent tool, but not very appealing due to its cost."

October 16, 2025

5.0

I worked with Kandji from 2020 to 2022 and started using it again this year. It remains, in my opinion, an excellent MDM tool, with strong support and well-written documentation. Unfortunately, the relatively high price has prevented me from adopting it in some other companies.

Pros

The tool is very easy to use, and the UX is quite intuitive — not to mention the speed at which configurations are applied to the devices. It offers excellent macOS patch management and a wide range of configuration options in the Library.

Cons

For now, I think the way the Assignment Map is edited can be a bit complex, especially when considering the management of over a thousand devices. However, it works well for my current use case. I just believe it would be helpful to have an easier way to create exceptions within blueprints. I also think there should be more monitoring features, something similar to the Vulnerabilities section, which turned out great, but focused on devices instead. Perhaps graphs showing computer usage rates, running processes, and installed tools... Something along those lines would be very useful to gain deeper insights into the device fleet.

### "Kandji is indispensable!"

August 19, 2025

5.0

Kandji was one of the easiest platforms to get going. We had a few initial goals in mind, first was to get a good out of the box experience with new Macs, and once we linked Kandji with Apple Business Manager, that was done. Second was to enable Mac users to use their Okta credentials on their machines so we didn't have separate usernames and passwords and, Mac accounts adhered to our organization's complexity policy and change requirements. Third was to enforce encrypted hard drives and to escrow the keys. Kandji obviously does so much more but our basic requirements were met on day one.

Pros

Kandji was very easy for us to implement and integrates with Apple Business Manager effortlessly. We were up and running with our first few test machines and some basic policies in just a couple of hours.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything. Like most software, there is some learning curve and if you've never used a tool, you'll need a few minutes to understand context and to figure out what you need to meet your objectives.

### "Kandji is my favorite pick for Apple Device Management"

September 14, 2025

5.0

Competent staff and product offering. Great value for the cost and coverage. Excellent support when you encounter any issues. Intuitive and usable service we appreciate with every onboarding and offboarding scenario!

Pros

The ease of use and quick conveyance of information in the device and user views is most effective. Integration with Okta SSO and Apple Business Manager for procurement is a breeze. We also use a third party compliance provider that supports Kandji for device attestation and endpoint security controls.

Cons

Some of the troubleshooting of particular blueprint and OS / application constraints are annoying to debug. This is a hard problem, not their fault.

### "Simple and Reliable macOS Device Management"

January 28, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with Iru has been positive. It’s a solid solution for managing and securing macOS devices, and it’s been reliable for our day-to-day needs. Support has also been responsive when we’ve needed help.

Pros

Iru makes it easy to manage our macOS devices without a lot of overhead. Enrollment is smooth, policies are straightforward to configure, and the interface is easy to work with day to day. It does what we need without getting in the way.

Cons

Pricing can be a bit high as the environment grows, and some advanced features take a bit of time to fully explore, but nothing that has been a blocker for us.

### "Moving from the complexity of Jamf to the intuitive simplicity of Kandji"

August 28, 2025

5.0

It's been fantastic to have migrated from Jamf to Kandji. We had a single engineer complete the task in a fairly short timeline, and this resulted in both a saving of costs and also a much more manageable MDM service for our Macs.

Pros

Kandji has a brilliantly designed and user friendly interface. The simplicity and feel of the admin console makes up-skilling new admins very quick and intuitive. Navigating the UI and using the system is quick and efficient.

Cons

Kandji has historically lacked some granularity and logic in management of devices. Blueprints (the mechanism of grouping apps, policies and more to apply to devices) were quite rigid. However this is being addressed now with 'new' blueprint flows which contain conditional branching logic.

### "Living my best IT Admin life managing our fleet with Kandji."

August 4, 2025

5.0

Overall, I cannot out in to words how life changing Kandji has been for our IT team, and for the end-users at our organization. Previously there were so many pain points, disruptions of life, and a continual never ending effort in managing our fleet. Since we migrated, everyone from our new hires, and to our oldest members in the org-- everyone notices how clean, simple, seamless and un-disruptive Kandji has been for them. We save money, get tremendous value our of Kandji, and more --importantly-- as an IT team, we get a tremendous amount of our time back to do / work on other projects without having to worry about how our fleet is doing.

Pros

There are several things that I like the most about Kandji: 1. Migrating from jamf was super easy and seamless with the pkg created for us by the Kandji team. 2. Not having to manage app updates due to Auto Apps is a game changer. I no longer have to set calendar reminders to manually update dmg or pkg files for apps. 3. Their 24/5 customer support is just -insane-. Coming from several MDM platforms, I can tell you that having to scroll through forums, or mac admins for support was a daily occurrence. However, with Kandji-- I can simply hit the chat button and actually chat with a human to explain my issue/needs and they have delivered a solution each and every time. 4. The ease of use, and the ease to teach our team -how- to use Kandji was a complete shock to me. With other MDM's, you have to go through several rounds of trainings, testing & certifications which is just frankly- ridiculous. We are in the modern age, and the tools we use in enterprise need to catch up. It is unacceptable the bar that IT admins have to clear to standup or operate their fleet through other MDM platforms. Kandji just works, and I learned 90% of what I use in the day to day in a 60 minute zoom call. COME ON! That's so sick. And I have the at least the same functionality (and some) than I did before with other platforms + everyone that joins the team acclimates in a matter of hours to the Kandji platform.

Cons

For starters, that it took them so long to come to market hahahahahha! But better late than never. On a serious note, my only gripe is that I wish we could see a list of "feature requests" others have positioned to the Kandji team so that we could "vote" on what features get worked on next from a customer standpoint. There are a few quality of life changes that I'd like to see / have already submitted as feedback/feature requests. I think that level of transparency could help a lot. Other than that, we have not encountered any major issue that has come remotely close to us even thinking about leaving Kandji. So to the Kandji team I say keep up the great work!

### "Five stars - happy I found Kandji"

August 6, 2025

5.0

I have enjoyed using it. Having come from a JAMF background I find it a breath of fresh air. Almost everything I need for my Macs is in Kandji and its ease of use wastes little of my time.

Pros

Single pane of glass approach is great but most beneficial is the preset blueprints for compliance making my life a lot easier at a reasonable price point.

Cons

The help section's search is not very effective - takes some getting used to when looking for some of the more arcane items. It is likely a good place to add in some AI for simplicity. Kai is ok but not here.

### "Streamlining our device management - and it's beautiful!"

August 12, 2025

5.0

Our overall experience with Kandji has been fantastic. The platform performs smoothly, the interface is a pleasure to use, and the integration with our Apple devices feels effortless. Customer support has been a standout — their AI chatbot is genuinely helpful, and when it can’t solve an issue, we get connected to a real, highly knowledgeable support person almost instantly. They’ve been consistently quick to respond and capable of resolving our questions or problems. Kanji has truly streamlined our device management processes and delivered excellent support along the way. Plus the EDR and vulnerability management give us extra piece of mind!

Pros

Kandji is incredibly seamless and intuitive to use. The learning curve is almost flat — we didn’t have to spend time learning complex processes, and everything feels very natural. The UI and UX are excellent: clean, visually appealing, and aligned with the design quality we expect from Apple devices. It’s easy to navigate, well thought out, and simply makes our lives a lot easier when managing iOS and Mac devices.

Cons

The only drawback we encountered was with the pricing tiers. Initially, the structure wasn’t as transparent as we would have liked, which made it a bit tricky to figure out the best fit. However, after some discussion, we found a pricing option that worked well for us, so it was more of a minor inconvenience than an ongoing issue.

### "Kandji Review."

September 2, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Kandji has been really positive. It fills the gaps that other MDM solutions can't cover and meets all our needs.

Pros

What I really appreciate is the full range of functionality it offers for macOS devices, along with its user-friendly interface. It integrates seamlessly with our IAM system, and everything works smoothly.

Cons

### "Great product: Easy to use & well-supported for admins, unobtrusive for our end-users."

July 23, 2025

5.0

Extremely positive both from an admin/architectural standpoint, and from the user perspective. Kandji rarely causes an issue for one of our users and on the odd occasion it's happened, support was immediately available with a resolution.

Pros

That it is continuously improved is a huge bonus. It was also extremely easy to set up a minimally viable implementation and add on to it incrementally.

Cons

### "Kandji is the MDM to use in Apple only Environments"

July 24, 2025

5.0

Kandji is exceptional, from the deployment of their product, the support staff, and the continuous features being released. It has been a positive transition for our school, both from our staff and students. The IT workload from managing devices has greatly decreased, including user tickets, with proper setup, password sync, and update automation. I recommend Kandji to any school/workspace with an Apple only environment.

Pros

Kandji excels in ease of use and seamless integration into the native Apple environment. The features of Auto Apps, Passport logins, and Liftoff create an experience for our users that is seamless and intuitive, especially in a school environment. The Admin UI is clear and well-organized, allowing you to quickly view your fleet of devices and make swift changes to devices, updates, or applications. It is constantly updating its Auto App catalog, which makes tracking updates and handling deployments easy.

Cons

### "Great flexible Apple MDM"

July 21, 2025

5.0

Kandji is great. Their interface is straightforward and quick to learn. The people I have dealt with have always been polite, helpful and very fast to reply. I've had only one problem since using them (related to a setting I was deploying), and their technical support was fantastic in helping find the cause and suggesting a correction. Strongly recommended for anyone looking for an Apple MDM.

Pros

It allows scripts and apps to be deployed easily, both automatically and optionally by the user via the Self Service application. It allows control over enforcing updates meaning that staff can be given a specified window during which they can apply updates at their leisure, but with a deadline where installation is enforced. The ability to enable and disable remote support permissions has proved incredibly valuable on several occasions without leaving the potential security hole open when done.

Cons

The Self Service application allows things to be easily installed, but once they are no longer needed it doesn't supply a method to remove them.

### "Still gives me warm and fuzzy feelings"

July 29, 2025

5.0

Initially, we needed an MDM to help us standardise our onboarding and ensure all our endpoint were updated on-time. As time has progressed, we've added our custom tooling and continued to use Kandji to adapt our fleet to our needs. During the times we've had an issue, or got stuck, Kandji's support agents have been super helpful in getting us back on track.

Pros

Easy to set up, whether you only need something simple or if you need to create a complex set of requirements. With a simple learning curve and well written documentation, Kandji can scale to meet your needs.

Cons

There aren't many things to dislike, my only gripe has been the pricing structure. As a small/medium business, having to buy licences per 100 devices would make the price per endpoint jump significantly when we cross into the next hundred. I'd like to see more flexible pricing, to ensure that we can scale up/down as required.

### "Mac Device Management at its finest."

July 22, 2025

5.0

We have been using Kandji for 3+ years now. Didn't have any major issues that were on Kandji's end. Support is great , great features , new features and improvements are getting pushed constantly. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Pros

Deployment was super quick, onboarding devices i s basically a 0 click process. Kandji also has a large amount of out of the box ready to deploy apps like adobe reader and much much more , also there a self service function that works great if anyone need any extra software that you don't want to pre-install on their Mac.

Cons

I haven't encountered anything that made me dislike the system at all. But do take into consideration the system isnt meant for unexperienced IT personnel. You need at the very least a basic understanding of Mac device management in order to make the most out of kandji.

### "Great MDM for Apple products"

March 3, 2026

4.0

I've been working for about four years, and honestly, I don't have much to complain about, but some changes, sometimes, are not so welcoming.

Pros

It is a very easy tool to use; I've never had a bad experience or downtime from the platform itself. The support team is also great.

Cons

The auto app library is still not big enough. Also, some features are just unlocked if you hire the endpoint detection services. The change from blueprint to assignment map is also not great, since there are some small things you can do with blueprints that are not available on maps.

### "Kandji MDM"

July 24, 2025

5.0

Coming from multiple macOS MDM migrations, including from Jamf Pro, my overall experience with Kandji has been excellent. The platform is intuitive, streamlined, and significantly easier to manage. The support team has also been incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process.

Pros

I've tried several MDM solutions, and Kandji has been the easiest to work with. The pre-set configurations save so much time, and their support team is incredibly helpful and quick to respond. It really makes the admin experience a lot smoother.

Cons

Some advanced configurations can be a bit limited or require additional packages, but that’s also what keeps Kandji so easy and straightforward to use.

### "A Powerful Yet Simple Apple Device Management Platform"

August 6, 2025

5.0

Using Kandji has been a really positive experience. It’s clean, intuitive, and saves a lot of time thanks to its automation — especially for compliance and device setup. It’s clear they’ve built it with IT teams in mind, making routine Apple device management feel effortless. From zero-touch deployment to ongoing policy enforcement, everything just works. Support is responsive, and the platform keeps evolving with useful updates. If you’re managing a fleet of Macs and iOS devices, Kandji makes life significantly easier. Solid tool, polished experience, and great for teams who want power without the complexity.

Pros

What I like most is how it takes care of security and compliance without needing constant manual work. The setup is smooth and zero-touch deployment also works really well — new Macs basically set themselves up right out of the box. The dashboard is clean, easy to use, and gives instant visibility into what’s compliant and what’s not. Plus, their support team is quick and genuinely helpful.

Cons

Less flexibility for advanced scripting, if you want full control or deep customization, you’re sometimes limited compared to platforms like Jamf Pro.

### "The Gold Standard for Mac Management"

June 24, 2025

5.0

After using Kandji across multiple organisations for 6 years, it's become my go-to recommendation for any company managing Macs. The platform consistently saves me unmeasurable amounts of time, and the attention to detail in their product development shows they genuinely care about solving real MacAdmin problems. Despite the licensing structure challenges for smaller teams, the efficiency gains and exceptional support make it worthwhile.

Pros

The incredible time savings over 6 years of use, their commitment to building features in-house for consistent quality, and having a team consisting of ex-MacAdmins who truly understand our needs. Their support is consistently accessible, fast and knowledgeable, making every interaction productive.

Cons

The licensing model requiring purchases in bundles of 25 makes it challenging for smaller organizations. Having 101 devices but needing to pay for 125 licenses creates budget hurdles that can be difficult to justify internally.

Reason for choosing Iru

A lot of these products offered Hybrid device management suitable for Mac and Windows mixed environments, we opted for Kandji as the experience for managing Macs felt superior - enough so to consider it even in a hybrid environment - and having consistently positive experiences across a lot of previous roles I was confident in the impact implementing Kandji could have on my day-to-day work, the security posture of the company, the implementation of industry best-practices easily.

As someone working in start-ups where every hour counts, I needed an MDM that just works. Kandji's easy setup, comprehensive auto-apps library, and excellent support freed me from routine maintenance tasks, allowing me to focus on what really matters for the business. The time savings compared to Jamf have been substantial.

### "Reliable and Intuitive Apple Device Management"

June 12, 2025

5.0

Kandji has been a great tool for managing our devices. The initial setup was quick, and enrolling new devices is seamless once native integrations to your IDp and ABM are deployed. Features like zero-touch deployment, automated app installs, and real-time device status have made day-to-day management much more efficient for our lean IT team. It’s also helped us maintain a consistent security posture across all Apple devices with minimal hands-on effort.

Pros

Kandji’s clean interface and automated device compliance make managing our company's Apple fleet straightforward. The pre-built library of configurations and profiles saves a lot of setup time, and the integration with Apple Business Manager (ABM) works seamlessly.

Cons

Some advanced configurations feel limited or require workarounds, especially for edge-case device policies. Reporting can also feel a bit basic if you're looking for deeper insights or custom metrics, but they are improving with their Prism feature release ~

We switched from Fleetsmith because it was sunsetting, and Kandji offered a more modern, Apple-focused platform with better automation and support, making the transition smoother and future-proofing our device management.
