### "Easy to Use and Reliable"

December 11, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Iru has been really positive. It’s easy to use, the features work well, and device management has been smooth. One thing I really like is how changes made on the blueprint show up almost instantly on the devices, it makes tweaking things super quick and straightforward. There are a couple of small things that could be improved, like having more auto apps and being able to see the entire blueprint on one screen, but nothing that really gets in the way of day-to-day use. All in all, it’s been a solid, hassle-free experience.

Pros

The customer support and onborading with \[sensitive content hidden\] were honestly great and super easy. The system itself is really simple to use, nothing complicated, which is a big plus and a massive improvement from what we used to use. Device management works well and makes life easier, and the features in general just do what you need them to without any hassle.

Cons

Honestly, not much - just a couple of small things. It’d be great to have a bigger range of auto apps, and on the blueprint side, it’d be handy if we could see the whole blueprint on one screen. Even when you zoom all the way out, you still can’t see the full layout.

### "BEST. MDM. EVER."

July 18, 2025

5.0

Kandji solves our device management problems in a small team working from home, managing computers around the world.

Pros

Kandji is easy to use. The Self service feature is excellent and easy to manage. Deploying Kandji was easy during the trial period and I was able to replicate the most important parts of our JAMF instance in 4 days. The management of configuration profiles, scripts, and profile deployment is simple and efficient. The solution engineering team was a great support with the integration of certain scripts meeting specific needs. Compared to JAMF, Kandji allows for significantly more productivity with fewer administrators. We managed to migrate 1200 devices in 1 month with the migration agent. I use Kandji every day and with the integration to Okta, our inventory remains well organized and assigned to users. The technical support is efficient and quick if there is anything that blocks.

Cons

The inability to assign smart groups to library items, the lack of blueprint routing, and the absence of options to clear specific tags or reset a device to a default blueprint when deleted are known limitations. However, these features have been requested and are under review. The new assignment maps blueprint offers greater scoping flexibility, and while these capabilities are not built-in, they can be implemented through API scripting.

### "Positive Experience"

July 11, 2025

4.0

Overall a good and positive experience with Kandji. Like I highlighted in my pros, their customer care service is top rated, especially for inexperienced IT individuals that still don't know much about coding like myself.

Pros

The product is easy to use and the customer care team is always great and easy to communicate with compared to the other MDM service that we had previously used.

Cons

There are some features that I would love to see to make the "alert" system a bit more intuitive and easier to use. Additionally, there are a lot of blockers due to policies within Apple, which isn't entirely Kandji's fault, but there are no ways around it for our deployment to be 100% seamless.

### "Couldn't get through I.T. without you, Kandji!"

July 16, 2025

5.0

I know Kandji will reliably do what I ask of it AND look after my users and their devices in a way that doesn't prevent them from working. I don't think I've ever had a single complaint about Kandji from my users or technical managers. Easy life for me, greatly appreciated as a 1-person IT team

Pros

Product: Ease of use, reliability, new threat detection modules, assignment maps. I can manage custom scripts easily and get the reporting I need for compliance reports. Customer relations: Superb CSM - even though PicnicHealth has a small user footprint, I always feel listened to and looked after by \[sensitive content hidden\] and would definitely mention the great human experience I've had with Kandji when recommending or talking about the product.

Cons

Really nothing, Kandji is a great product that 'does what it says on the tin' and that is gold. My only gripe is that I'm never sure what tell my users when they ask what exactly the Kandji icon depicts: they say bat, chess piece, bee. I say moth.

### "Managing Apple devices? Look no further..."

July 7, 2025

5.0

Overall, I cannot recommend Kandji enough for businesses of any size. The technical capabilities, the team and the support package together nicely into an absolutely must-have package for any IT team.

Pros

Kandji is very easy to use, and allows administrators of varying ability levels to effectively secure and manage their Apple devices. As the sole technical resource at a small company, remaining lean, and allowing for changes to be made quickly is hugely important, as it leverages both efficiency, and improves user experience. Onboarding devices into Kandji was great, with a simple setup process, and LiftOff making the experience very interactive, showing users what it was doing and installing. My favourite feature of Kandji, has to be Auto Apps. These are common applications that are deployed within Kandji, which are curated by the Kandji team and are configured to allow near one-click deployment to users. When I started out, I had nightmares of packaging applications, only to find that 95% of the applications we use are available as an Auto App. Just drag and drop it into your assignment map, and you're off to the races! No worries of admin credential prompts or unnecessary user interaction. And if a package is not in Auto Apps, deploying can be as simple as uploading an install file, with Kandji giving you the option to run post-installation commands. The IdP integrations as standard is something I shouldn't have to appreciate as much as I do, but linking up our identity provider was straight-forward, and adds another layer to device management, as the device automatically assigns itself to users as they authenticate with your IdP during device setup. Huge win! And support? The team are excellent. No matter your query, you can either raise a ticket or live chat, and the team will get you up and running. They're knowledgable, friendly and patient, and all of my support queries have been resolved within 48 hours, with 90% being resolved on the live chat.

Cons

No solution is perfect, but Kandji comes closer than any. The main concern we had with Kandji was the minimum device limit when purchasing a license, as it was double the amount of users in our company, but with how quickly we've been growing, we're closely coming up to that limit! And for time saved, it's worth making the investment. I've not really got anything else to say really, functionality-wise, it's an IT admin's dream!

### "Kandji: The Best MDM After Testing Them All"

July 14, 2025

5.0

Kandji's totally streamlined the entire function of managing our Apple devices-from making sure updates are easy to do on macOS devices to the confidence in each machine being updated and secure in and of themselves, with no additional input required or sought from the end-users. That's not even mentioning other big benefits like printers, app deployment-including custom apps-and even line-of-business apps. This level of control and flexibility has saved us countless hours and eliminated headaches, allowing us to focus on more strategic tasks instead of tedious device management. It's been a game-changer for our operations!

Pros

Kandji has been a game-changer for our Apple device management. First trying Mosyle, then Hexnode, then Addigy, and after a year on Jamf Now, it's finally everything we needed: intuitive interface, robust feature set, and the automation has made the device management almost unnoticeable. Equally impressive is the customer experience. My fantastic rep, \[sensitive content hidden\], made it painless and seamless during the quoting process; she seemed really interested in what our needs would be. The support team has been equally fantastic: quick, effective, knowledgeable. With service like this on top of the functionality of Kandji, this was worth switching to.

Cons

Kandji is actually a bit pricey compared to the other solutions that we tested; however, after considering that Kandji actually is a feature-rich platform which includes all functions in the license, unlike its competitor Jamf, where some modules need to be purchased as an addition-it actually is good value in a long perspective: you get from the very box everything you want and even a bit more, so it definitely is worth this money.

### "Kandji Review!"

Overall, Kandji is a great platform for managing your Apple endpoints. I highly recommend it for any mid-sized organizations

Pros

I liked the ease of use to configure policies and blueprints for all our Apple endpoints, saving significant time.

Cons

While the ease of use is great, I do sometimes wish for more granularity. The introduction of Assignment maps have helped a bit but can be a bit tedious to configure.

### "Kandji Made MDM Easy – And That’s Saying Something"

July 9, 2025

5.0

Kandji is a masterpiece when it comes to MDMs. It is very easy to deploy and even more so when making blueprints to your Apple devices. I really liked how easy it was to deploy different apps and customization options for my devices without needing a lot of knowledge on how to do so. Very straight forward.

Pros

Kandji is the Crème de la crème of MDM's. What I really liked the most about it is that you can customize so much, specifically on iPads, to your liking. I was able to arrange the icons on the iPad homepage how I wanted them and put a self service app on there as well.

Cons

Most likely the cost of it. It is a bit steep but you do get what you pay for. If they gave nonprofit orgs discount, I would have chosen Kandji as my MDM.

### "The gold standard in MDM"

June 13, 2025

5.0

Amazing experience. Can't recommend enough! It has saved my teams hours upon hours in manual device onboarding tasks that now are effortless.

Pros

As IT administrators, we've wrestled with clunky MDM solutions for far too long. That's why Kandji has been such a breath of fresh air. We needed something that streamlined our Apple device management, and Kandji delivers. The intuitive interface meant we weren't spending hours deciphering menus, and the automation features have freed us up to focus on more strategic tasks. Kandji Passport, in particular, has been a game-changer. We've seen a significant reduction in password-related support tickets, and onboarding new employees is now a breeze. Plus, the seamless integration with our existing identity provider has made our lives much easier. We especially appreciate the Self Serve Portal. It's empowered our end-users to take control of basic tasks, reducing the number of support requests we receive. They can install approved apps and handle simple troubleshooting, which means we can concentrate on more complex issues. The new Assignment Maps are also a fantastic addition. We now have a clear visual representation of our device assignments, making it much easier to diagnose and resolve configuration problems. And when we've run into any questions, Kandji's support team has been incredibly responsive and helpful. We've found their sales team to be just as supportive, guiding us through the process with expertise. While we acknowledge that Kandji is specifically for Apple devices, and that the pricing might be a consideration for very small teams, for us, the efficiency and ease of use have made it a worthwhile investment. We're confident that Kandji has significantly improved our workflow and allowed us to better manage our Apple fleet.

Cons

The one feature I do wish Kandji has that it's competitors do is the option to deploy a Library Item to only one device in an easy and streamlined way.

### "Reliable and User-Friendly MDM for Growing Teams"

May 21, 2025

5.0

Our experience with Kandji has been overwhelmingly positive. As a mid-sized agency managing a fleet of around 150 Apple devices, we needed a reliable, scalable, and secure MDM. Kandji met and exceeded those expectations. From onboarding to daily operations, it has simplified IT administration, reduced user friction, and improved compliance. It’s an ideal solution for fast-moving teams that want a balance between powerful features and elegant usability.

Pros

Kandji has significantly streamlined our Apple device management since we adopted it in 2022. The interface is clean and intuitive, the automation via Blueprints saves us hours of manual configuration, and the zero-touch deployment works flawlessly with Apple Business Manager. The integration with our existing tools has been seamless. Support is fast, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Cons

While generally excellent, there are a few limitations when it comes to more advanced network or VPN configuration profiles. Also, the reporting dashboard could offer deeper real-time analytics on device compliance and update statuses.

Reason for choosing Iru

We chose Kandji because it offered the best balance of ease of use, modern UI, and powerful automation features out-of-the-box. Unlike Jamf Pro and Intune, Kandji required minimal onboarding effort while still providing enterprise-level control over Apple devices. The Blueprint system, zero-touch deployment, and native integration with Apple Business Manager were far more intuitive and aligned with our team's workflows. We also appreciated the fast, personal support compared to the more rigid or complex alternatives.

### "Kandji review for Schools"

September 11, 2025

5.0

Kandji has been great. The negotiations when coming to renewal have been the worst part as most vendors in the UK offer an automatic educational discount. Also the payment in dollars proves a little bit of an issue as we are never sure exactly what we are paying until the invoice is processed. This makes it more difficult to budget and future decisions have to be made based on currency conversion rates that may not be accurate at time of purchase. Have had contact with \[sensitive content hidden\] recently and she has been incredibly helpful and responsive.

Pros

Kandji is very intuitive and easy to use as an MDM in schools. Support has always been responsive when needed and the features are exactly what is needed by an admin. The whole IT team find it easy to use and provide support to our users.

Cons

Pricing structure could do with automatic educational discount. UK schools are low on funds and automatically move towards cheaper competitor products. If Kandji were to be able to offer an automatic discount to UK schools I believe they would garner a big foothold due to the ease of use.

### "Easy and Fast MDM for the Apple Ecosystem"

August 28, 2025

5.0

The transition from Jamf to Kandji went smoothly back then and was completed quickly. Even today, we are still very satisfied with Kandji. Except for 1–2 cases where we lacked a bit of flexibility, we have never regretted the decision to switch. On the contrary, Kandji is excellent at giving back time and effort to our IT department that we previously had to invest due to fewer automated workflows. Its ease of use, solid structure, and extensive automations make Kandji a truly valuable tool.

Pros

The system is easy to understand and has a lot of features that give time back to the IT department. Automatically updating apps is just one part of it. The fast and always available user support is another point that helps a lot.

Cons

The only thing I would mention here is that if you need a complexing and deep scripting possibility, it has its limitations.

### "Set-and-forget features make Kandji ideal for a small team"

September 15, 2025

5.0

Kandji has been a lifesaver for our small team with no dedicated Mac admin. It saves us plenty of time and does the job better than other platforms that we've tried.

Pros

Kandji takes the work out of macOS management. Almost everything in the platform is set-and-forget. Using Auto Apps makes it very easy to perform routine patching without our small team needing to think about it. An extra benefit to Auto Apps is the ability to patch apps that were not installed via Kandji. Many other features, such as OS updates are also set-and-forget. The support for all features, via both Chat, Email, and our Account Rep has always been great.

Cons

Kandji has limited support for third-party configurations. We have found that most mobileconfig files need to be manually created and uploaded to Kandji as a Custom Profile. Since my Windows sysadmins are used to the point-and-click abilities in Intune, it would be great if Kandji would build out support for point-and-click configurations of the apps it published as Auto Apps.

### "All-in-one MDM, EDR, and Vulnerability system that's very easy to deploy"

September 19, 2025

4.0

Pros

The simplicity and speed of which you can get setup. Kandji is by far way easier than Jamf. More recently, we signed up for EDR and Vuln which have simplified the number of vendors we have and requires significantly less time, maintenance, and money to manage these systems.

Cons

Not having the ability to assign a device to multiple blueprints. Or maybe not having the ability to have an assignment map of blueprints (not in blueprints). For example, if someone is say in the Engineering group, they get Blueprints 1, 2, and 3. Not being able to save filters globally. Instead they're just for the person logged in. Sort of like a help desk, it would be great to point to the same filters in documentation for IT people. For example I have a filter for devices that have a Status of Warning, which I call "Needs Remediation".

### "Kandji has been a game-changer"

August 8, 2025

We recently implemented Kandji for managing our iOS devices, and the experience has been fantastic. The platform is straightforward to navigate, with clear and concise setup instructions that made the process seamless. It's fully loaded with features that have significantly streamlined our onboarding and device management processes. Overall, Kandji has been a game-changer, simplifying iOS management and saving us time and effort. Highly recommend it for any organisation looking for an efficient solution!

Pros

Comprehensive Features: Full suite of features, including device enrollment, app management, and security configurations. Clear Setup Instructions: Detailed and easy-to-follow setup guides, which make the implementation process straightforward. Automation: Excellent automation capabilities that save time, especially during onboarding and app deployment. ### "Kandji for the Win!"

July 2, 2025

5.0

Jumping in to Kandji for our small fleet of Macs was the right decision. It has been easy to use for both end users and Admins, a straightforward "blueprint" building scheme, and an ample library that is FUN to use and customize. Money well spent that has freed up the IT team's time and energy for other aspects of our Helpdesk.

Pros

For the IT Team, Kandji was easy to roll-out. The Kandji team were present during the onboaridng process as we transitioned away from that other product that starts with the letters JAMF. For our end users, the easy to use "self service portal" was a godsend, as it gives people the freedom to install certain software at their leisure. Locking, Wiping, Encrypting laptops is intuitive and easy.

### "Simple, Reliable, and Powerful"

June 21, 2025

5.0

Pros

Kandji has been an outstanding solution for our device management needs. It’s incredibly easy to use, with an intuitive UI that makes navigating and managing tasks simple—even for those who aren’t deeply technical. One of the things I appreciate most is that it just works the way it's supposed to—no surprises, no extra hassle. The integrations are another big plus. ### "Kandji is the right choice if you need a turn-key, security-focused solution."

July 18, 2025

5.0

Kandji allowed us to add Macs to our fleet of mostly Windows devices without too much headache. I had an initial configuration built within an hour of accessing the dashboard for the first time. It is a great solution if you need something that is turn-key, security-focused, and capable of automating tasks.

Pros

Kandji's simple structure made for an easy deployment. The integrated security standards and all-in-one agent which includes MFA login are what separate Kandji. We also were able maintain patch management with a basic config.

Cons

Kandji can be pricey, but it is well worth it for a turn-key, well-designed solution. We were able to forgo adding a department member when adding Macs to our device fleet.

### "Kandji Device Management - Game Changer"

October 7, 2025

5.0

Our overall experience with Kandji has been very positive, and we have been pleased. Our migration from Jamf went as smoothly as possible. Enrollments have been seamless, App installations, configurations, and updates work as they should.

Pros

Usability. Kandji has been much more user friendly than Jamf Pro. Customer support has been very responsive and helpful, especially when we needed assistance with migrating to Kandji from Jamf.

Cons

Some of the extra features/add ons such as Vulnerability Management and Endpoint Detection & Response, are a bit too expensive for some organizations. Devices searches can be time consuming, as you can not search for more than one device at a time.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Iru

Kandji has more features, and is more user friendly.

Switched from

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)

Jamf Pro was consuming too much time related to software and macOS updates. Many times macOS updates/upgrades were unreliable. Technical support was also becoming an issue, and answers/solutions were sometimes vague.

### "Top notch Customer Service"

June 26, 2025

5.0

I'm an IT Manger with over 2 decades of experience. I have used various MDM solutions and many have fallen short in Customer Service. I currently use Kandji at 3 different companies, where one company has actively used it for at least 2 years. Needless to say, Kandji is at the top of my list for MDMs.

Pros

The one touch deployment and application management systems are intuitive and very easy to use. Their greatest Pro is their Customer Service team. Lately many companies rely on their Chatbot with endless suggestions which will ultimately direct you to the FAQ section. Kandji's Chat will ask one question and then connect you with a live person if you prefer. Their team consists of engineers are very knowledgeable about Kandji AND Apple, and most importantly, they will stay with you until your issue is resolved.

Cons

Fortunately for me, all my experiences with their Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams have been great. I have not had any bad experiences.

The lower cost solution offered did not provide functionality I needed after a year of use. They upgrade was too expensive. The customer service was slow to respond. I was not sure if it was do to my tier level or their process.

### "Easy & Effective Apple MDM"

June 25, 2025

5.0

It's super easy to use and learn, support is always friendly and informative and it's a great company to work with.

Pros

It's ease of use and effectiveness. Members of my team with limited Apple knowledge were able to learn it and use it to manage our Apple devices.

Cons

That its just for Apple devices. It's such a great tool - I would love to be able to use it for Windows and Android devices!

Reason for choosing Iru

Price and ease of use. Both Intune and Ivanti are hard to learn and Intune doesn't handle Apple products well.

### "Highly Satisfactory Experience"

June 26, 2025

5.0

We as an organization have greatly benefited from utilizing Kandji to streamline device management. It takes a lot of the time and energy that we would have to spend on our own to control this.

Pros

I love the ability to write custom scripts and launch them on select devices. This gives us the ability to launch and service devices in a way that are so specific to our needs and wants. Kandji does a great job of reporting back the state of success or failures with those devices and the running script.

Cons

I wish there was even more granular control of devices or settings. I would also love for better data segregation on devices or better documentation of precisely how it all works in great detail. (If possible)

Alternatives considered

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)

Reason for choosing Iru

It best fit our needs, scale, and scope of business. We felt good about the pricing and have enjoyed our existing relationship and support. We hope it continues that was as Kandji grows and develops.

### "Great Apple MDM for Small - Medium Sized Businesses"

June 12, 2025

5.0

We migrated from Jamf Now to Kandji a few years ago. The experience was mostly painless once we had all the appropriate configurations dialed in in Kandji. There were a few devices that could not be migrated and we were forced to wipe and re-enroll them in Kandji via Automated Device Enrollment, but this was Apple/Jamf Now's fault. not Kandji's. Since then, the experience administering our fleet of Macs using Kandji has been pretty great. As I told my Kandji account rep, I have to deal with a lot of problems as an IT administrator, but Kandji is almost never one of them. The experience enforcing software updates has gotten so much better the last few years as Apple has improved its MDM framework. I know Kandji will be ready for us on day 1 when a major version of macOS is released, so that's another thing I don't have to worry about.

Pros

Kandji is relatively easy to set up and configure, does what we need it to do, and does what it says it does. Also Kandji Support is great. On multiple occasions they've gone above and beyond to provide me a solution to a complicated problems.

Cons

Cost can be a bit expensive for very small businesses (Under 25 devices). You don't get the same level of customization options as you get with Jamf Pro. But I think it's a worthwhile trade off because it's much less complicated to set up and configure. Jamf Pro is best for large organizations who can have 1 or more dedicated persons on staff who's primary job responsibility is MDM administration. If you have many other job responsibilities besides just MDM, Kandji is very likely the better solution for you.

Alternatives considered

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)

Reason for choosing Iru

Jamf Pro provides the ultimate level of customizability, but comes at the cost of being much more complicated to configure. Being a small business, I don't have time to spend my entire day configuring Jamf Pro. Kandji does everything we need it to do, and is much easier for us to maintain. Also helped a lot that Kandji came in with a much better price quote than Jamf Pro.

Switched from

[Jamf Now](https://www.capterra.com/p/140106/Jamf-Now/)

Jamf Now is trash. We couldn't do basic stuff consistenty with the platform like install non-App Store apps and enforce software updates. It was practically useless. Kandji is orders of magnitude better.

### "MDM of the Future"

June 12, 2025

5.0

I came from a previous job as a Jamf admin, and I can say that I’ll take Kandji any day. I have a fully functioning, automated setup after very little setup time. Support is great, and there is a thriving community of Kandji admins on Slack.

Pros

It’s incredibly easy to use. Auto Apps, Passport, and Managed OS just work, letting me leave the day-to-day work with Kandji while I focus on larger issues. I also love the Kandji Passport is baked into the pricing, and not an additional cost.

Cons

Their blueprint method for scoping your deployments takes some time to get used to, and it can be hard to find what you’re looking for.

Alternatives considered

[Jamf Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/164492/Jamf-Pro/)[Microsoft Intune](https://www.capterra.com/p/230703/Microsoft-Endpoint-Manager-MEM/)

Reason for choosing Iru

Intune is not up to snuff. There are critical configurations missing for enrollment, and too many manual steps were needed for a successful deployment. Jamf was more expensive than Kandji, required additional payment for their Passport competitor, and would require more configuration.

Switched from

[Workspace ONE](https://www.capterra.com/p/206931/VMware/)

Workspace One is behind on features. We needed to be able to have a modern enrollment experience that could meet our security requirements while also alleviating burdens placed on our support staff.

### "Great value"

August 20, 2025

5.0

Kandji is an excellent MDM solution that has greatly improved our organization's efficiency and security. Its ease of use, powerful automation, and outstanding support make it an indispensable tool for managing a fleet of Apple devices. It’s a "set-it-and-forget-it" platform that delivers reliability and peace of mind.

Pros

The seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem and its user-friendly interface are top-notch. The automation features, especially for patching and security, are huge time-savers. Excellent customer support is a major plus.

Cons

The custom scripting could be more user-friendly, and the reporting dashboard could offer more advanced customization. The lack of support for non-Apple operating systems is a limitation for mixed-device environments.
